The Town of Wilton, New York GOP Committee announced today an adoption of a resolution opposing new gun restrictions

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION Tuesday, January 23, 2013.The Town of Wilton Republican Committee announced today its unanimous adoption of a resolution opposing new gun restrictions:

“No new laws ought to be passed which further restrict the
rights of law abiding New Yorkers to possess firearms. We endorse and uphold the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution: A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall
not be infringed.”

The Committee is asking other Saratoga County GOP Town and City Committees, to join us in adopting it.More importantly, however, is its call for all New Yorkers, irrespective of party affiliation, to join in protecting fundamental Constitutional rights. Town Chairman and County Vice-Chairman Scott Kingsley said, “Our right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right that transcends party politics. I hope all New Yorkers will join us in defending it.”
