Rand Paul Doesn't Have A Chance In 2016

At least not yet.

How are WE going to get ahead of the curve in each state in order to make sure every single Rand Paul vote is counted during the 2016 primary/caucus season?

How are WE going to make sure our votes aren't stolen by The Machine?

Every state needs to devise their own plans, but for the Love of God DON'T post your plans online!

E-mail conversations discussing strategy? NO!

Cellphone conversations discussing strategy? NO!

Posting to the Daily Paul talking about the latest strategy? No, no and no!

Texting? Might as well give the enemy our game plan.

"Are you serious?" Yes.

Do you really want to win? I do. So why discuss the Liberty Movement's actual plans over a bugged device like I'm doing now?

It's very early. Time is on our side for now, but those who matter most to the Liberty Movement MUST soon go UNDERGROUND to discuss the most important vital topics.

STOP talking on your cellphones about pertinent, sensitive information folks...we MUST act as if every single conversation and web posting is being recorded by the devil himself.

Seriously, as if we all already don't know how almost everything we do is tracked and traced, including this post.

So what's the solution? Pens, papers, stamps, FedEx, UPS, quiet conversations in areas where you know your television or an iphone can't listen to you, etc.

It's 2013, and those in positions of "power," within the Liberty Movement need to go off the grid, and on to the simplicity of pen and paper. The less we say, the more they don't know.

Written letters are hard to track and trace, just like cash.

Use "cash," to dethrone the king.

Rand "Paul," Revere's Pony Express.

Run for office.

It's not only about the presidency, it's all about getting the right people into both houses of congress. Congress can overrule the president and judicial branches of government with enough votes. It is the legislative branch which makes the laws.

maybe you missed ron paul

on leno when he said he would be preparing for 2016.
by then the country will be such a mess that all parties will gather around the 80 year old heroic figure
and take back the republic in a landslide against hillary.
rand? pffft. if he's a good boy he will be allowed to campaign for his father after an apology to the liberty movement who will lead the charge.

Rand Paul has a solid chance in 2016

I am relatively new to DP... I was naive in my thinking that the primary process would actually yield the best presidential candidate for 2012 (Cain was my guy)... Watching what happened during the primaries and the weak-ass campaign Romney ran (as well as the douchebag PACs take money with no accountability (Rove being the top s-bag), it became obvious to me that the system is absolutely rigged against the grassroots. I think it scares the establishment when it looks like other people will start playing in their sandbox.
If I had to classify myself, it would be a disaffected conservative libertarian... (fundy's make me nervous)... and I am guilty of denigrating "Paulbots"... until I did my research.
What I did notice after the Preezy won reelection is the GOP "base" fell apart.. no talk of principles, just who is to blame and what strategies need to change (to make themselves like the Demokrats)... Utter BS.
A lot of 'neocons'... (whatever that means) I know, liked Ron Paul, but didn't like his foreign policy... but I also think that it hasn't been explained in a way that gets people to think critically about it either... (I feel that while there is some merit to the "blowback" argument, it is too simplistic in that there are a variety of other reasons as well)... I also think RP's age was a factor as well.
My point is that I never felt more askew than trying to twist myself into knots defending Romney... (more of a Demokrat in a RINO suit).. I decided that no more, I'll be voting my conscience from now on, party be damned.
At this point, Rand it the only one in the GOP right now worth of my vote for 2016. If he fails to win the nomination, Gary Johnson will be receiving my vote if he chooses to run again.
I realize that Rand does not have the endorsement of some of the members here based on how 2012 went, but I ask you to consider this: Does the apple really fall that far from the tree? Is it possible that he is taking steps to retain the base so the numbers are there in 2016?
I think he is doing two things... 1 - settling on a half-way point between Ron Paul and Herman Cain... if he moves toward liberty ideals after election, only the statists will oppose him, we can drag the fundy's kicking and screaming. 2 - Being outspoken now to show (will comment on relevant Rubio thread later)... that he has a set of nuts.
The neocons are noticing him... it's going to take 4 years to help the neocons (again... not really sure what they are, but assuming the evanglical base at this point) hone their message so that they don't sound like bible thumpers...

Neoconservatives....

Neoconservatism is considered to have started with Leo Strauss at the University of Chicago in the 1950's.

Strauss believed the aim of government should be to encourage "human excellence" (social engineering) and that individual freedom got in the way of those goals. He believed that the government should use "noble lies" and myths as propaganda in order to shepherd the people to "excellence" and to strengthen the government.

