Media blacks out 1 million people marching in France against homosexual adoptions

This is reminiscent of the black-out against Dr. Paul. Any news contrary to party line are censored. This is a 1 million people march. That is a lot of free people marching against an imposition by their government. To put this in context MLK's biggest march gathered around 300,000 people. Both marchs are historic and important events.

Interesting cunundrum

A large collection of bigots (probably 1/2 Muslim) - does it require the same coverage as other demonstrations? That's a good question. There are many KKK rallies that aren't covered by the media, is it the same bias? Does the idea of public good apply?

Lots of questions. But, associating our movement, Ron Paul, with a collectivist movement to restrict rights, will probably not get a good response here.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

"a large collection of bigots

"a large collection of bigots (probably 1/2) Muslim". This is a false an prejudiced statement. So from your point of view Muslims are bigots.

France is a very secular country. There were lots of atheists, agnostics, Jews, Catholics, Protestants, actually Muslims were in the minority.

Not all collectivists movements are in itself bad per definition. War protests, MLK civil rights movements, and this movement are part of a conscious and liberty exercising movement.

When discussing you have to use truth and common sense. Your points could be valid and you could prove people wrong. However you are using false premises to discuss. For example:
a. Muslims are bigots. Not true.
b. You are assuming that this was a mostly Muslim march. Not true.
c. KKK marches are not covered. Please, this is a 1 MILLION people march. KKK would not gather more than 50 people. Besides, there were people of all colors in this march, it was truly multicultural.

Let's use more facts on discussions.

I do not agree with what those people are marching for

But I disagree with media bias even more.

The first tool media outlets can utilize to spoonfeed their agenda is Gatekeeping Bias, the means by which they choose to either report on or ignore important stories.

Unfortunately, you can find this story on practically any news outlet right now, so we can't accuse an outlet like CNN of not reporting on it at all.

Additionally I upvoted you anyway, because it is an important story. I think gay marriage is an issue that deserves an honest discussion among DP visitors and supporters, and liberty-minded individuals in general. It seems to be one of a few great dividers we individuals still fail to agree on, and perhaps coming to a mutual understanding could strengthen this freedom movement as a whole.

Balanced comment. Thanks.
