Krauthammer: ‘Neoconservative’ is epithet used to disparage Jewish conservatives VIDEO

At the National Review Institute Summit in Washington, D.C. on Friday night, Washington Post columnist and Fox News Channel regular Charles Krauthammer disowned the term “neoconservative,” saying it has become little more than an epithet used to disparage Jewish conservatives.

Krauthammer, who has long been considered hawkish on foreign policy matters, made the remarks in an interview with National Review magazine editor Rich Lowry.

“No,” Krauthammer said, when asked whether he identifies as a neoconservative. “It is an epithet. It is nothing more. It once had a meaning, when Irving Kristol and Norman Podhoretz sort of changed their political ideology and made a great case for it in the ‘70s. Today it’s usually meant as a silent synonym for ‘Jewish conservative.’”

Not the first time the NeoCons have tried this gambit!

This is not the first time the NeoCons have tried to weasel out of the NeoCon label, which they themselves created.

Just days ago, I was looking up the Wikipedia page for Commentary Magazine, where it was described as a neoconservative publication. In the "talk" section of the page, where editors discuss edits, it turns out someone tried to remove the reference to neoconservativism, claiming it was an epithet to disparage Jews. Someone else pointed out (furnishing proof) that this was a label the NeoCons had come up with THEMSELVES. To describe, well, themselves. The term was not removed from the page. But who knows what could happen in the future? I suggest we keep an eye on that Wikipedia page!

If "NeoCon" has negative connotations, they might want to just consider the possibility that it's because, well, they've done negative things.

Interesting tell. He knows

Interesting tell. He knows he's holding a weak hand if he's down to playing the ethnicity card.
