All Hostages Dead In Algeria

ALGIERS, Algeria (AP) -- In a bloody finale, Algerian special forces stormed a natural gas complex in the Sahara desert on Saturday to end a standoff with Islamist extremists that left at least 23 hostages dead and killed all 32 militants involved, the Algerian government said.

With few details emerging from the remote site in eastern Algeria, it was unclear whether anyone was rescued in the final operation, but the number of hostages killed on Saturday - seven - was how many the militants had said that morning they still had. The government described the toll as provisional and some foreigners remain unaccounted for.

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

Its about Mali

It was just reported that this hostage situation was the Africans trying to get leverage to make the French and US stop bombing Mali, the country to it's west. I'm thinking they didn't intend to kill them, just negotiate for a cease fire in Mali.

The one American from TX apparently died of a heart attack.

RP R3VOLution

I bet they still make a movie out of it.

oh wait was it a tragedy? okay well then they'll make a documentary.

no matter what theyre still in the money.

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Overall a Success imo

All hostage takers were eliminated. They will never again be involved again in something so dastardly.

Hopefully they will think twice about another such cowardly act.

Those hostages were all heroes. They should all get posthumous awards and their families should get massive tax breaks and free flights for life amongst other things.

Algerian special forces are to also be congratulated and recognized.

None of this would be happening if

we had stayed out of the Libyan civil war, had encouraged our European friends to do the same, and they had listened to us. If Ghadaffi were still in power, his Tuareg troops would have never joined up with al Qaida in Mali, France (with U.S. approval and support) wouldn't be meddling in Mali, thereby giving this Algerian branch of al Qaida a reason to take Western hostages.

militants should have armed

militants should have armed their hostages with guns

Well good for them.

Now we HAVE to send the military in to get the gold. I mean "Islamist extremists." ;)

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

Apparently we had a drone in the area

Is it coincidence that innocent Americans are now dead? I guess we'll have to wait to hear the mainstream media's account of what happened, then wait patiently to hear the truth from other sources.
