It is idealistic and utopic. You cannot just put the word "libertarian" in front of the word "commune" and expect it to take care of the problem that is the word "commune."
These types of communities rely on groupthink mentality. Everyone must abide by certain practices and standards or it does not work.
To the Atlas Shrugged fan; I agree, it is a great book. However, even Ayn Rand's Galt's Gulch would not have worked for long. There was no competing currency or market structure. Lack of competition results in laziness, yes... even Dagny Taggart.

To look into his 'free zone' in Argentina. It sounds like there could be some real opportunity in the short term. Of course once it gets too successful the local govt will nationalize it and wonder why the area stopped producing.
