Anarcho-capitalism and the libertarian enlightenment

If you extrapolate the liberal philosophy, you end up with a one world communist government. On the other side, if you extrapolate the libertarian philosophy, you end up with anarcho-capitalism.

Anarcho-capitalism exists in a stateless society where the individual governs ones own life and property, and the members of the society understand and respect the principle of non-aggression.

Therefore, I ask, even if you don't subscribe to anarcho-capitalism, have you been able to extrapolate your philosophy to that level? Is getting to that level of understanding a benchmark? Does getting to that understanding cause you to retract and decide that republicanism, in the historical sense, sounds like a better idea?
