rank republicans by amount of respect shown to Ron Paul

0 votes

This is a spin off a mini-thread in another post.

In order of disrespectful to respectful, this is my opinion.

1. McCain
2. Gulianni
3. Thompson
4. Huckabee
5. Romney
6. Hunter

What do you all think?

As a caveat, I listened to all the debates, but did not see them all, so I may have missed some grimmaces and laughing by the other candidates.

Thompson just hasn't had his

Thompson just hasn't had his turn yet. At all the debates, one of the Fox Forumers is the designated hit man with an obviously prepared set of buzz words.

Giuliani pretending he'd never heard any explanations for 9/11 other than "they hate us because we wear miniskirts",

Huckabee with his "I got dibs on the word Honor",

McCain and his little "I just can't abide letting Ron Paul speak about the war",

Romney with his inside knowledge about "Ahmahdinejad's newsletter".

It just hasn't been Thompson's turn yet. You do have to be on the ball to look for your opening.

Defend Liberty!

wait

are you trying to imply that Fred isn't paying attention? Because it takes great concentration to sleep standing up with your eyes open.

They've all had their moments

From best to worst:

Huckabee had a couple dust-ups with Paul but never brought out the caustic wit.

Guiliani has toned it down recently, probably humbled by defeat.

Romney had one scripted barb on Ahmadenijad but that seemed forced. He's a puppy dog.

Thompson's grumbles are like your grandpa waking up from a nap. But he's far harder on Huckabee than Paul.

McCain needs to check his ego because it doesn't fit in the overhead compartment. His attacks smack of desperation because he's fighting for the same voters.

my 2 cents

romney - he takes the political stabs, yes, but also shakes ron's hand after the debates and i have caught him twice grimacing at how dr. paul gets unfair treatment. mittens plays the game. he even gave a ron paul supporter some air time recently. rombot is still a dick though. especially to questioners.

hucky - he parlays for sure and disagrees, but doesn't flat out disrespect him. of course, he has the push polls for that.

thompson - oh hell ron, can't we just go have a bourbon and stop this "who's the best conservative crap"?

judy - that snickering slug. bet he got beat up in the sand box alot as a kid.

mccain - "my friend" is the most insincere thing a politician can say to me. he treats ron like a pariah. he can say "respectfully congressman paul" but....and then fly off with some racist anti-islam rant. its a complete insult to paul's intelligence and thats why John McLame gets my top vote for disrespect.

My List

1. McCain (the smirking assassin)
2. Romney ("reading Ahmadinejad's memos"... Argh!)
Tie 3. Thompson ("printing money is bad?")
Tie 3. Giuliani (Let's not start on the Ghoul)
5. Huckabee ("Israel, Israel, Israel." Pander, pander, pander.)
6. Hunter (doesn't have enough time in his answers to be disrespectful)

Ron Paul

But he has since showed him respect.

(if I had to, I guess I could rank one as the WORST...the CACKLING idiot GHOUL)

okay...

...with smirking, shell-shocked, blood dripping from his EYES, MacInsane a close second-worst, I suppose!!

(excuse me while I go RALPH....at the thought that he is one of "my" Senators!!)

1-6

McCain
Thompson
Romney
Giuliani
Huckabee
Hunter

Thompson was off the chart in SC. Condescension to he max. Romney's Ahmadineajad comment was disgraceful. -JP

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

Ugh

Yeah I totally forgot about that Ahmadineajad comment

My first title

didn't match the post too well, so I changed it
