...You mean anti-constitution, gun-control, gun-ban, Dennis Kucinich, the sacred 'civil liberty' holy-warrior?
That Dennis Kucinich?
Having been continually exposed to the epic ignorance and or epic non-adherence to fundamental liberties displayed by so many on this site, I cannot but conclude that there is no viable 'liberty movement' to be made up of such people.
A small percentage is about all that have any grasp, at best.
Right to BEAR ARMS!! It would be awesome to have a pair of bear arms.
1. Wow, I don't have cable anymore, and it's amazing once you get a little distance from it how obvious it is that television is nothing but pure reality TV style bulls hittery 24/7.
2. Hannity is a an exceptional douchebag, even for TV.
3. If ever we were going to work with some leftists, I'd want it to be leftists like Kucinich. For all his flaws, at least he's honest.
My right to bear arms guarantees the constitutions existence, not the other way around.
Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.
In a sea of garbage Kucinich looks like a shiny little row boat but of course Dr.Paul is a gleaming tall ship.Kucinich has some good thoughts and ideas compared to all the other trash in congress but he is far from being a libertarian.
Like other posters, I really appreciated Kucinich's comments about Americans weaponizing themselves as a response to increasing fears. I wish this had been discussed more and hope it will be in future interviews.
This is a little old but Penn and Teller did a show on gun control that I found fun and instructive. I especially like Penn's arm-women/pink-guns argument.
I think he is heavily pro abortion so I do not trust him. Sekulow would not be huge supporter of Dr. PAUL imo.

Using the health industry as a weapon against the American people will only empower the gov't.
and all in the GOP were Ron Pauls. What a much better nation we would be. Reasonable, good men with differences of opinion, but who hold to the Constitution.
Instead, we are stuck with the theater clowns, drama queens, used car salesmen, former ambulance chasers and tyrants-in-training. Dennis Kucinich will always have my respect, notwithstanding some of his views that I disagree with.
Hannity, I'm glad you are pleasantly surprised Kucinich position. How about next time you shut up and let the good man talk more?
Conscience does not exist if not exercised
"No matter how cynical you get, it's impossible to keep up!
Yeah if they were only all like Kucinich, we wouldn't be military interventionists and no Fed...but we'd be taxed to death so Kucinich can have his universal healthcare which he says is a right and we'd all be disarmed.
Yes Kucinich does a couple good things, but I don't get why people talk so highly of him. What happened to thoroughly checking somebody's record in the Liberty movement before praising him? This is how you get co-opted and elect somebody like when the Tea Party gets behind Sarah Palin.
Why stop at deputizing doctors? Why not priests? Lawyers? Spouses?
He'd probably say getting rid of attorney/ client privilege was a bad idea. Ya think, esq.?

They just see fit to pursue issues related to the fist, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth amendments more than others. The ACLU is a powerful force on the side of liberty.
It's a bureaucratic entity so it has no clarity, it does both harm and good, in my opinion. They have definitely been on our side more times than one. They have also fought hard against the sanctity of life and is a major proponent of educational indoctrination -- teaching only one viewpoint and not offering the alternatives.
Freedom in our lifetime! - fiol.us
if that's what you're referring to. You can have qualms with their abortion stances, but their insistence on separation of church and state is consistent with the founders' preferences.
It is true that sometimes state ACLUs can prioritize silly things.
Teaching one religious viewpoint but not another isn't consistent, full stop. There is a huge portion of the population that believes things work one way, and another portion that thinks they work a different, conflicting way. You cannot just pick which one you think is right and teach that one! It matters not at all which side of the issue you fall on, it is absolutely inconsistent with separation of church and state, not to mention basic morals, to teach one but not the other.
with separation of church and state. What would be inconsistent is teaching one but not the other, or not teaching evolution because it disagrees with what fundamentalists of only one or two religions believe. I don't disagree with you. By creationism I meant fundamentalist christianity.
The ACLU certainly doesn't, for example, endorse the teaching of Islam and not Christianity or something like that.
You're just picking and choosing.
There has been constant pressure for decades to teach religion in schools in the guise of creationism or intelligent design, far more than there has been any motion to discourage the teaching of religion (as a subject, not a substitute for science or somesuch) at any school. In fact, where you will find creationism taught more (Texas or Georgia?), you will see also an effort to diminish the presence of other religions in curricula.
