Obama’s ‘kill list’ critic found dead in New York City

Prominent American blogger and computer prodigy Aaron Swartz, who spoke against US President Barack Obama’s “kill list” and cyber attacks against Iran, has been found dead in New York.

Police found the body of the 26-year-old in his apartment in New York City borough of Brooklyn on Friday, said a spokeswoman for the city’s chief medical examiner.

Brooklyn’s chief medical examiner ruled the death a suicide by hanging, but no further detail is available about the mysterious death.

Last year, Swartz openly criticized the US and the Israeli regime for launching joint cyber attacks against Iran.

The blogger was also vocal in criticizing Obama’s so-called kill list and other policies.

Obama has been reportedly approving the names put on the “kill lists” used in the targeted killing operations carried out by US assassination drones.

Speaking of his blog, this one he wrote on experts & success

Was pretty inspiring and insightful for entrepreneurs or those who wish to create real change in the world.

I thought it was fishy at first too but....

Then a friend who has been following Aaron for some time now showed me this link: http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/dying

Also, I found this article which gives more info on the situation than the above article: http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/13/aaron-swartzs-family-frien...

The last one still points the finger at the Fed, but in a different way than is implied by this post.

If anyone has anything that would further support it not being a suicide then I would love to see it.

No matter how it happened, it's all very tragic.

Just because you write a really stupid tongue-in cheek story

Years ago doesn't mean you're going to kill yourself.

Seriously, he died to relieve psychological phantom pains from eating in 2007? You're really reaching here.

Did you read the other link as well?

All I'm saying is that the information that has been presented in this thread so far has been one sided. The other side does give some credence to his death possibly being a suicide (especially the death related posts that he wrote himself on his blog). Does the info I posted prove that he committed suicide? Not at all. It does however cast doubt onto the hard and fast assumption that fowl play was involved.

Altruist Dems just want to help you

... so bad they will kill you if necessary to "help" you ...

Isn't that special ? Mmmmm ?

Oh yeah, it smells

I also want to stop and thank all of you for digging all this sort of stuff up and bringing it here on days during which my time is too limited to find it myself.

Begs the question. How do we

Begs the question. How do we know that this guy wasn't on Obama's kill list? Afterall... no oversight, no guidlines for what lands you on the list. Does it say anywhere that the assassination can't be staged to look like a suicide?

The SS is on the march.

He was also very much

He was also very much involved in getting cispa and other government run internet stuff defeated.

I smell a rat...

I smell a rat...

He co-founded Reddit, recently bought out by Conde Nast

Aka a massive media giant that owns the likes of Wired.com, Vogue, GQ, style.com, arstechnica.com, The New Yorker, etc, etc. This was a big deal. Since then the site has become massively pro-Obama in time for the 2012 for the election.

Reddit makes the Daily Paul look like a microscopic peanut gallery in terms of traffic.

He also created RSS. You know that feed thing on like every web page since the late 90's.

The so called charges were apparently BS since JSTOR, the owner of the copyright refused to prosecute. The files he downloaded were ones he had also paid to own.

Even if he was completely broke (which neither he or family was) I'm sure he could have easily money bombed his defense.

This is like the equivalent of Nystrom suiciding himself over that Righthaven case instead of going to court.

Even if he did kill himself

Even if he did kill himself it was probably because of the stress of facing the charges and prison time. The feds filed charges even though he returned the files to the university and they did not want to prosecute. I bet if the feds would have left him alone he would still be alive today.

The Justice Department was threatened with embarassment

They were facing another lose in Federal Court. However you suggest that government officials must be given the benefit of the doubt?

I am just saying we don't

I am just saying we don't know for sure what happened.

I don't know for sure either.

Free includes debt-free!

For fuck's sake. Not

For fuck's sake. Not everything is a government assassination. He was stressed out about the fact he was facing fines of $1 million and 50 years in prison for leaking academic journals and couldn't take it anymore. Turning every little thing into a conspiracy theory while ignoring the open and blatant conspiracies in Congress gives us no credibility.

For F's sake, do your homework!

He was never going to serve 50 years and he is from an affluent family and the $1 million in fines was a non issue.

Realize how much this young man had going and the difference he would have made by being alive to have the forum to uncover the corruption, etc. He was a liability to the power elite and he was taken out. Wake up!

The chief medical officer rules death a suicide?

Free includes debt-free!

Also, crusaders who are

Also, crusaders who are willing to risk their lives for a cause do not exactly fit the profile for suicides.

This was an assassination by the SS. Plain and simple. The nazis are back, and they look like bankers and puppet politicians now.

As they murder more of us, the truth will become more apparent..

They think that they are silencing a movement when in reality they are just helping to bring more people into the fold.

Blowback... It's unavoidable.

A better strategy would be to bring prosperity back to the nation by accepting reality and governing according to the prescriptions thereof. This strategy is "win-win" while their current strategy is "lose-lose."

"The rich man writes the book of laws the poor man must defend, but the highest laws are written on the hearts of honest men."

so the conspiracy theory on this one is?

Is it going to be the critic was then put on the kill list?

I wonder where this story will lead us, hopefully the truth will be tossed in every now and again.
