Washington Post "Gun Survey" Data Oddities

I was looking over the data for the Washington Post "Gun Survey" That every liberal network is is referencing as fact:

Raw Data Here:

If you scroll to the bottom of the raw data you see a couple of interesting points:

22. Do you or does anyone in your house own a gun, or not?

As you will see, most of these "random national" respondents do not own a gun yet everytime they poll they seem to get a similar answer in a nation where the majority of homes are supposed to own a gun...

Are they calling the same people or dialing the same area code pattern?

901. Generally speaking, do you usually think of yourself as (a Democrat), (a Republican), an independent or what?

Again, almost identical makeup every time.... This doesn't look very "random" in terms of a fair national sample to me.

Anyhow, for those with more experience interpeting poll data can you tell me if I am reading this wrong?
