Justin Amash's vote against U.S. House Speaker John Boehner serves his constitutents

Matthew Davis: "If serving in Congress (and I use the word "serving" only for ease of reference) were nothing more than finding some lickspittle with an over-inflated sense of self-importance to bring home more pork for a congressional district, then U.S. Rep. Justin Amash would be the wrong guy for the job.

Amash was in the news recently for trying to engineer an alternative candidacy for the job of Speaker to the current incumbent, U.S. Rep. John Boehner of Ohio. Amash's maneuver de derriere was in part related to his earlier being stripped of his committee assignment by Boehner because Amash was not buying Boehner's deal to avert the so-called "fiscal cliff.""

Nice article

Bad comments underneath the article, most of them done by people who can't see past the left/right paradigm, but still an article I liked.

OldNo.7J.D. didn't think Justin was in the news much, I was just trying to help.
