God Spoke To Me Today, Mea Culpa DP!

I extend an apology to those on the DP who I have offended with my argument that, grassroots is now worthless to me because the GOP has all the tools, and more, to accomplish everything I did when I was grassroots as they make it so easy by comparison.

I did not expect today's scripture and homily to touch my heart concerning the Daily Paul community, but it did, and God opened my eyes, ears, and heart, and gave me a new perspective.

Here's was the scripture from the New Testement (our second reading in the Catholic Church):

1 Corinthians 12: 12 - 30

12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body -- Jews or Greeks, slaves or free -- and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many.
15 If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," that would not make it any less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?
18 But as it is, God arranged the organs in the body, each one of them, as he chose.
19 If all were a single organ, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you," nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."
22 On the contrary, the parts of the body which seem to be weaker are indispensable,
23 and those parts of the body which we think less honorable we invest with the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,
24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior part,
25 that there may be no discord in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, then healers, helpers, administrators, speakers in various kinds of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

It crossed my mind that the mistake I was making on Daily Paul was that I had dismissed grassroots.. "Been there, done that", was like a mantra for me.. and it's true.. after 33 years of being grassroots, I was burnt out, happy to be on a committee.

God has shown me how to make my committee work even better, and this is by taking the luxury the GOP offers me in my membership and giving it to the grassroots, so it's not so hard on them, so they can do what I did for all those years, easier, and better. I can get permits, I have resources I did not have before, and rather than keeping this in the GOP as some exclusive.. God has shown me that it is my duty as a Catholic and a RepubliCAN, to share these blessings FREELY.. Of course I am bound somewhat.. I will not be able to share them with the Democrats.. they have their own after all.. but for Independents.. I can share, and I will.

Please accept my apology in dissing the grassroots. I WAS WRONG AND I AM VERY VERY SORRY.. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, MAXIMAS MEA CULPA.

May God have mercy and forgive me, and may you, my brothers and sisters in LIBERTY and FREEDOM, forgive me.

Forgive! It is not mine to judge!

Forgiveness is divine, according to another scripture!

I feel so much better now. Verily I go on my way.

Vera Lynn - "When The Lights Go On Again" Close of WW II.

[Victorla: Vera Lynn - When The Lights Go On Again.] 3 minutes song w/ 1940s photographs

Description included w/ audio record: A song of hope looking forward to the end of World War 2 and the Blackout, and soldiers returning home. It's hard for those of us born later to fully understand the way the War affected everything. My mom was evacuated [from town] to strangers in the [[English] countryside to be away from our city being bombed. People went without foods we take for granted now... and worst of all, many many lives of loved ones were lost or damaged.
Epiphany: The feast was called among the Syrians denho (up-going), a name to be connected with the notion of rising light expressed in Luke. I, 78.

Best wishes you you & yer kin. Thank you for your letter. [Stammer] My condolences about yer Ma. ~ Ah shucks, [Stammer] I ain't good at this on no count.

The question was whether 'keyboard warriors' like myself were really in 'the fight'.

Yes sure, fine. I am not holding a weapon above my head but I'm still fighting in the way I know how.

And I plan to be effective...

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

Thank you for sharing how God moves us to do what we never dreamed.

Excellent post

It takes a (wo)man to apologize!

Speaking of...I was rather rude to you some time ago. It was maybe two months ago and it was about being part of the GOP or being part of the problem or whatever and I was...less than civil in my response. Never got around to apologizing for that until now, since we don't converse often.

I don't know who said this: "The rewards in life go to those who are willing to give up the past."

Nor this: "An Apology is the best way to have the last word."

Let's converse more! THANK YOU for being YOU! @>-->------

Problem is...

...that I almost never have anything interesting to converse about! ;o

And thank YOU for trying to change the GOP from within. It's not the route I'm taking, but hey, someone has to do it. ;) What are the other folks on the committee like? Do they have their own little cliques (old vs new, moderate vs hardliner, etc)? LOL sorry, just trying to ask the right questions.

I'm choosing a more local route for now. There are strong hunting, farming, and bartering communities here and I've been trying to build on those. Might try holding a local office but I really don't have that sort of personality...or patience, heh.

My committee?

In 05 the chair at the time was arrested http://theava.com/archives/5409

This scared the hell ourt of Republicans who flew the coop, leaving the committee way underseated.. they may not have wanted me, but they needed people.. and I just kept showing up.

Last meeting.. we stayed at least an hour afterwards,, and they were talking about UN Agenda 21.. Gun grabs.. honestly.. my committee is like DP in real life at this point.. we talk about the sanme stuff on my committee as here in DP.

Maybe all GOP committees will become like that? I honestly like everyone on my committee very much.

Never heard about that story. Quite an interesting read, thanks.

Good to hear that your meetings have that atmosphere, I often get the opposite impression whenever I'm around rank-and-file Republicans (although we are on different sides of the country...maybe it's a regional thing).

