Ron Paul has no plans to endorse in RNC chairman’s race

Even though a Republican from the libertarian wing of the party is making a last minute bid for chairman of the Republican National Committee, former Texas congressman Ron Paul does not intend to make an endorsement in the race.

“As far as the RNC goes, he has no plans to endorse,” Megan Stiles, a Paul spokesman, told The Daily Caller on Tuesday.

Mark Willis, a RNC committeeman and former Ron Paul delegate from Maine, recently announced that he’s challenging chairman Reince Priebus for his job, and a group of ardent Paul supporters have been pushing his candidacy online.

Has anyone even brought the facts to his attention?

just wondering...

although, given the smear Priebus is spreading is that Willis was, unasked by him, put on a ballot as Ron's vp..... maybe he figures it wouldn't help Willis.

I wish Ron were on the air more so we could get an idea of where he is coming from.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

dp is badly split down the line between a stupid population

and a smart one that can read between the lines..

Why would he?

It would seem to me, that now Ron Paul is a contracted speaker, he would not be a spokeshole for the GOP, but rather, encouraging people to think for themselves given the facts. He's going on speaking tours to give facts, not endorsements.

Willis is trying to brand

Willis is trying to brand himself as a more general fiscally conservative Tea Party guy and DeMint fan - association with Ron Paul hurts him more than it helps him when the voters are the RNC.

wouldn't really help, would it?

his endorsement probably wouldn't help anything. anyone on the National Committee that likes Ron Paul is probably already voting for Mark Willis, the rest would probably be less likely to support him if Paul endorsed him. this is a bit of a non story.

Good! I'd be tired of the

Good! I'd be tired of the GOP's shit too. Ron is retired from Washington, let him endorse who he wants.

Perhaps Dr. Paul is ready to wash his hands of the Republican Party.

Why am I not surprised?

Just exactly what did Ron Paul do for his supporters that were defrauded, threatened, kidnapped or assaulted?

RON stood up for his supporters.

in every interview.

....but why doesn't he

....but why doesn't he endorse his followers politically? Is he cutting his ties with GOP or with his fiercely loyal followers who are being woo'ed to follow Rand Paul.

truth hurts downvotes?

This worries me. Our state chair had never heard of Willis last week. He is a Ron Paul supporter, too. Willis needed the endorsement for name recognition. Without it, it is possible that many will reconsider, wondering what Dr. Paul knows about him... And I am left to wonder, is he refusing to endorse so that Rand does not pay for it? If so, that sucks. I hoped for a more unbridled RP, not one who will rein himself in for his son's career.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Just maybe...

Ron Paul sees his sons career as the continuation of his own - his legacy, and has talked to Rand Paul about how best to help him have the kind of success that eluded him...I'd love to know what their conversations are like..

I am!

the problem is it came up so late

if we had known there was an election challenge a couple months ago we could have done a lot more with it. I am all in, myself, however!

I'm with you on wanting an 'unbridled Ron'. Since many don't know about Willis yet, I wonder how much Ron knows. Has Willis contacted Ron?

this isn't a gang fight..
