Reince Priebus Now Courting Ron Paul Supporters

Breitbart: On Tuesday, the Associated Press reported that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who suddenly faces a challenge from Maine Republican National Committeeman Mark Willis in his bid for a second term, "has sought out Paul supporters as he seeks re-election."

The relationship between the Republican establishment and Ron Paul supporters within the GOP has been at times volatile over the past year, and until now Priebus has not proactively sought out support from the Ron Paul-Libertarian side of the party.

But Libertarian minded activists, many of whom supported Ron Paul, have gained ground as part of the Republican leadership in several states recently. In addition to Nevada, and Maine, they've had success in Iowa, Kentucky, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, and Minnesota.

In Iowa, Drew Ivers, who was Ron Paul's campaign chairman during the 2012 election cycle and is now the finance chairman for the Iowa Republican Party, is looking for leaders who can promote the Libertarian ideas captured in the Ron Paul campaign. As he told Reason Magazine recently, "[w]hether it's Rand Paul or someone else, I have allegiance not to them, but to their ideals. Whoever steps forward to lead that charge is the kind of leader we should champion."

Politics isn't a fucking game douchebag... Its dealing with the lives and well-being of millions of Americans. Those of you that think this is just a game need to go back to school and learn what really built this country. I bet generations of you "its only a game" thinkers haven't even bothered to run for office or make a difference or take a stand against anything. Instead you just plug along taking what little freedoms you have left for granted. Go ahead, continue being a sheep, let me know how it feels when you get sheered.

Who said anything about a game? I'm interested in winning elections to take power away from the violent criminals currently in control of this society. There are people who don't understand what is necessary to accomplish this - that would be you. All of you can go fuck yourselves, preferably in another country, where you don't vote or talk.

Please dont call me the same pet names you use for your mother

She wouldn't appreciate that.... and btw, if you scroll up a little bit someone commented on it being a "game".. learn to read douche

Priebus belongs in a Federal Prison

for election, rigging, tampering..And he shouldn't be alone, Mitt Romney belongs right beside him..The whole of that RNC national bunch, and throw "Boner" in as well..

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Agreed. I was there. That

Agreed. I was there. That convention was a travesty. I am NOT a Libertarian, but I thought I was a Republican, until I saw what went on at the RNC. Can it ever be saved by Mark? I hope so because Reince is a criminal and against the Mission of his own party..

Give me a break...

As if...
This dude's micro chip is on the blinks.

Priebus is a Communist.

Tar & Feathers will do just fine for this NWO suck up. The old skool way is sometimes the best way to treat a snake oil salesman and it's very American.

Too late Priebus you lying, corrupt RAT.

I heard Priebus might read the DailyPaul so I hope he sees this.

HEY PRIEBUS, after you and your party dissed Dr. Paul for years, don't waste your time with us now.

The GOP PURPOSELY RUINED their chance to nominate the best candidate since the likes of Washington, Jefferson and Quincy Adams in my opinion.

Because the GOP/RNC is a corrupt, Anti-American organization proven by the fact that they support:

The Patriot Act,
Pre-emptive wars,
Endless wars,
Foreign occupations,
Foreign aid by the billions,
National Endowment for the Arts,
Dept of Education,
Federal Reserve,
World bank,
International Monetary Fund,
Dept of Energy,
Big government with tons of agencies and programs,
and on and on...

Someone needs to reince his mouth out with soapy water... he's not good enough to even say Ron Paul's name much less approach his supporters

Slurp my butt.

Well if he reads

than this is reality, you pull any cheap shots and cheat your way through again the samething will happen for the 3 time, a loss and deterioration of the party.

I do remember Reince saying...

"I read the Daily Paul" when interviewed after the National Convention. I hope that is true. I hope that little sniveling piece of shit chokes on all of these comments.

FUCK YOU Reince Prejaculate.

Victor Escobar

Kick him to the curb!

You can't screw with us then want our support. Consistency is the key with us. This is the price you have to pay! Was it worth it?

Pardon my French but fuck off

Pardon my French but fuck off Priebus.

I second this.

Seriously, Priebus: Get the fuck out of this Country.

Not sure why this has so many down votes, I thought it was great

we are in this position! I think Mark Willis should ABSOLUTELY run on a platform of reversing the changes to Rule 12 and engage the grass roots in ALL the states to lobby for him.

Red State and Michelle Malkin etc were shoulder to shoulder with us fighting those rules changes. We would bring in others on that issue.

Have to add this:

It's a lonely job, driving a hearse.

Looking for love in all the Ron places.

Hey Priebus - remember this?

Any Ron Paul supporter would be nuts to back this guy.

First comment on that thread shows:

"Priebus is a pride preening piece of pooh."

Lol! ZING!

I surely won't be supporting

I surely won't be supporting that POLITICIAN. I have been a Ron Paul supporter for decades and I see this jerk as one who changes the rules or makes his own rules up as he goes along, much like Obama does.

Yo, Reince! Good luck with that.

Why don't you just resign (dis)gracefully now, because the GOP won't be getting any funding from the people you all of a sudden decided you need, as long as you're around. Elephants have L O N G memories, pal, and we won't forget what you and your friends did in Tampa.

We dislike Priebus for good reason, but...

...this is nonetheless good news. Why is he seeking our support? Because (contrary to the naysayers) we are gaining influence in the Republican Party. Priebus and the rest of the national leadership, despite the way they behave at times, are not dictators. They ultimately lead the party with the consent of the members of the party: which now includes us. Again, this is good news, a sign that we are winning!

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

I think you have a good point BUT

there's always a but. Don't you think Priebus just wants to use our platform and support to get more numbers on his side? If you look at some of the policies he supports/endorses, I think you'll be turned off. But hey, that's my opinion and I"m sure you have one, too.

"Priebus just wants to use [us]"

Of course. Priebus is a dirty establishment weasel. He's not asking for our support because he's had a change of heart. I'm not saying Priebus is now a good guy or a friend, all I'm saying is that the very fact that he feels he needs our support is a sign of our growing influence in the Republican party - and that our influence is on the rise is a good thing. Hence, I take this as good news. : )

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

I've seen this quote that Priebus

"has sought out Paul supporters as he seeks re-election" in the Brietbart and Reason articles without offering the source. Who has he actually contacted? What is he saying?

He got Spiker in Iowa to pledge his support - just before

it became generally known Mark Willis actually had a chance and that Priebus might actually NOT have the votes he needs.

SteveMT's picture

Reince who? Oh, he's the one who changed the rules in Tampa.

He changed the rules for nomination from fives states to eight states. He's the one who did not let Rand Paul say his father's name during Rand's speech. He's the one who wouldn't let Ron Paul speak for himself; instead the Ron Paul video was shown. Priebus will have better chances negotiating his fate with the devil than with Ron Paul supporters. The same recommendation goes to Jesse Benton and Jack Hunter, better to negotiate with Satan. This is a done deal, and they are all done as far as the Liberty Movement and Ron Paul supporters are concerned, IMO.

Clearly we still haven't figured out what the voting system is for....

I think sometimes

the topic is so infuriating to us that it's the idea of who is being reported on getting downvoted. Obviously NO ONE here wants to see this cowardly liars name or face ever again.
