Two quotes in the article got my attention.

The first I agree with:
"If you talk about corruption, the entire world, then America, has no corruption? [It is] the most corrupt in the world," he said in a Dec. 13 broadcast on Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV.

This one is just retarded:
"I'm not sure if it's good to have freedom or not … I'm gradually beginning to feel that we Chinese need to be controlled. If we're not being controlled, we'll just do what we want."

In fact, the same week that he called America "the most corrupt," Chan told a Chinese magazine that Hong Kongers' right to protest should be limited, saying that "The authorities should stipulate what issues people can protest over and on what issues it is not allowed."

I know there might not be a lot Asian American in here. But if you are true peace makers stop the damn Asian bashing...I'm Asian American and I don't come around calling y'all beaniers and white trash, or hill Billies. It's that or Daily has a lot of Noecons.

And I care less of what Jackie Chan has to say. It's like asking an American Celebrity what he thinks about freedom. And the last i check most celebrities were either demo or rep. Plus Asia wasn't as lucky as America was. They were always under a king.

Bruce Lee would disown this student.

You sure looked convincing as you escaped to freedom.

To be fair, I don't know if he ever saw the need to escape from corrupt G-Men in his films.

China hasn't had much freedom as the central planners killed 100,000,000 to prove nothing could stop them.

In a free and open market, competition will balance greed with risk.

Then the Chinese could do what they want, but be rewarded only for satisfying customers.

There may be benefits to theft and fraud but the market tends to shun such operatives or worse.

Theft can only occur if their are property right for individuals.

Fraud can always occur, but free speech and a free press permits easier detection.

Common Jackie, don't sell the Chinese short, considering the last 64 years of control and manipulation, of course they are confused.

"chink" was the first word that popped into my mind, but i didn't want to say it. i wanted to go to china, so i could go to medical school for free while i taught english, but this chinese hag-professor sabotaged me, and i was thwarted in other opportunities. i even learned a little mandarin, with a perfect accent. BUT, i come to find out china is just a blanket of smog pollution covering the entire country.

And then this, Chink Chan doesn't want freedom for his people. HA!! And they want to take our guns away in america too, because their land is so polluted and the american government has made a deal with them to give them land in america, after the american population is disarmed, is all quite funny.

by someone or some things. if you can't save all, why bother saving one? if there's corruption in china, why is corruption in the US so bad? typical chinese logic, head in the cloud, no goal, no dignity, like something you would expect out of a patient suffering from depression. anything and everything the authority says will go, because they are too tired to resist. 4000 years of oppressions sure have killed off a lot of good genes.
