Peaceful Civil Disobedience

"I strongly believe in the principle of peaceful civil disobedience. It is one way that the impulse of liberty checks the powerful." - Ron Paul Liberty Defined

You do what you choose and so will I. However, may I remind...

you that, shortly after the a veteran got his skull fractured by a "police projectile" fired directly into the crowd, the Arizona border militia showed up at an Occupy Phoenix protest, carrying loaded AR-15s, safeties off, and stood facing the police and with their backs to the protestors. Nobody was hurt.

In this day and time you can be a defender of liberty or a victim of tyranny. There are no other options.

I understand what your saying

I just don't want this thread to be misconstrued as a call to violence. I oppose the initiation of force to achieve an economic or political goal and I believe in non-aggression. Violence is not a choice but an act of desperation when threatened with a clear and present danger.

Occupy

You should occupy a delegate seat at the next convention. Being a liberty delegate certainly feels like civil disobedience when you are up against the neo-cons.

The founders would be ashamed at us for what we are putting up with.

I'll do my best to make that happen

Precinct captain is the goal right now. Looking forward to 2014 and hoping that I get to represent candidates that I won't regret campaigning/voting for.

However, loyalty is important in the game we call politics so in the words of Rand Paul "I'll support the nominee".

Claim more than 5 dependents on your W-4...

Even if you decide to file when tax time comes, the government will have paid the inflation tax rather than you.

Say what?

I definitely don't have 5 dependents. This just sounds like tax fraud. I'm scared of messing with the IRS to be honest but I would like to keep the fruits of my labor.

Tell me more

My bad. A quick search says that a $500 fine can be levied...

for claiming extra allowances.

It's not against the law unless you don't properly file...

at tax time. To my understanding, you can claim as many dependents as you wish on your W-4.

Maybe a tax professional can comment further.
