Go to aol.com and run a news search for Ron Paul. I was surprised that of the dozens of articles and stories in all sorts of media this last week, this is what aol.com shows top to bottom on page one.

We must realize who our ememies are. There are SO MANY, it is easy to get confused...
However, there is NO DOUBT ABOUT IT that the elitest media is right up there at the top of the list of domestic enemies to America.

NOT JUST INTERNET DONATIONS?
I AM THINKING THIS ONE is about all donations coming in by mail, phone and net etc. I might be wrong(have been before). If I am right it would be really hard to put up the names and keep track. They have to wait for checks to clear and all that stuff.
I know so many people that really enjoyed seeing their own name and names of others in their state pop up on the screen. My grandson and his wife even copied theirs and sent it to me. It was very exciting.
I hope they can work on a better format than the one up there now. We need the ongoing excitement.
Either way, make sure and go on and make your $100.00 pledge. It is far more doable than the $1,000.00 one that someone tried last quarter.

If one news agency says $3M, then they all start saying $3M. MSNBC wrote $2.4M this morning. It wouldn't surprise me that they are just playing telephone.

3 million dollars is what the NBC nightly news reported
I was watching the NBC with Brian Williams tonight and they had a report that Ron Paul raised 3 million dollars this quarter, John McCain 5million, and Fred $8. They didn't mentioned Mike Huckabee. Where did they get this number? I think they got it from the WSJ article today. I wonder if this is correct? It seems low. They said in the 30 sec segment on MSNBC on Hardball for the nightly news that he was a dark horse that is showing the green.... I am just glad he was mentioned.

Nightly news is wrong
The Ron Paul campaign has not released their numbers yet.
If it was 3 million as the Nightly News says, that wouldn't make sense because that means in all of July, August and September (Except for the last 7 days) the Ron Paul Campaign would have only made 1.8 million.
I can count 5 days alone where the Ron Paul Campaign made over 100,000 each day. That leaves 1.3 million divided by 84 days which equals
$15,476 per day which equals 644.00 per hour. I know thats wrong.
Now we know this is false because it was said earlier by the campaign that July was the best month for contributions, then August was claimed to be better than that for contributions, and then of course you have September with the 1780 Constitution Week campaign that delivered 3400 contributors. Not to mention all the west coast gold mining trips.
In the Second quarter the Ron Paul campaign hauled in 2.5 million, so you know it had to do better than that without the 1.2 million last week fund drive because according to the campaign each month in the 3rd quarter was the best month ever. So at the very least you are looking at 4 million, but I think it is closer to 6.7 million. I say this because I think they had 5.5 million when they asked for the 500,000, to try and make it 6 million, but they will end up getting 6.7 million because of the extra 700,000 we tacked on.
This would follow along with what they said earlier that they probably brought in more money than just about everyone on the Republican side.
Giuliani is probably going to report 8 million, Thompson at 7 million and McCain at 5 million. Romney is expected to do worse than before, but will offset it with a bigger cash injection of his own money which really doesn't count as support.
So only Giuliani will do significantly better than Ron Paul, and Thompson squeaks out slightly more for all that time he spent (more than a quarter) receiving funds and getting all the free media time.
If Ron Paul received the same media attention as Thompson he would be beating Hillary's numbers
I don't mean to be negative about the $ goals...but
I was very surprised to see the new financial goals on the campaign website...not because the goals or high or we have close deadlines, but because we just finished raising for the 3rd quarter. I would really like to know how we did. I do understand that their is a huge time crunch and the demand for money to grow the campaign is becoming intense as we have to prepare for so many primaries in such a short period of time, and they can't slow down the raising process. But I also think that it is important to recognize that RP supporters financially sacrifice for each dollar they give to the campaign, especially since many are young and/or have never contributed to a candidate previously.
We also are in the unique situation of having a truly grassroot movement. Sure I guess I could wait until the FEC deadline on Oct 15th to find out what the 3Q total was, but I sort of feel ownership interest in this campaign and I want to know! And I mean that in only the nicest way!

If you have noticed over the past two days, the "top tier" candidates have received all of the headlines. If Ron Paul had released his numbers yesterday or today, they would have been buried. My guess is that they will release them either Thursday or Friday and hope that the new numbers will be talked about over the weekend on all of the weekend shows. If he releases late this week he will beat all expectations and no one else will be able to take the spotlight off the numbers for an entire weekend.

I was thinking the exact same thing earlier today. Maybe the campaign is waiting to release the numbers so all the Sunday shows will pick up on it. Also, maybe they're waiting for Huckabee to put out his numbers so it is glaringly obvious how much more support Ron has in comparison.

may be challenging. But they must think that they can be accomplished. They probably see the individual donor numbers and see tons of small donations and figure those small $$ figures could continue well into the future.
I may have to stop smoking for Ron Paul :P just so I can donate more hehehe...
