I've decided to surrender all my modern weapons and high capacity magazines
Submitted by Chessienut on Thu, 01/17/2013 - 08:52and return to the types of weapons that existed when the Second Amendment was crafted, as soon as the media ceases broadcasting and returns to printing out newspapers one page at a time as it was when the First Amendment was written.
What do you think Piers...up to it? The consolidation of the power of the media, and their accepting of advertising revenue from Big Pharm, is a million times more threatening to our way of life than any fire arm. One only has to look at the photographs of the miserable miscreants who committed the last few mass murders to get a grip upon what is really the root cause of this issue. And Obama is now throwing a blank check to the mental health industry.

Great post
and very good comments
“Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality”
Ill consider not defending myself after I am
dead. Until then ill use the best means available to protect myself my family freinds and neighbors.

Pitchfork march on the capitol anyone?

That may be--LITERALLY--a great idea!
Is this what you suggest? Literally?
How sweetly (and humorously) symbolic!
It would say something about the gun issue, in a sorta sideways fashion, too. Or actually quite directly!
Imagine, thousands of people with... pitchforks! And lines held up in airports as people must properly package and check in their *pitchforks* to take to DC ! LOL!
Pitchforks would be on back order rather quickly, however, I'd guess. I don't think orders are placed for P-forks by the thousand anymore (or ever?).
Is there something here?
:)
They couldn't respond / make threats to us the way they did in the past when people threatened to march on DC with guns.... (I recall hearing from some that the feds threatened to set off a bomb and blame the milita people [Was this in the 90s?].)
Out of pitchforks? I've got feathers!
BYO tar.

Pitchfork ban will
be the next executive order
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." (Dr. Seuss)
This is why I keep advocating
for a world of "nerf" - If we're going to ban guns we should address all of the TOOLS which are utilized in 3x the violent crime as guns. Blunt objects.
Killing someone is not an "oops I killed someone" kinda thing. It's a per-meditated act. The only thing banning guns will do is change a murder's plans... not defeat them.
All you have to do is look at UK violent crime stats to see that.

I'll consider domestic gun control when...
the US government stops arming any and all groups of criminals around the world that may possibly be an enemy of their enemy, for the moment. They're insane, they must believe that they can plausibly deny any carnage they're responsible for, while blaming law-abiding folks for the acts of crazies. Ironic, no?
*OK, the feds would have to take more steps than just that, like deporting themselves, en masse

"Terrorism is the war of the poor, while war is the terrorism of the rich
Right on the $$$ !
Yeah, and I'll consider handing mine in when:
1. people can protest in the streets in this country (on ANY and ALL streets--not being limited to a few blocks away from those against whom / whose policies they aim to protest) without being beaten down by armored thugs with batons, shields, rubber bullets, sound weapons, pepper spray, etc.
2. you don't have to fear being tasered by police for a traffic infraction / "talking back"
3. the various federal agencies who bought sh*tloads of hollow points give them up
4. I can go through an airport without my nads getting groped or irradiated
5. we go back to paper voting ballots in elections
6. NORTHCOM gets disbanded / reassigned
7. we pull out of BS wars abroad that make oil men rich
8. national guards and reserves return to exclusive control of the states, per Constitutional law
9. the dormant clandestine prison system here in the US gets shut down (the one for which Haliburton rec'd $385M to upgrade / construct in 2006)
10. all executive orders get public review and / or revoked
11. we limit terms for supreme court justices and members of congress
12. the Patriot Act gets widdled down / flushed
13. the NDAA gets flushed
14. the FBI ceases domestic criminal and terrorist activities and its top people are prosecuted if necessary
15. DHS gets shut down
16. the CIA ceases domestic criminal and terrorist activities and its top people are prosecuted if necessary
17. Bilderberg attendees (including presidents past and present) get brought up on charges for violation of the Logan Act
18. the IRS and Fed get audited / abolished
19. all federal level politicians who have committed crimes actually get prosecuted (with no respect to any statute of limitations)
20. domestic use of drones is prohibited
21. we are free from wrongful (and violent) search and seizure
And on and on and on ....
Wow! Great Job! Perfect response.

"The purpose of the Second Amendment is to arm people in order to prevent future tyranny. They need the tools to do this.
The term "Well Regulated" in the Second Amendment meant "Well Manned and Equipped " in 1791 as was determined in the 1939 United States v. Miller case after referencing the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. The concept of Government Regulation, as we understand it today, did not exist at the time.
United States v. Miller also determined that the term "Arms" refers to "Ordinary Military Weapons" (not crew operated). American Citizens have the right to Keep and Bear, which means Own and Carry, any weapons that a soldier carries into battle. That includes past, present and future weapons. A Militia consisted of armed volunteers willing to fight with their personal arms and not under government control.
To limit the Second Amendment to muskets would be the equivalent of limiting the First Amendment to writings in quill pens.
Liberty is worth the risk of death!"

Pointy sticks and town criers, all around!
Excellent. The set of decrees clearly avoid the real cause of these mass shootings - Pharmacide. And as you noted, they reward these murderers and have turned "doctors" into their minions and stool pigeons.
