Yeah, man. Don't mess with those constitutional experts at the New York Times!

Judge Nap

He looks thinner, doesn't he? I hope to God he's in good health!

The year is 2016: Rand Paul

The year is 2016: Rand Paul selects Andrew Napolitano for Supreme Court justice.

Is There a Constitutional Lawyer Here Today?

My question to you (sir or madam) is this.

It appears to me the requirement to register existing semi-automatic firearms owned by private citizens enacted by Governor Cuomo and his sycophantic legislature amounts to an ex post facto law which violates Article 1, Section 10 the U.S. Constitution (see: http://lawbrain.com/wiki/Ex_Post_Facto_Laws and http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_A1Sec10.html ).

Effectively New York State government is punishing people for not registering their previously purchased and legally owned semi-automatic firearms prior to this new law. The punishment for non-compliance will ultimately be jail time.

How is this law not ex post facto?

Obama was a constitutional

Obama was a constitutional lawyer. All of us here are better students of the constitution than any lawyer.

Ex post facto would be a factor in this scenario. Granted, registering firearms is unconstitutional but that didn't stop them. You can definitely bring the case of ex post facto to the court, but good luck getting a New York judge to rule in your favor!

The Judge is a hero.

This "Fox and Friends" is a sad outlet for such a great discussion.

Now- Serious discussion about Constitution

7:50- 5 Companies hiring now

lulz

Take what you can get

Most people aren't political junkies like us, and if this type of discussion isn't mixed in with other "news", they'll never hear it at all.

"Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the forms of kings to govern him?" -Thomas Jefferson

Constitutionalist

Is Andrew Napolitano considered a Constitutionalist, and NOT Libertarian?

Very good! Bump

Great! Bump

Shall not be infringed. Regulated, outlawed or confiscated.

This from a President who has order the killing of 4.3 children a day for the last four years.

Yet pardoned the Thanksgiving Turkey. What a monster!

Free includes debt-free!

Great Judge Napolitano segment!

This is a great segment with him!
