NEVADA! NEVADA! NEVADA!

This is where Ron Paul should have been since Michigan every single day. It bothers me that he has opened up three offices in SC and spent any time there. The entire rest of the GOP is there...the south is EASILY fooled. That's where the GOP wins elections and where they spread the message of FEAR, and GOD, and fearing homosexuals. What a waste of valuble time and money on that state. Now, for those of you that are in SC and support RP I commend you, but the fact is you are OUTNUMBERED by your ignorant brethren that you live with down there ya'll. Nevada was WIDE OPEN for the taking and NO ONE except Romney is there. Paul should have been ALL OVER that state like white on rice. I hope im WRONG but I seriously doubt that I am. Nevada is the King of the customer service industry and MANY people there rely on tips ....and Gamblers love Ron Paul too. What a huge mistake!!! I'm just thinking about this from a strategical point of view. After this gaffe what happens next? Of course this is just my opinion but I think Paul should go IMMEDIATLY to MAINE and forget FL.....the rest of the GOP will be there and Maine will be sitting there with no one paying attention to it. It sure would be nice to get ONE win before Super Tuesday. If Paul keeps spending his time where the rest of the GOP is he's going to lose. Prove me wrong. That's how I see it shaking out..........Does anyone agree with me on this? If you don't I still would like to hear your point of view.

gonna be exciting week end.

gonna be exciting week end. Then Monday....MLK BOMB!!

RP has been to Nevada several times recently

RP has made multiple visits to Nevada in the past couple of months - in fact, I believe he's spent more time here than any other Republican candidate. He's the only republican running TV ads here, and the grassroots movement is very strong and well organized.

While everyone assumes that his "No tax on tips" stance would be big in the service sector (and it does help), the vast majority of the people in the service industry are members of the Culinary Union, which has endorsed Obama. The Democratic Party here has even gone so far as to allow caucus locations INSIDE some of the strip casinos to make sure that those people caucus as democrats, since many in the service sector will be working tomorrow AM.

Finally, give the south, and SC specifically, a break. While you may believe that it's nothing but hicks and inbreds down in SC, the south has a STRONG tradition of supporting states rights (see Civil War), and RP is by far the most vocal advocate of states rights to run for president in most people's lifetimes. Just because people in the south might talk a little slower doesn't mean they are stupid.

non-binding delegates?

This is from the NY Times election guide:

"The Republican National Committee voted to deprive South Carolina of half its delegates because its contest will fall before Feb. 5. Nevada was not penalized because its caucus is nonbinding."

They list Nevada with34 and SC with 24. Could the non-binding part be part of the reason more candidates haven't focussed on Nevada?

go NEVADA!

go NEVADA!

Whats Wrong with SC?

I'm in SC and I picked up 8 definate votes for Ron Paul today and 12 for the week. Some with reason and some with begging and pleading.
We will take this state tomorrow. Watch for an upset and watch for the Lord's gift of wet snowy weather! You don't understand what even a forecast of snow does to the people in these parts. I will get my people to the poles if I have to hook myself up to a sled and drag them in!

Every one add a few more votes today and work on getting every one to the polls tomorrow!!!

I agree with alot of this Nevada is a good place for Paul to be

I agree with alot of this Nevada is a good place for Paul to be, but I think they want to say they beat Romney in SC. I think this is what they are trying to accomplish by being there. Romney is dropping like a rock in SC - Ron Paul may beat him.

that logic wont work

weve beat Rudy and Fred, twice. And nothing has come of that. They still have front runner status and the blackout continues.

He needs a 2nd in nevada, and i think its REALLY possible.

Maybe that will be the

Saving Grace. It would be nice to beat Romney. Sad to say but the only reason that would happen in SC is because he is a Mormon. I wish it was some other reason but I doubt it.

Come on..

Ron Paul has spent more in Neveda THAN ANYONE... there was an article...

HE IS ALL OVER NEVEDA...

Give me a brake!!! hahaha..

VOTE TOMORROW... VOTE OFTEN!! VOTE EARLY..

Oh come on....

You know if Ron Paul wasn't spending any money at all in SC you would be complaining and mad as hell that he wasn't campaigning there.

