Stirring words from Les Miserables

I just saw Les Miserables, the movie. I spent two and a half hours choking back overwhelming emotions. This song hit me particualarly hard:

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echos the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

The refrain is heard several times during the movie...it is deeply bittersweet.
