CBS Sunday Morning OP/ED calls to trash the US Constitution

This morning this was presented on CBS Sunday Morning variety show. Unable to amend they will destroy to get their way. What option to they leave those who wish only to be left alone in freedom?

His compromise was ultimately a faith that the Constitution could be changed, through the convention and amendment process. This, of course, when there were only 13 states. Corporations lasted for a few years, and were not yet multi-generational. Most guilds were still in operation. In much of Europe, feudalism and the divine right of kings was still going on. This is a big problem... but this guy just makes it sound like giving all of the power to the executive would be so much easier. Sure, it would. That's why we have a Constitution.

Wow, 20 years ago, I never would have thought this day would come... But hey, times are changing and this guy makes a lot of sense... c'mon people, think of the possibilities this offers us, just think, Piers Morgan, President of the United States! I really like that guy and he's got a cool voice. We need more people like him guiding us... Think of the untold problems solved by shredding the parchment, you got an immigration problem? Not anymore, shred the document and save some electricity, finally we can turn those pesky lights off in the beacon of freedom and liberty. That's a turtle killing beacon by the way, so yes, that will have to be eliminated. Good luck finding us less fortunate of the world, if you still even want to. I can even see the day when shredding might even solve the American obesity epidemic... Less blogging, mandatory exercise.

I wonder what this professor's statute of limitations is on law... Laws passed a couple of generations ago, say, the Social Security Act, perhaps should be ignored. Or maybe we should discard notions from the 1960's outlawing Jim Crow laws because they, too, are from almost 2 generations ago. Or maybe we should discard Miranda Rights as a relic of a legalistic past and just trust cops to do the reasonable thing.

I'm not sure where he'd draw the line between laws to be ignored and laws to be obeyed. I don't think he's sure. I'll bet he hasn't given it that much thought.

The document and the founders do not rule us as the communist pig states. The Constitution is clearly a framework for freedom. It was about how the people shouldn't make such a big deal about the 2nd Amendment...more spin..using seditious scholars.

Imagery resounds very effectively, compared to the spoken word, and to effectuate this, CBS showed a picture with ONE gun-rights activist, and immediately follow that with a picture of NUMEROUS gun-control proponents.

They are trying desperately to stem the tide of new "converts" everyday. The many new 2nd Amendment Supporters.....and they know that they are losing the battle..."they" being the government-sponsored,propaganda-spewing media-control-lobby .....yes a lobby.