Strauss was an admirer of Leon Trotsky and his "world democratic revolution"(spreading democracy militarily) and the platonic idea that the government's need for land and resources in order to maintain a cohesive power should trump that of private property and inheritance.

The next major figure is Irving Kristol, the "godfather of neoconservatism" and the father of Fox News talking head Bill Kristol.

Irving believed in big government and that deficit spending is good and necessary (Rove's "deficits don't matter").

Irving and the other students of Strauss left the democratic party in the 1970's and set up shop in the Republican party. Reagan hated them.

Following are some quotes from an article wrote in 2003 entitled "The Neoconservative Persuasion"
http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/00...

"one can say that the historical task and political purpose of neoconservatism would seem to be this: to convert the Republican party, and American conservatism in general, against their respective wills, into a new kind of conservative politics suitable to governing a modern democracy. "

Neoconservatives aren't fans of the Old Right conservatism that Reagan portrayed in his speeches of small govt, non-interventionism and staying out of your lives. They think it is old-fashioned and unworkable.

"Neocons would prefer not to have large budget deficits, but it is in the nature of democracy--because it seems to be in the nature of human nature--that political demagogy will frequently result in economic recklessness, so that one sometimes must shoulder budgetary deficits as the cost (temporary, one hopes) of pursuing economic growth."

Neoconservatives are Keynesian after a bit of whining first...

"Neocons do not like the concentration of services in the welfare state and are happy to study alternative ways of delivering these services. But they are impatient with the Hayekian notion that we are on "the road to serfdom." Neocons do not feel that kind of alarm or anxiety about the growth of the state in the past century, seeing it as natural, indeed inevitable."

Neoconservatives are pro-welfare state after a bit of whining first...

"People have always preferred strong government to weak government."

Well, a lot of us really don't. :)

"Neocons feel at home in today's America to a degree that more traditional conservatives do not. Though they find much to be critical about, they tend to seek intellectual guidance in the democratic wisdom of Tocqueville, rather than in the Tory nostalgia of, say, Russell Kirk."

Traditional conservatives such as Hayek and Kirk suck...

"The steady decline in our democratic culture, sinking to new levels of vulgarity, does unite neocons with traditional conservatives--though not with those libertarian conservatives who are conservative in economics but unmindful of the culture. The upshot is a quite unexpected alliance between neocons, who include a fair proportion of secular intellectuals, and religious traditionalists."

Neoconservatives like to be "mindful" of culture. This has to do with "noble lies" and "noble myths" to unite society behind the govt. Plato, Machiavelli, etc.. They dislike libertarians.

"patriotism is a natural and healthy sentiment and should be encouraged by both private and public institutions."

They like government propaganda to further "myths" that create cohesion between their big govt and society.

"Finally, for a great power, the "national interest" is not a geographical term, except for fairly prosaic matters like trade and environmental regulation. A smaller nation might appropriately feel that its national interest begins and ends at its borders, so that its foreign policy is almost always in a defensive mode."

Neocons like meddling in other countries affairs, well.. because we are just so damn great!

"Barring extraordinary events, the United States will always feel obliged to defend, if possible, a democratic nation under attack from nondemocratic forces, external or internal.... That is why we feel it necessary to defend Israel today."

Neocons not only see it as our duty to defend other democratic nations from external attacks... but INTERNAL also (regime change).

The rest of the article is about how we are so powerful it is our duty to run and control the world. And:

"The older, traditional elements in the Republican party have difficulty coming to terms with this new reality in foreign affairs, just as they cannot reconcile economic conservatism with social and cultural conservatism."

I.E. - the old conservatism is stupid. The cool new shiny conservatives recognize the need for big govt, big govt spending, global military adventurism and global dominance, and to meddle in the social and cultural life of the citizenry to unite them behind the govt.

In other words, neoconservatives are fascists... :)

Ron Paul the Great

was a good man but he wasn't adept with politics like Rand is. Rand is carrying the torch now and he's got the nozzle up full blast. He's gonna rock and roll with these bistards and play their game. He's what the liberty movement needs. He's got his dad's gentlemanly ways, but don't cross him. Rand is no fool. He was a diplomat with Hillary today. He complimented her for appearing ALONE at the hearing and taking responsibility for Bengazi...but he lit his torch and blasted her with truth. Way to go Rand. Rand Paul 2016

This was excellent advice on NOT blasting our strategies of the next 4 years. This is all I'm gonna say online about this, BUT count me in.