Off-topic: Mendocino country is a very nice area, as is most of the northern third of CA. Always thought of NorCal as South Oregon.

Mendocino is very nice. We think of it as an island, seperate from OR, and CA.. To the West we have the Pacific, to the East we have mountain passes through thick redwood forests, hairpin turns that I've seen many visitors, over the years, pulled over and car sick. To the South, we have more forested mountains, with hairpin turns that hug the steep rocky cliffs.. a strong gust of wind or missing a turn in dense fog promises to send one "over the cliff", and to the North, we have THE LOST COAST, a no man's land.. South OR is way more populated. We have a McDonald's, a Starbucks and one chain grocery,, all for the tourists. Seems everywhere one goes it smells like marijuana. I'm not part of that group.. I'm part of the community of volunteers, and I guess I smell more like chicken shit being I raise chickens, not pot. NorCal.. Yep. Love it or leave it.

passed through the area a few times

back in the early 2000s, when I was on the road. Yeah, definitely lots of pot farms there (harvesting jobs can pay a LOT).

It's a lot more laid back than around here, that's for sure.

Southern OR is more populated, but it has a similar atmosphere to me, at least towns like Phoenix and Ashland (not so much Medford...)

Used to camp at Jefferson Wellsprings and Lithia Park, way up in the mountains. Fished for these little weird brown...fish at a stream near my camp. Called them "grat"...not sure what they really were. Met lots of good folks, many more strange ones. Lots of good if fuzzy memories of those days.

PS: Any advice on raising chickens? Wouldn't mind having my own fresh eggs...

We've had some good threads on the past.. check them out, and youtube looking at coops and chickens that make you smile. Get to know the folks at your feed store.. they will become friends.

To God be the Glory!

thanks be to to God that you know where you should be now and can appreciate it. Thanks for your work in the grass roots. Thanks for your persistence in your pursit of truth. All things work together for good ....

God bless you as you continue your journey!

And with your spirit ((((LivingTheDream)))))

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Yes, PRAISE GOD, for really, today tok me by surprise.. My Mother passed away three years ago today. She was on my mind and in my prayers.. so I did not expect to hear God whisper in my ear during the second reading: "This message is for you concerning Daily Paul." But it all made perfect sense, and as soon as I came home, I made my apology. I am so very grateful to God, and those who encourage me in my faith. God Bless You!

It's good you see the error of your ways

It's good you see the error of your ways.
Grass roots built this country and grass roots will FIX this country.

Anyways I would like to share some other quotes from the bible.
- Blessed is the one who grabs your little children and smashes them agianst a rock. Psalm 137:9

- You may purchase slaves from amoung the foreigners who live amoung you. You may also purchase their children. You may treat them as your property. Leviticus 25:44

- Cursed be he who does the lords work remissily, cursed he who holds back his sword from blood. Jeremiah 48:10

- Show no mercy, have no pity! kill them all - old and young, girls women and little children Ezekiel 9:5

- When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought agian. Exodus 21:7

Tools of war are not always obvious. The worst weapon is an idea planted in the mind of man. Prejudices can kill, suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has an everlasting fallout all of its own.

Your post prooves why Bible Study is so important

I appreciate my Bible Study because my teacher has so many wonderful reasources and makes the Bible come alive to the point I want to go to Israel. I want to see, touch, smell, hear, and feel with my soul what my mind tries to understand in scripture.

Peter is known as The Rock.. and my first uneducated thought would be that these children were of those who were being raised to kill Christians.. and the Christians didn't want to actually kill the children, but kill the spirits that were growing within the flesh of the children, to actually kill the Christians, least we forget.. Christians were killed for being Christians when Bible passages were being penned. This link is a nice one because it translates many different Bibles and gives an explaination that is not like mine.. again, mine is uneducated.. I'm just sharing outloud my idea, http://bible.cc/psalms/137-9.htm

You might want to use that link for your other quotes as well.

I applaud you for seeking, and questioning scripture, and pray you find answers, that work for YOU. As for me The CAtechism of the Catholic Church is by far the most profound tome I have ever attempted, and it absolutely changed my world view, for the better.

Peace be with you!

Do you work for MSM? Quotes are not in context of the stories.

However, this does aound like the USA policy plan against Native Americans, Philipinos, Afghanis, Iraqis, Syrians, Libyans, Balkans and so on.

Just pointing out what god has said.

Just pointing out what god has said. And he said god spoke to him, so I'm posting some other things god said.
The first is somewhat out of context but the rest are fully within context.

also, no, I don't work for the msm.

Is that what you believe? Or are you bearing a false witness?

They are all out of context of the story they were a part.

The prophets also warned these people about there godless ways.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

- Ephesians 6:10-18

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

- Matthew 6:33

Never under-estimate my potential.
