Are we fading? Not much mention about MLK moneybomb
Not much mention about the MLK moneybomb. Are you donating? Only 9000 people registered. I hope we don't fizz on this one. It would be all the fuel the media needs to ram it home. Can you imagine the twists and spins that will be put on this if it doesn't do well? Especially after the media's attempted pump on the bogus, inaccurate, racism issue. We can not afford to fail on this one people because of donation fatigue, and I sure hope all of us are aware of that. I've got a bad feeling about this one, I sure hope you can help me get rid of it. I just haven't seen much mention of it here. No hype.
EDIT: I do have faith in it being ok.
I guess my concern is more or less not doing as well as the last one. You can be sure the media will no doubt spin it with "their opinion" why it didn't do as well. And we all know that will be very ugly. It is imperative we surpass the last bomb.

The MSM, old media, whatever you want to call them have completely blacked out Ron Paul for coming up on 2 weeks now. Period. Not a single mention, not a single anything. Even IF the MLK donations don't add up to anything significant, I don't think it will be news--to anybody. They placated RP up to the point where caucuses and primaries started--when he didn't do as he wanted and they could "spin" it that "the polls matched his results" then that was the end of the story. Blackout. Even if we "only" pull in $1M on Monday, they aren't going to announce that because it would say "Hey, here's Ron Paul still chugging away bring in millions." For all intents and purposes they have erased him from the campaign and the sheep that follow them will have fully "bought it" by now. So, why even mention his name? They are far, far more powerful in their suppression by keeping the blackout on than to mention his supporters "only" raised a "few million" ....

Nearly everybody here is a Ron Paul supporter and will be donating. So instead of posting this stuff here, you need to go let others know about it. Make sure it is announced to all meetup members, contact your organizer for your meetup if it is not on the calendar and go spread the word. You are preaching to the choir here.

Call Katherine Albrecht's show (on now 10:30 am et) then Alex Jones' show on at 12pm et etc..............these guys have helped with the others but haven't heard much from them ........call every patriot show you can think of.
It is a matter of lost CONFIDENCE
Much like the price of a stock. Or the valuation of a fiat currency.
It means that a significant number of supporters on an individual basis have lost confidence in the leadership of the organization; and others, while they may not have wholly lost confidence, have ceased to "push" its stock as willingly and emphatically as they once might have, because of similar misgivings.
While overall donations are down, this actually has two causes, only one of which is people closing their wallets -- and the other is supporters "shifting" their donations froms the campaign to various "penny stock" grassroots projects signaling that they are "hedging" their bets by diversifying their investments.
In short, people are putting their eggs in OTHER baskets.
Lost Confidence
The way Michigan was handled, I'm starting to think the national campaign is being run by the gang that couldn't shoot straight. We had a wonderful opportunity here, and instead of putting ads on TV to push Dr. Paul's anti NAFTA, CAFTA, WTO message, we got nothing. I'd really like to know where the money is going.
Are you people in the other primary states seeing ads???
In short, people are putting their eggs in OTHER baskets.
I think RP got a great warchest and we should be proud of that; now it's "boots on the ground."

The Money Bomb thing has gotten a little passe, and many people are either tired or tapped out. And yet, there are newcomers every day who are excited and who have money.
I think the 21st might be a good day for fund-raising. Maybe not as good as the Tea Party, but it will still help.
I think the Money Bomb Week was a bit too broad. A money bomb hour would be more fun I think.

Almost 10k subscribers
November 11th had 2k, Rudy's Reading List had just over 2k.
I think with 10k subscribers this may end up being Ron Paul's 3rd best day in fund raising. I think we're going to get at least 1mil (and I'm conservative on my guesses, the last two money bombs I guessed 3.5mil).
I'd like to see the media say "Ron Paul only raised 1 Million dollars on MLK jr. day" and be critical of him. I'd also like to see Paul respond in saying it IS his 3rd best day and still more money raised than most candidates in a single day.
Don't sweat too much
Though I'm sure there have been thin-skinned supporters who have been demoralized (mostly younger folks and first-timers) with how the game is played that have quit donating or even left, the vast majority of us are still here faithfully.
If you'll remember, the last big money bombs turned out to be bigger than expected. There wasn't a huge amount of signups then either, but people rose to the occasion- be it conviction, conscience or just plain fed up with things.
Have a little faith in us supporters- we'll know what to do. Despite us being diverse in thought and constantly in-fighting amongst ourselves, we all have a common goal. Just keep spreading the word about the event the best you can, and try to get people on board. This one kind of came at short notice when our man gave the word, and a lot haven't been able to replenish their funds, but they'll help out the cause.
A lot of us are tapped out, a lot are maxed out already, and some are just patiently waiting. With everyone in the facets of the camp asking for donations for everything, it's no wonder some are tapped out financially. Just gotta have faith on this one; people know what's at stake.
