Rand Paul: Iron Domes for White House, Capitol and Major US Cities!

Senator Rand Paul Wednesday said there was "no reason" the United States shouldn't have its own version of Israel's Iron Dome to defend the homeland from missile attacks.

"I saw presentations of the Iron Dome and it was very impressive," Paul said in a conference call with reporters fresh off a weeklong trip to Israel and Jordan. Paul added that he is "absolutely in favor of it."

"There's no reason why our White House, our Capitol, and major cities shouldn't have missile defense," Paul said, after referencing the 9/11 attacks.

Cool! Rand is so "undercover" that he's advocating for even MORE printed money to be thrown at the MIC for a useless system that will protect Freedom/American-Pie/Football/Fireworks/TeamUSA! This guy is so much like a standard Republican, why, it could never be pandering and a personal desire for power! No way, it's part of his super secret plan to restore liberty to our nation! Better get started on those Rand 2016 posters. What could we say? Hmmm:

In Rand's defense, defense of the country is a legitimate duty

And spending on defense of the country is in line with the Constitution. Also, at least he is pondering a missile defense system, and not what other countries to offensively bomb.

He might not be an anarcho-capitalist purist, but he is still staying in the confines of the Constitution (and I can't think of one instance where he has overtly violated it).

I'm glad that you first try and justify his desire to spend more of the MICs money domestically, that's such a noble cause. Then, to back up your "at least he's doing this not that" pandering, you sneer at me by calling me an "anarcho capitalist purist", as though this is a bad thing. I trust the Rand 2016 campaign can count on your fruitless moneybombs? At least you'll feel good about yourself. ;)

I knew about Israels "iron domes" and it took a second for it to dawn on me that's what he meant. I actually did think for a second he literally meant actual domes as a tongue in cheek thing lol.

The idea of this seems ludicrous. I can't think of any probable way for this to even be accomplished let alone the fact that it will cost billions to do.

This apple has legs and can't decide if it wants to remain close to the tree or roll away. I hope this is just a bit of a guise and his principles and ideals are much closer to his fathers.
