I just emailed it

to a Florida gun rights group hoping for local action.

Not surprised - this is the same Sheriff's Office involved in

the roadside strip search of a woman:
Leila Tarantino filed a lawsuit on Aug. 3 in U.S. District Court in Florida's Ocala County against the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. She alleges she was not only frisked but that a female officer removed her tampon during a roadside search on July 17.

I understand the deputy's feelings,...

as anyone stopped and failed to notify the deputy he is carrying a weapon deserves a good scolding. However, the Deputy went WAY too far

Somebody AIN'T making the constitutional sheriff's list.

Reality Check

Most cops support gun control and HATE the very idea of armed citizens. Some will use every opportunity given to them to make life difficult for those legally armed. Just assume any cop you deal with feels this way and act accordingly.
NEVER get out of your car when stopped by police unless they tell you to.
Tell them you have a permit to carry a firearm before you say the words "I'm carrying a gun". (If you say those words first it's possible they may be your last).
This guy made some mistakes but nothing illegal as far as I can see. He may even be vindicated in court and have all charges dropped, but he still loses because he unwittingly got himself drawn into the time and money sucking justice system trap.

What a useless pos officer.

What a useless pos officer.

I liked the part where the pyscho officer told the completely compliant individual that he'd "shoot him the back" if he moved. Pigs shooting people in the back now? What garbage. Will anything happen to this useless costumed criminal with a badge? I doubt it.

Oh yea and be sure to pay your registration promptly to support these asshats.

He's supposed to tell him he

He's supposed to tell the officer he has a gun on him.

From my experience the officer

was suppose to ask if he had any weapons. Most likely what happened is that when the guy got out of his van it put the officer on defense and then he freaked when he saw the gun and showed he himself is a loaded gun waiting to go off rather than the guy he just stopped.

Can you cite

the law for your claim?

No law, just out of decency

No law, just out of decency he should've told him that he was carrying a gun on his person.

Decency? The LEO stripped

Decency? The LEO stripped him of his dignity by making him lay on the ground. This was uncalled for, it was obvious this man was not planning on an attack. There are stories of where concealed carriers came to the defense of LEO's under fire, if I was this guy, I would never use my weapon to defend any police after this incident.

Supposed to. No, well should. Heck, why not?

Let's just make things up to justify this fowl behaviour.
