The "Next Leader Of Our Movement"?

I have recently seen around here some comments openly saying that Alex Jones is the next leader of our movement.

Now I know he may say some good stuff and he is against big government but... after watching this video I want you to ask yourself if you want this man to represent the next Ron Paul, or the next leader of this movement?

There is no leader, it is about the idea, we don't need leaders anymore, we tried it and the result has been our erosion of our freedoms

Really? How perfectly collectivist!

And there are so many to chose from. Only one can be THE next? Well I guess we'll have to have a vote or something. Are we going majority rules? Or are we casting lots? Trial by combat? Consult an oracle?

How about the Next Great Leader not be an old recycled one?

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Those who are very eager to become leaders are dangerous

Those who have an ability to refuse like George Washington are true human beings, it is a rare virtue

I would rather someone listen to Alex Jones and TRY and dispute

anything he says versus them listen to anyone who is quick to compromise politically.

Alex is a personality and an individual. If he went into political office then we would have to look at his voting track record. I don't see that so NO I don't see a radio host being my "leader" for anything nor any politician either for that matter.

I am done with the federal level voting. I don't see why we think electing congress, senate and presidents could ever work for supposed free and independent states.

We should have state rights and laws and leave it at that. A limited federal government will ALWAYS try and expand towards tyranny so why have one? To protect us? great job, to make sure that we are not being used as slaves? yup, yet another a+ on that as well.

I say all states have a PRESIDENT ( Governor ) and each state have its own ability to protect its own borders. If another state "attacks" you can defend yourself no matter if that state is next to you or across the pond.

All taxes would be done at the state level and then within the cities themselves. It would be easier to vote on things because all the voting would be about LOCAL ISSUES and not about other cities, towns or states.

If you don't like the way your city votes, try and change the vote OR move to a city that lives the way you want to. If all the cities within a state vote or live in a way you do not want to then move to another state and check out their cities.

It would be great to have so many different cultures and town laws and everything dealt with locally. Yes I can see fraud and possible local tyranny but it will be far more localized and easier to fight than a federal and global tyrannical force.

Our "movement" doesn't account for

1% of the U.S. population. We've got a looooooong way to go before Ron Paulers can be classified as belonging to a "movement."

you and I

are the next leaders of the movement dont look to others, look in mirror.Listen to all follow none.

Rand Paul Other than the

Rand Paul

Other than the sanctions, I agree with him on everything so far.

As for Alex Jones, I am a listener. However, just because I am a listener doesn't mean I agree with everything he says. He puts out some great information; however, he sometimes stretches things and puts words into peoples mouths. Also, he has some conspiracy theories I don't agree entirely with (some he is spot on though). He has a role in the movement, and he does it well. At least from my perspective, I feel like he is great at waking people up to the atrocities of the government. He is good at activating activists.

Alex Jones has his place but

my vote goes to Rand and Judge Nap.

Lysander Spooner, Bastiat, Hazlitt, Rothbard

Alex Jones...

has adamantly and rudely refused to lead any thing or anybody except his own media operations and employees. Apparently Alex just isn't interested. :)

BTW, that video only makes me like Alex more! :D

People need to stop being timid wimps whimpering, "there's nothing we can do about it. :( " as they go back to watching tv and primping in the mirror and ignoring the death and desolation our Govt is bringing to the world and soon to us.

Americans used to be a noisy unruly bunch that went into raging insurrection over tiny taxes on whiskey and would show up at the town hall brandishing firearms and waving farm implements. We need to reclaim that spirit if there is to be any hope.

And now I leave you to the false sense of security and comfort you derive from hiding in your normalcy bias... :p

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

You are just trying to start stuff up.

Commonly known as a s#1t stirrer.

The next leader of the liberty movement is

YOU! Look in the mirror. Every individual should be their own leader. We don't need to be a collective. Even the next presidential candidate who represents us might not be the "leader" of the movement. If the Judge, or Rand run, I'll support either of them. Some won't. That's each individuals choice to make. The whole point is that we don't need a centralized leader if each of us is a grass roots leader. Start from the bottom up, because putting all of your eggs in 1 top down basket just invites more disappointment after defeat.

LOL Ron is alive and Well my friends

Just cause he holds no office or will no longer run for office doesn't mean he won't be leading.

Give him 4-6 months you will see!

Ron Paul IS alive and well :-)

phathead, you are wise and true, and I whole-heartedly agree.

Had you not written that, I would have ;-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

You already know it's Rand.

You already know it's Rand. Why bother asking? He's the most logical choice. He's close to our views and for some reason the neocons love him. He'll win and it will make a much bigger difference than all this shit for the last 80 years.

I Wasn't Asking...

... everyone here knows it's Rand. But their are people here who have been trying to say that they want Alex Jones as the next leader of our movement (or the next Ron Paul). If you don't believe me just read the posts from a few weeks ago. There were people saying he is our next leader.

Movements get co-opted.

The next leaders of our movement are you and me.

Who said anything about Alex Jones being the next leader?

He is a voice, not a leader. He is a voice that has some good (and loud) stuff to say.

Loved the video, it had me cracking up.

There will be no one designated leader. Ron Paul is the only who could unify so many people.

... I agree with you. Yet if you go on some of the posts last week when he debated Piers Morgan their were people saying he was the next leader of our movement.

People say...

all kinds of things.

The majority of people who listen to Alex Jones think he's just a guy with a radio show.
