PROMINENT Black Leaders tired of obama's lies..WOW! Listen!

This was on cspan today!

http://www.c-spanvideo.org/videoLibrary/

Please, listen to this. I said PROMINENT BLACK LEADERS not the "garden variety" lame street prop ups like sharpton and jackson but REAL and Courageous Black Americans like Dr. Cornell West!

Listen to what Dr. West has to say at 1:47 of the forum!
Listen to the air go out of the room after his first remark at that time!

This is a RON PAUL moment for dems if I EVER heard one!

Then, listen to Dr. West explain what he means and hear the folks in the audience come around to CHEER HIM.

I am so happy and so proud of what we have accomplished in this country.

Simply, amazing!

THIS is why we killed the gop, folks. We hoped and prayed the dems would, ultimately, SEE their errors but we had to give them obombya again for 4 more years. It was a tough call folks, a tough and bitter pill to swallow to allow this to happen to our country but we KNEW it was our ONLY chance because 8 years of mittens would kill us, too. We DID IT. We have been holding our breath hoping the dems would see and after this, I believe they DO!!!

I missed the first hour, or so but this last hour, and more, is MUSIC TO OUR EARS!

I hope you have the time to listen to what I listened to. I hope to listen to the rest later.

Huffington Post's response: SILENCE

So the same Website that Main Page's Headline was the NRA President advocatign for Armed Guards at Schools while ignoring David Gregory committing a felony on national television in the same interview, is now totally silent on Cornel West's sharp words on Obama.

...didn't see that coming.

Excuse me?!

Are you seriously implying that HuffPo would censor their news to make Obama look more favorable?!

Surely, you jest.

Whoever listens to this

Whoever listens to this discussion at 1 hour and 50 minutes for six or seven minutes, prepare yourself for the ever-wrong comprehension of economics topped with the cherry that money is bad. The person who says money is bad is brain dead on economics and, frankly, clueless or deceitful about how the world works whose operator is the bankster. The people on this panel are gate keepers.

Listen to gate keeper Gingrich at just about the start of hour two. I can't help but feel he's setting up something for the future in his feel good, substance aversion offer to the lady.

I felt the "grinch" to be the brunt of...

all of their accusations. He even chose to not answwer one of the questions at the end (in pure grinch form) as it wouldn't, "further the discourse of the discussion!" HA! you got that, right, grincho!

I listened to this first on radio and could almost feel the squirming little grinch wanting to slither away somewhere but, he's the grinch...he has NO SOUL! So he just took the accusations about the lobbyists who OWN washington, d.c. (and him) and let it roll off of his back like slimy politicians do. I loved it that he sat there and had to EAT IT!

grinch will never be more than a distraction abba, don't try to make him into more than that

and, btw, according to your own freaking signature and a great part of this panel's discussion (which seem to be ONE IN THE SAME concerning the failure of education in this country) you smack of hypocrisy by NOT seeing ANY positive in this discussion!

so, change your freaking signature or change your attitude towards a LOT of this speech because you CAN'T have both, "friend"...

You assume I listened to the

You assume I listened to the entire show rather than parts of it?

You'd do well to think before you act so that when you act, talking being an act, you act well. (RECOMMENDATION: Ask questions when you're unsure.)

Good day, assumptive, combative "friend."

PS. Speaking about hypocrisy, revisit your reply to me and the comment above my comment you replied to where you'll find a DPer who quoted wise words: Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.

what i could also, "assume"...

is that you, too are a "gatekeeper"...right?

you categorize the entire panel as "gatekeepers" yet they espouse much of the same ideals that your very own signature implies!

to do this without giving them the benefit of a listen undermines a certain lack of credibility in your position

how can you criticize them without, first, listening to them?

you risk being deemed irrelevent

i wish you would attack the message and not the messenger but you can't because you, too, are the messenger...according to your signature

*sigh*I have heard a couple

*sigh*

I have heard a couple of these panelists talk before they were on this panel. Their arguments are redundant, and to measure their credibility, I'm almost certain each person on that panel works in the capacity involving audiences, such as that of a teacher, a TV personality and a politician. Isn't that right? If so, and I think it is, to someone who recognizes their positions, they making these arguments amount to little more than Johnnies Come Lately, producers of speciousness.

If confirmation about that emptiness is needed, consult what Gingrich brought to the foreground when he invited the woman to tour a town with him and he with her to a town to survey them to build bi-partisanship, the relationship fake in one sense and real in a difference sense whose outcome chips away at freedom, something probably that slipped past most viewers. Did you catch that invitation, eco?

