A List of Great Political Punk Rock Songs. Please Help Make It Lengthy.
Submitted by father_abraham85 on Sun, 01/20/2013 - 15:09This Post was created to compile a list of Reverent Punk Rock Songs that touch a nerve in our movement. It can be used as a source for others to do whatever. Play at parties, concerts, protests, online videos, those who work at college radio stations, on and on and on. For This Revolution to survive and thrive there must be Music.
Ron Paul once Said:
"My theory...if you ever can bring about revolutionary changes two things will be required; young people will have to be involved and you will have to have music."
(Source: "For Liberty: How the Ron Paul R3volution Watered the Withered Tree of Liberty" c. 2009)(mm47:50)
If your considering on making posts of Liberty or Revolutionary Music under other genres, provide a link below to that post and I will add it here at the top. Linking your post with this and via-versa will increase chances of being viewed and spreading. Too much good material is being lost in the dissidence. Maybe one day we can can force a forum on the Daily Paul devoted to music.

Bodies was considered punk-Catholic pro-life back in the day.
Dropkick Murphys' cover of Green Fields of France, or an original, Far Away Coast.
Rise Against does a great
Rise Against does a great cover of Neil Young's "Ohio". Saw them play it live several years ago in Denver. Awesome.
I'm reaching up and reaching out.
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Spiral out.

ANTI-FLAG: The Press Corpse
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erLh6yoBnO0
The {Downing Street} memo says...
...We gotta work to make the facts fit the false charges
Pull the wool over the eyes of the filthy masses
Stab the people in the back for the corporate choice
Roll the propaganda out using The People's Voice
We don't want to talk about it...
The press scribble scribble every half-truth spoke
Then shoot it round the country like an April Fools joke
Hype the nation for a Desert Storm love affair
Wave the stars and stripes like you just don't care!
They talk it up all day, they talk it up all night
They talk until their face turns blue - Red white and blue!
But when the truth escapes the night and crawls into the day
We find the picture still askew
They don't want to... talk talk talk talk talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and mindlessly salute
They don't want to talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and cowardly salute
And on the TV screen...
...Diversion and aversion is the flavor of the day
Was it WMDs? Or Democracy?
Blame it on MI-6 or the CIA
The White House Press Corpse only has one thing to say...
"We don't want to talk about it!"
The White House boils over, "Al Jazeera got it wrong!"
The Press Corpse jumps onboard singing the White House song
While over in Iraq thousands are dead because of lies
The spineless war drumming-press corpse have taken lives
They talk it up all day, they talk it up all night
They talk until their face turns blue - Red white and blue!
But when the truth escapes the night and crawls into the day
We find the picture still askew
They don't want to... talk talk talk talk talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and mindlessly salute
They don't want to talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and cowardly salute
Fires fueled on endless lies
Black shrouds coat desert skies
A nation's viewpoint blurred and led
As embeds report what they're fed
We don't want to talk about it...
We don't want to talk about it...
We don't want to talk about it...
We don't want to talk about it...
(We don't want to talk about it...)
We don't, don't want to, we don't wanna talk about it
(We don't want to...)
We don't, don't want to, we don't wanna talk
They don't want to... talk talk talk talk talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and cowardly salute
They don't want to talk about it
They wanna tiptoe, walk around it
Wave the flag and cowardly salute

The Minutemen
"Just Another Soldier"
All the 300 dead
We still got pride
We lost all our morals
We still got pride
Same a story told
Nothing left to hide
It all comes down
We got pride
Should we fight this war
To bark harder at the globe
Learn how to die
Some of just hide
This is our future
Ashes all remain
It's all the same
We got pride
How much pride
Does it take soldier guy
His life was so short
No chance to start
The ones he left behind
The world he'll never see
No one could deny
That the soldier died of pride
*****************************
or "Toadies"
Number seven
On the chump list
Playing stooge
Eatin shit
Toadies
Toadies
Using that
As a reason
For kicking shit
All the dumb fucks
Toadies
Toadies
We are cuss words
Nearly illiterate
Dedicated
To fighting toadies
Toadies
Toadies
Toadies

or "Aint No Picnic"
Working on the edge
Losing my self-respect
For a man who presides over me
The principles of his creed
Punch in, punch out
Eight hours, five days
Sweat, pain and agony
On Friday I'll get paid
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
Hey mister don't look down on me
For what I believe
I got my bills and the rent
I should be content
But our land isn't free
So I'll work my youth away
In the place of a machine
I refuse to be a slave
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
This ain't no picnic
I'd rather have a bottle in front o' me than a frontal lobotomy