Keepin' it real.

It is an entire generation

It is an entire generation that will bring about Liberty, Freedom and power to We The People. It is not a president alone. Local/state is very important, but most crucial is changing the hearts and minds of ordinary people. We must continue to spread the message of Liberty, Freedom, to ALL.

Do not get sidetracked from this.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Rand's move towards Zionism

is a huge negative for gaining my support. He should have never gone to Israel, and stated his focus is the protection of the American Republic first, second, and last, period! He now says he will support new multi-billion dollar missle defense for Israel, but has refused to make a strong stance on closing our borders and the need to build our own defenses, that have been severely neglected to fight the Zionist Bankers contrived wars. Anybody who does any indebt research on the invention of Zionism, will find it is a Rothschild creation built by the same conspirators who created the Fed. It was Samuel Uttermeyer who found the criminal Cyrus Scofield to create the Apostate reference call the Scofield Reference Bible, where the Zionism hoax has transformed. Uttermeyer also wrote the laws for the creation of the Fed. Zionism is the biggest threat to return to a Constitutional Republic, as those who would join the fight have been lured into a statist mindset by their Judas ministry to believe the government can legislate all the ills effecting our culture. This while they focus on military interventions to protect their poor little Idoltry called Israel. It is imperative that if you know any of the lost sheep supporting the blasphemous teachings of Zionism to watch this video. Tell them their soul depends on their watching. http://vimeo.com/29901084
Also, if you want to learn about the Criminal Scofield who with other conspirator help created the Zionism hoax, here's a good overview. http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/hoax/scofield.htm

Who said he's moving "toward Zionism"?

Only you and some kooks.

What ****ing nonsense.

Explain...

why Bill Kristol and Netanyahu and other assorted zionists are suddenly praising Rand.

You fully know why. You are just feigning ignorance. And you are pretending to not be aware of the openly discussed "secret" plan here on Daily Paul and other places for Rand to act like he is a friend to zionism then upon election rip of his suit revealing his Libertarian Man superhero outfit. The bait-and-switch coup!

I know you're not a stupid guy. Your deception is showing.

The problem is that a majority of Ron Paul supporters will NOT go along with such deviousness. And it certainly won't win any hearts and minds.

And at the end of the day Rand just might not be pretending and the joke will be on YOU...

.
~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

Wake up,

Never vote Dems or Repub. When 5, 10, 15% of the public votes third party then we are awake and the tyrany is over. Any third party. Don't play the NWO game. They want you to have the illusion of choice. Reject the premise. That will send a way bigger message than voting for Rand for President.

Rand need to define himself better

He also needs to work on public speaking. His dad is far better at interviews, speaking from the heart, and speaking passionately - engaging the listener.

He's not even close to ready yet.

He speaks in such a monotone, it's like elevator music - puts you to sleep!

Rand used to give...

excellent interviews and speeches. Before he decided to cozy up to Israel. Either he is lying about his real positions on zionism... or maybe he's not.

Either way stinks...

~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

I think his voice is a cross between JFK and his dad

call that what you will.

Rand Paul Still Sucks

Most of the Ron Paul Voters I know have given up on the system and hunkered down to fight the upcoming civil war. To Hell with Rand Paul.

The only way Rand will win... is if you do some things first.

Here are two things you can do on your own:

  • Get involved in your local Republican party and start organizing with others in your state. Build e-mail, phone, and mailing lists of "tea party" types as well as "liberty" activists. Do it now and you will soon have several thousand people organized and ready to go to your state convention and take over the state party. Keep the lists separate by district or county and don't give one person access to the entire list. Compartmentalize your data and it will be difficult to co-opt.
  • Start putting aside $50 every month. When Rand (or some other liberty candidate) announces that they're running for President then donate ALL of that money that day. Romney had a huge advantage because he started out the 2012 primary season with over $30 million. He got that from a large group of people who almost all gave $2,300 each. ... 36 months times $50/month is $1,800. If 10,000 supporters in the US saved $50/month then our candidate would start the 2016 primary campaign out with $18,000,000 on day one. That would be a massive boost to their campaign.

Neither of those two suggestions are any secret. It's what is expected.

The organized and secret strategies are already happening off the record. Don't worry. Those of us who have been in this since before the 2008 run have learned a lot over the years.

Clairvoyance?

zooamerica,

You're welcome to criticise Rand Paul's shortcomings or sellouts--count me in agreement here--but how do you KNOW what Rand Paul's chances are more than three years from now?