That invitation continues the story coursing through this country's history: People in certain places think they can do for people even though it, that doing, will deprive the meant-to-be-helped people of their abilities, resulting in nothing but their destitution. eco, those panelists aren't stupid and neither am I. That invitation blows up sincerity and turns intellectualism, the condition panels are meant to espouse, on its head.

Regardless a message's form, when a person who delivers a message more than once, let alone innumerable times, after the first time its realization causes disaster, eco, deriding the messenger not only is acceptable, it is incumbent. Each thing has a time and place. There is a time to attend a message (always, hopefully) and there is a time to attend the messenger (never, hopefully). And the person who recognizes those times is wise, eco. Because, there might be a time when the messenger wears out his welcome or unwelcomed presence.

Just sayin'.

"Government can be affirmative..."

Oh, really? When has a government ever been affirmative?

sheesh! have some compassion, for one thing, and UNDERSTAND why we are WHERE we are in this country!

it's NOT because Social Security and Medicaid sucked us dry!

just because you are not used to it and have never seen it without the spectre of "going broke" as a companion due to our quest for GLOBAL DOMINATION doesn't mean it can't be achieved!

Many prominent

Many prominent African-Americans have been saying this for a long time but all you hear on commercial media are radical Teabaggers, fringe quote "Black Leaders" whom hold no real clout in the black community, Zionist Warmongers, Neo-conservative Bible-belters, corporatist fascist and Limousine Liberals.

The Average Joe (man, women and child of all racial and cultural backgrounds) on the ground gets paid no mind. They will throw you a legislative bill here and there to temporally appease you and your social demographic but at the end of the day simple structural issues will not be addressed that could fix many of our socioeconomic problems because the public at large are a bunch of low information, short attention span, judgmental hypocrites. Few individuals in politics possess honest and transparent conviction without ideological, social, cultural or racial bias which prevents them from bringing people of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds together to politically combat these entrenched good old boys cults.

Ron Paul was an anomaly sadly his offspring does not subscribe to his fathers honest and transparent conviction. He may strongly subscribe to his fathers ideology and may in the end achieve his goal of becoming president of the united states but that personal achievement will be irreverent without loyal troops that subscribe to your ideology in positions of power throughout the government to faithfully implement that said policy without the need for kickbacks and gifts.

Brief flash of greatness

Dr. West's brief 3 minute speech is a short flash of brilliance in a discussion that is otherwise a glorification of the potential of big government to care for all.

Dr. West also lets slip a glimpse of an underlying yearning for the soft chains of benevolent government - "Government can be affirmative if they are helping poor and working people"

That's okay, we will take what we can get for now. Eventually they will learn that a government that has the power to provide everything, also has the power to take everything away.

ecorob's picture

What's wrong with that? And this is my point...

If we would STOP THE WARS and IMPERIALISM we could take care of, or help, everyone in this country who truly needs it and we would NEVER even bat an eye at the expense.

I'll stop right there and let the remainder of your argument be left alone as it would become moot, a non-issue.

The stealing of our treasure has rendered this once great Nation to be a helpless, hapless, rudderless ship casting ever so close to the rocks of an unforgiving shore which we are BOUND to crash and smash into.

STOP THE WARS! RETURN THIS NATION'S TREATURE!

Let the healing begin.

Congresses created a monster that has driven the US to bankruptcy 3 times or more. The Federal Reserve creates poverty and destroys the middle class.

Government can not love, can not ask for forgiveness. The best we can expect is for government officials to follow the Constitution.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution

Liberty is the only general welfare. Liberty promotes prosperity.

Government has never done anyone any good only harm.

He calls out Gingrich and the Black Congressional Caucus Leader!

In that last statement he jokes of them both being OWNED by the same corporate interests.

In first segment he is totally disgusted by Obama using Dr. Kings bible to be sworn in, says he has not lived up to it in his first term with great detail of Obama's warmongering in direct opposition to Dr. Kings principles.

Yes, he does, AnAppeal...

I am thankful that you and many other people here see this as a positive.

Those that can't see the good in this discussion, I guess, I just don't understand.

At the very least, common ground was staked out, imho. One who would completely discard this discussion is coming from, perhaps, a cynical soul.

It would be a sad indictment upon your part of our society to say you are above this discussion.

"In that last statement he jokes of them both being OWNED by the same corporate interests." What does that have to do with: "Black Leaders tired of obama's lies"

"In first segment he is totally disgusted by Obama using Dr. Kings bible to be sworn in" and then he said he was still glad Obama was elected and reelected...