He's ACLJ, the bible-thumpers' counterpart to the SPLC. That's why he's cool with invading privacy and putting armed guards in schools. I don't want guards in my kids' elementary school! I want persons who already work there anyway to have the option to carry on the premises under their own license to carry.
People in general should be required to report credible threats to imminently cause loss of life whether suicide or homicide, and at the same time should be prevented from reporting nonspecific feelings of "wanting to kill" themselves or others which won't be unambiguously carried out. The concept of mandatory reporting for certain occupations should be eliminated.
The government is trying to declare EVERYBODY crazy and use it as an excuse to deny firearms forever. Congress passed a reasonable law giving people accused of being crazy to restore their right to own guns and this law is subject to frequent hit pieces from the left which it would not suffer if it were about the right to drive or right to vote just because they're gun haters. This is a war on gun owners as scary as the war on drugs, and I'm very worried that the neo-con/neo-lib statists like McConnell and Boehner will rob us of the Second Amendment in deference to their elitist owners' demands.
Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.
but my question to him, and Dennis, is still, 'where does all the deputizing end?'. Schools have kids spying/reporting on their parents, J. Napolitano wants you to report 'suspicious people' in Wal-Mart, iPhones have apps so you can film suspicious activity, hit send, goes straight to DHS, and on and on.
I don't believe for a second our govt gives a flying squirrel whose mentally ill or not. They're really looking for dissenters to their agenda. They know well what the 2nd Amend. is there for. We were all made terrorists after 9/11.
.. that NeoCon Sean referred to Kucinich as a liberal.
The reality is that Kucinich is a classic liberal. I'd much rather have him over any number of Hannitys any day!
When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!
I'm really saddened that repealing the Hippo Laws is being discussed frequently in these debates. Confidentiality is essential for mentally sick people the even consider seeking help for their problems. If they know they can be ratted out to authorities for all kinds of crap they won't.
I just think it's crap to even consider making health-professionals informers of the state in this manner, since it undoubtly would harm their ability to do what they ought to: care for peoples health.
They're making laws against hippos? What have they ever done to harm others in zoos? ;P
Uhg, on the one hand we have statists on the left yelling for gun confiscation. On the other hand we have statists on the right yelling to increase the mental health police state. We rational people are caught in between the control freaks.
Well I don't know why I came here tonight, I got the feeling that something ain't right, I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair, And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs, Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am, Stuck in the middle with you.
Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you, And I'm wondering what it is I should do, It's so hard to keep this smile from my face, Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place, Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
Well you started out with nothing, And you're proud that you're a self made man, And your friends, they all come crawlin, Slap you on the back and say, Please.... Please.....
Trying to make some sense of it all, But I can see that it makes no sense at all, Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor, 'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
Well I don't know why I came here tonight, I got the feeling that something ain't right, I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair, And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs, Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am, Stuck in the middle with you, Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you, Stuck in the middle with you. :D
Watch the video. Kucinich says he'd consider an assault weapons ban if he were in Congress. Sure this guy says some good things once in a while, but he's no friend of liberty. He's a straight up socialist in regards to the economy. I give him props for being one of the few Democrats who are actually anti-war, but that's where my support for him ends.
Where have you been? He's been a leader among Dr. Paul to End the Fed and fix our economic mess that they caused.
Is he a libertarian? Absolutely not, but I'll take Kucinich in regards to the economy and war over a majority of the people in congress. He has some sort of clue. I would never say he's a straight up socialist in regards to the economy.
Obviously you don't know much about Kucinich. Just because he's against the Bankers doesn't mean he's got the same goals of fixing the economy as we or Dr. Paul do.
He wants to fix the deficit by taxes, not cutting spending. He's also a huge proponent of "free" (universal) health care, who thinks it's a right in our society.
Like I said, I commend him for his foreign policy. And he's been anti-big bank his whole career. But he's a straight up economic socialist. And getting to a country of Austrian economics is the most important thing, as that snowballs everything else.
Again, we can commend him for a couple acts. But he's no friend of Liberty. I'll call him an ally regarding foreign policy, and that's it. After you see his record, you'll see as well.
Did I say anything about healthcare? No
Get your head out of your a$$ and read what I said. He has more of an understanding on two main issues we fight for. To say he's completely socialist when he's anti-federal reserve makes no sense. A socialist would love a central bank.
He's a closer friend on some issues than some of the republicans are...