Your tea leaves are just as wilted, and your crystal ball just as cracked as mine and everyone elses is!

I don't know if there will be anyone better to support (I hope so) and nobody here knows if this country's government will even exist in its current form by 2016. There are too many uncertainties to judge, and we may do better by working to grow in the short term, focusing on local, municipal, State, and (for 2014)Congressiona and Gubernatorial elections. This includes, of course, covering ourselves from neocon treachery within the GOP (or Libertarian Party) as well.

PEACE AND FREEDOM!!

"You're welcome to criticise

"You're welcome to criticise Rand Paul's shortcomings or sellouts--count me in agreement here--but how do you KNOW what Rand Paul's chances are more than three years from now?"

Have you seen what has happened to Ron Paul in the past 2 presidential elections? As if the establishment is going to treat Rand Paul any differently. They're not. The GOP is going to do their best to rig every primary and caucus election, as they thrust upon us the Bachmann's and Cain's of the political world to temporarily distract America.

WE have to devise a plan to make sure this does not happen, AGAIN.

Rand Paul is going to face the same enemies his father did. The technology to intercept our communications is only getting better.

I-phones are capable of recording every single spoken word around them....and I'm sure that data is literally sold to the highest bidders, and of course Uncle Sam wants to know everything about YOU!

Can the government purchase the recordings of every word you and your friends and family members have spoken around your I-spy device? Probably. Has anyone ever read the small legal print that comes with your I-spy phone? They're just as bad as joining Facebook..."stupid $8cks."

If we truly want an old school president, those in high positions of power must use old school tactics to communicate.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

There already is a plan.

It's the one Ron Paul has been asking us to do for EIGHT YEARS, but apparently you have either failed to learn or listen.

That is to BECOME A GOP PC OR COUNTY CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEMBER.

Quit posting the same thing over and over.

This is what RP asked us to do, so do it.

It *IS* what will cause us to actually WIN.

So DO it. It is already ONE YEAR into the 2016 cycle.

Rand Paul

I know a lot of regular republicans that are going to support Rand Paul...i will work as hard for Rand as I did for Ron. Please show me in Rand Paul's voting record how he is a statist...and who else has been the lone filibusterer in the senate?

RON PAUL 2008 Jazzloversinc

His dumb filibusters went well.

They're going to ban them now because of Rand. He's no Cato. His voting record is not much better than a neo-con's. Crippling sanctions on innocent Countries, foreign aid to his favorite yarmulke-clad State, and oversees menacing are unconstitutional and immoral. What happens after the rulers send their pawns into Iran to destroy into submission and it is 100% verified that they were not working on 'weapons of mass destruction'(notice how the beef is phrased a bit different this time?)? Will the Rand lovers finally start smelling Rand's poo's odor? I highly doubt it.

At your service. He has

At your service. He has voted for sanctions on Iran more than once. Voted for an earlier version of the NDAA. Voted for a no fly zone in Libya and most recently voted for more aid to Israel. The list of votes that Rand defenders must rationalize and explain away grows longer and longer.

He ran away from Luke of We

He ran away from Luke of We Are Change! Oh yeah, he voted for Iran to be sanctioned!

juan maldonado

I wondered...

...how we were going to win with Doug Wead spewing all our strategy on national tv.

RON PAUL 2008 Jazzloversinc

Yes, he sold out for nothing

He thinks the neocons are going to support him. He is naive. They will never trust him. They used him, are using him and will spit him out when they are done using him. As an anarcho-capitalist I could support Ron Paul since he wants to work incrementally toward anarcho-capitalism. I will never support Rand. He totally sucks. He is a statist asshat.

Will be interesting.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

I hope he doesn't have a

I hope he doesn't have a chance. His recent trip to Israel shows that he has totally sold out. Of course, he also failed to lift a finger to help his dad at the crucial state conventions. It would have been better for us had he never been elected to the Senate.

I hope I don't fall for "it" again.

Because the elections are rigged, we must irrevocably conclude that giving more than casual attention to presidential races is playing into the globalists' hands.

These "elections" and campaigns become a contrived distraction, just like college or pro sports consume millions of Americans' attention.

It is much more effective to focus on state elections and even better the elections and influencing of local sheriffs.

That is where I will focus my time, choosing not to get sucked into another campaign, that while fun, has about as much chance at winning as Ron Paul has at not getting blacked out by the media.
