Maine's Lone NO Vote in Priebus Coronation

From ME's RNC Committeewoman Ashley Ryan: At the request of our constituents in the Maine Republican Party and the conservative grassroots movement, Mark Willis and I respectfully stood in opposition of the reelection of Chairman Priebus. Although we were unsuccessful, I am proud and honored to have had the opportunity to have stood up for my state party and its principles and beliefs.

So what happened to Nevada?

So what happened to Nevada? From the postings here it looked like the Liberty movement had taken control of the GOP there.

Yes I know they got a talking-to. But why did "our people" vote for this guy instead of at least letting the contest go to the next stage?

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

I'm not sure...

I'm not sure, but I think that Willis lacked a the 3rd state to be nominated so he was forced to withdraw from the race. The choices were Aye, Nay, or neither. Maine chose No. NV chose Aye considering all the mess they're already going through with the shadow GOP in NV since their takeover.

I'm pretty sure that one guy, Smack from Nevada withdrew support

while Willis was still meeting with people to come up with his last needed state. one guy from TExas did vote with Maine from Ashley's twitter account.

You can be sure that The Good Doctor

is taking notice - once more - of the commitment and integrity - of the Maine National Delegates right now at this convention, at the August convention and at our May convention, where they were chosen.

Maine has stood tall every single time. No deals. No compromises. Always standing on principle.

It's truly a beautiful thing to witness.

God Bless them all - Mark and Ashley and Bryan and everyone else who are there. There is no finer group to represent Liberty. Period.

Granted the GOP has failed us....

...but it's my opinion that we must continue to both work through channels inside and outside the Party. We should also be working through the Democrat Party and Libertarian Party.

We should also be out on the streets, in our offices, with our friends, and with our families spreading the message of liberty.

It's going to take a intellectual war waged on all fronts, not just through the GOP. Find your place where you feel most effective and comfortable, and have a little fun changing hearts and minds!

Way to go Ashley!

Maine has quite a few good

Maine has quite a few good prospects from which to select future leaders for our new political party. :)

First, I wish the Winter Meeting

was on the front page so I wouldn't have to look for it. This is the most important thing happening right now, as far as our people trying to make a difference. We have a small but dedicated group there walking the walk. They should be recognized for their efforts, which should be in a place for EVERYONE to easily read. Here is a facebook page that was put up for the meeting:

I'm from Nevada, I was a National Delegate who unbound for Ron Paul. There are so many questions about why we defected & we aren't getting straight answers. All I know is, I happened upon MSNBC this morning & the DEMOCRATS were saying the TRUTH about the GOP & how misguided the party is. At this point, I truly think the GOP should elect a democrat to head the party. It made me LAUGH to hear them talking about Rancid Prepus's remarks about making the party the NEW GOP, and WELCOMING others - HAH! Prepus will welcome you, take your money & then stick a knife in your back. He was as welcoming to us at that convention as Hitler escorting us to the showers.

AND, from my & others efforts on the Platform Committee, the GOP is NEVER going to quit beating the drums against gays, abortion, divorce, sex ed for kids, & a plethora of other issues that drive voters away by the millions. I told the Restoration of the Constitution Committee, on which I served, and the body of the Platform Committee, that these stances were going to ruin the party & I was told to take a hike. This party is TOAST.

My state is talking about how Smack took the deal to get money for NV from Prepus/the RNC. Can you believe that? I don't know if it's true, but if it is, what a JUDAS!!!!!!!!!!

Go read this report from MSNBC & have a laugh.

Some things that have to be said though...

In your country in seems to me that rhetoric always gets shifted by 'as opposed to' stereotype. Even amongst so-called libertarians this holds true. While being good in term of non-conformity this approach ultimately fail when it comes to understanding issues. And that is what I think one of the major reasons libertarians get so little traction.

Take for instance your own words: "GOP is NEVER going to quit beating the drums against gays, abortion, divorce, sex ed for kids, & a plethora of other issues that drive voters away by the millions." Provocative wording and seems to be intended this way, but those issues are not some sack of "yeah we know all about that" to throw around so lightly. Because although you can retract and point out that nothing specific was mentioned, a lot was suggested. And spoken of as of decided "commonly understood" fact.

You simply can't mix up abortion and sex-ed for kids, no matter the subject. That makes no sense and discourages learning about the specifics. Personally I'm all hands against sex-ed for kids, and I'm against many gay-related steps that are taken today due to willful ignorance of the matter. But how do I sound if I just throw this 'against' out there just because majority is for that (as atrocious as it it). Exactly - I sound angry and unconvincing. This site is kinda site of friend of liberty movement, true enough, but it also praises explanation and common sense (or so I hope). In the end that should be the governing dynamic of any consistent information, don't you agree? Now you can argue but we are supposed to know all that already, but still, after a year on this site I can say that learning goes very slow here (catching doctrine is fast, but personal learning - very slow)

Chestpounding and fistpumping just doesn't work.

Sorry for my bad English (if that's the case). If any offense was taken - it wasn't ever intended by me.

Reince Priebus caught in the act!

Idiot Republicans haven't figured out that doing things the way

they always have been lately is what COST them the election. The Liberty Republicans are the only chance they had, but they cut it off. And now like idiots they purge the only thing that WORKS.

They are going to lose even more at the midterm elections.
