Breakin & Confirmed: Wal Mart Is Not Going To Order Any More Ammo

Investment Watch Blog: I do not have a link as of yet but here is what I have found out…

Stopped by my local Wal Mart this morning. They are out of almost every kind of ammo.
I asked to talk to the person in charge of ordering to see if they had any information on this subject.
The manager I talked to said they had not heard anything…BUT.

She tried to order some .223 as I was standing there. She said the order was being rejected by the corporate office. Said she had never had that happen.

She called corporate as I was standing there.

And was told this. “As of right now Wal Mart is not going to be making any new orders of ammo because of the upcoming decision on the second amendment”. Said, “As of right now we are unsure of what new legislation might be coming, and because of this, we are suspending new orders. We will continue to sell what is already in stock in stores and at our distribution centers, but any new orders will not be shipped until the issue is resolved”.

So after they run out, there will be no restocking until Obama makes his decision…Hows that change working out for you now?

As I said, I dont have a link, but you can call Wal Mart headquarters at 1-800-925-6278 for yourself and ask. After the answer press 2 then 1 then 1 again and wait to talk to a rep. I just did this myself and was told the same thing.

Something must have changed at the meeting they had on Thursday

Wal Mart denies it, but...

Wal Mart is the epitome of "evil corporations" so I hope they go out of business even if it is only a rumor. I suspect it is not a rumor, the denial is merely an attempt to keep the cash registers ringing.

And now comes the bribe....Wal-Mart Pledges To Hire

100,000-Plus Veterans

(AP) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer and the nation's largest private employer, is making a pledge to hire every veteran who wants a job. The plan is expected to be announced as part of an address delivered in New York on Tuesday at the annual retail industry convention by Bill Simon, president and CEO of Wal-Mart's namesake U.S. business. The company says it projects it will hire more than 100,000 veterans in the next five years. Honorably discharged veterans will have a "place to go", says Wal-Mart's Simon. The hiring pledge covers veterans within 12 months of leaving active duty. Wal-Mart which also operates Sam's Clubs, employs more than 1.4 million workers in the U.S

Minimum wage, of course. No benefits other than what the gov't (you and me) is willing to pay.

We need to...

start a new retail chain. Maybe called "Liberty Mart". Nationwide co-op type thing. With an entire aisle full of ammo! :D

Screw WalMart.

Anyone who did not stock up with ammo by the time the 2011 NDAA passed deserves to be "low on ammo."

Besides, when this thing gets started, there will be plenty of it laying around.

SPORTSMAN GUIDE has ammo.

Hmm

Sounds like I need to double-check my go-bag.

Good! That opens up more demand to smarter companies

Don't jump in that Briar Patch now Wal Mart

The Red Coats are coming!

Oh Well

If anything, the gun owning community should boycott buying ammo from Wally World. Should have done so years ago.

That was one of the few things I bought there . . .

at least it mostly was American made.

So now there won't be any reason to go there at all.

Buying at Wall Mart = Trading with the enemy

Well, this will only hurt Wal-Mart.

Where there is a demand, there is always supply

They are a business, so they

They are a business, so they must make a business decision. It has no other deep meanings because they do not make the laws. The problem begins and ends with voters and their representatives.

I heard this on the news on my commute home from work.

I personally do not shop at Wally World. However, they are known to have some of the lowest prices around. When there is a shortage of any commodity, the price always goes up. It is my guess that they can no longer afford to buy ammo and guns at a low price so they are just going to give up on it. Also, if I were a manufacturer, I would supply the buyers that are willing to pay a premium before I filled the orders for the lower prices.

~Your perception becomes your reality~

For the past few years...

I seem to easily find nearly everything cheaper somewhere else. Kroger's consistently has lower normal prices and offers quite a bit of markdown. Walmart rarely has markdowns.

For non-food items Amazon beats them most of the time. Especially if one is patient and looks for sales. Also no tax and delivery to my front door is nice.

I just went to Wal-Mart

in Gaffney, SC and the lady behind the counter said that she has heard that but cant confirm that. I looked around to find hardly any ammo, so I asked if she got any in tonight and she said no.

Federal Reserve Member of Companies.

Bankers want us disarmed before they send in the repo men.

Congress put us $16.2 Trillion (10 billion ounces of gold).

Where are we the people going to come up with 120 thousand tons of gold?

We have spent some $4 Trillion on the wars this decade.

If it costs them $4 Trillion to collect 16.2 Trillion. Would you spend 4 ounces of gold to recover 16 ounces? 12 ounces is better than nothing. The wars will stimulate their economies.

Bernancke is selling new loans to Congress. While Congress is threatening default leaving us on the hook though the 14th Amendment. Congress never misses a chance to throw the people under the bus. Don't expect the military to be issued orders to help us.

None of these Congressional clowns can claim to represent a majority of eligible voters. They had better stop clowning around.

Ron Paul proposed a real start towards fixing our debt problem.

When we are out of debt, then it will be a free country again.

Here is a recording of a call

Here is a recording of a call to WalMart . . . the customer service rep says there is a new policy on ammo according to the "Federal Gun Control Act, the new law that the President is getting ready to enact."

I am very suspicious of this.

I am very suspicious of this. I have seen this same thing floating around the net in different forms. Not calling total BS but the smell is there.

Wal Mart has probably been given orders

by the Chinese to stop. They basically own the company, since, 95% of the goods sold are made in China. It was reported that Wal Mart already to a big hit from their extremely low Christmas revenues, so maybe with this latest decision will spin them into bankruptcy, like they did to most of the local 'mom and pop' stores. It would be wonderful for the Walton aires to lose some of their profits from selling America out!

Wal-Mart

Officially to big to fail status achieved.

went there today.

woman at the gun department just shook her head and said "we will sell what's legal"........... Only high dollar hunting ammo was on the shelf.

Save your ammo folks. The executive order is coming and you...

Sam Walton's...

Sam Walton's descendants together have a greater net worth than the bottom 30% of all Americans.

I have noticed a drastic down-turn in how well Walmart stores are run over the past 10-15 years. I think that Walmart's days may be numbered. I try to stay away as much as possible.

Mark

I just got off the phone with Wal-Mart

They obviously have had some phone calls on this issue, as the customer service rep. had a prepared statement specifically for people calling on this issue. He said that while Wal-Mart has had trouble keeping up with demand, that they had no plans to "change their habits" with regards to ammunition.

NOOOOOOOO

I was going to go to the range a couple times this week.

"the upcoming decision on the second amendment"?

ok DID YOU JUST DROP ONE? Cause I just did. Upcoming decision on the 2nd Amendment? By SCOTUS? Like did we all miss something or are legislators gonna have a vote on it or something? It expired? "We decided not to renew the 2nd amendment"?

Why are they doing this when they know they will sell every round? I guess their supply chains might be that far ahead...Well this will certainly drive the business more locally and to gun shows more than ever. Big deal.