Wilmington NC LOVES Dr. Paul

Wilmington NC LOVES Dr. Paul

Actually, I wouldn't

I've thought all along SC was a waste. I live in IN but im VERY familiar with the south......Born and raised in VA and lived in NC too. I know how the south is. While there are RP supporters there.....change comes S L O W L Y in the south. If RP had more time then FINE spend time and money in SC.......but he doesn't. I wish he would have picked his battles better. Let's just see how it pans out. I hope you're right and I'm wrong. I would LOVE being wrong on this one, trust me. I'd give a lot to have Paul in the WH.

None of the

None of the pre-super-Tuesday states are a waste. There are very few of them. That means very few opportunities to establish the impression of electability via good showings in an objective polling, in the face of the media's silence and their pollsters' low numbers.

As with a company's stock price versus its profit figures, it's important for Ron to show an upward ramp in his election performance in order to hit the big time by Super Tuesday. That means it's a double whammy if he ignores SC and as a result his percentage there dips. Even a landslide in Nevada wouldn't make up for that - the media can play NV as a one-of-a-kind special case.

"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

Is there any RP TV advertizing seen on Nevada TV?

How much is being spent? How many 30 commercials? If you live there, have you seen any? If so, which ones? I would like to know. How about the newspaper? Any Ron Paul spreads done about him? Any editors writing for him? Any letters to the editors on RP's behalf make it into the papers?

Tell us whats up THE DAY Before the vote?

Treg /Tempe AZ meet up

several different commercials during prime time

I've seen 2 or 3 unique commercials this past week multiple times each, all during prime-time on the local CBS/NBC/ABC affiliates. Hillary and Obama are the only other commercials I've seen - none of the other republicans are running TV ads here.

We are all working very hard to GOTV today and we expect a good showing tomorrow. The weather here has been cold (well, for Las Vegas), so that may affect the turn out as well. In my book, low overall turnout = better results for RP.

Vote RON PAUL 2008

President Paul in Nevada

He has spent most of his time since Michigan in Nevada. Here is a link to an interview on local Nevada TV:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV9nzNS6ZOQ

Thanks for the link

I'm glad he's spent most of his time in NV. Fred's spent ALL of his time in SC and I'm just saying that Paul should have spent ALL of his time in NV. He needs the WIN. Anytime spent in SC is time not spent in NV.......not sure how I could say that anymore clearly. Paul doesn't need to spend Most of his time in Maine either........rather ALL of his time after NV.

baubaublacksheep

I think...

I think someone's light in there loafers.

Craigbg

I'm positive this wouldn't be

the first time you were wrong in your thinking. And, equally as positive it won't be your last.

baubaublacksheep

Has Ron Paul had any face time on the Nevada television stations

His campaign staff is doing such a great job of keeping him out the national spotlight, I hope he may have found a few chances to get televised on the local news around Las Vegas and Reno etc.

alan laney

Ralston said RP might take #2 in Nevada

on MSNBC this afternoon

That would be AWESOME

at this point........however..........I WANT A WIN!!!!!! don't you?

How about some feedback

Saul? Instead of an insult? If not for RP I don't think many of his supporters would get along with one another. I guess that's what you get when you mix Christians with Atheist with Muslims with Republicans with Democrats with Independents with Youth with Seniors with Truthers.

This election will be determined by who takes the West; not the

South. I agree with the author's idea that Nevada should have received much more attention in general by the GOP. Despite the great showing in our straw polls, there's nothing that points to a definitive win for our man there. Nevada is worth ten more national delegates than South Carolina. We could be working it a lot more than we are; and I think we should. Let's hope our grassroots are stepping it up in anticipation for this weekend.

I don't get it

Ron Paul has been to Nevada 3 times as I understand. He developed a reputation and relationships that way. He was all over the place, even the little towns. Why do you keep saying he wasn't in Nevada? I saw him in Reno and Las Vegas when I was up there the week before Thanksgiving.

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

Healthnut4freedom

The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment...Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are His delight. Prov 12:19,22

I never said he wasn't in NV......

but........he can't be in TWO places at once.......and he's been in SC....that takes away from time in NV. He's got three offices in SC....that takes away from NV. Paul needs to spend FAR FAR FAR more time in one place to make up for the difference for being blackballed by the MSM.

baubaublacksheep

All I know is that I never

All I know is that I never ran a election campaign before so ima have to say I'll go with what Ron Paul thinks is best.
