Your freedom and tax dollars are never safe when the legislature is in session…

The Iowa Legislature has convened. And once again the special interest lobbyists and establishment politicians are plotting to deprive you of your God-given liberty and your hard earned money.

But luckily, you and I now have the tools necessary to fight back.

Dr. Paul’s heroic leadership left a network of fully-informed, energized and passionate political activists in its wake. Nothing can stop a message whose time has come, and the politicians are finally starting to realize that something BIG is happening…

It’s up to us to bring the fight straight to the Iowa Legislature with a clear message: “We will not stop until you respect our liberty.”

We don’t visit the Gold-Dome in order to cozy up to the speaker of the house or the governor.

And we are certainly not there to rub elbows with the special interest lobbyist that advance their cause with cocktail parties, luxurious dinners and campaign donations.

We are there to fight for your freedom – period.

Liberty Iowa is fully committed to engaging the Iowa Legislature and confronting the establishment head-on to force our issues:

***Defending our Constitution and the Rule of Law: When the government doesn’t even follow its own laws, you know you have a very serious problem. Unconstitutional Traffic Cameras and Federal actions like the NDAA eviscerate the Bill of Rights and turn Due Process on its head.

***Lower Taxes: Tax reform is hot at the Capitol right now. Liberty Iowa will be vigilant against so-called tax reform that would raise taxes, like Branstad’s gasoline tax, or enforcing an internet sales tax. The end goal should always be to allow Iowans to keep more of their own money - starting with the current 800 million dollar surplus in the state budget.

***Pro-Life: Tax-payer funded abortion, Planned Parenthood funding, and Life begins at conception… one cannot respect liberty without respecting life.

***Agriculture Freedom: Iowans should not be bullied by government if they desire Raw Milk. Over-regulation on the farm and in our diets is ruining our state! Why do we have to import industrial hemp from Canada?

***2nd Amendment rights are critical for a free society. With so much violence being perpetrated by criminals who disregard gun laws, it’s finally time that individuals take responsibility for their own security.

Without a doubt, it’s an ambitious agenda to bring forward – but if you and I don’t carry the torch of liberty forward, no one will.

Every political battle will ultimately be determined by the number and effectiveness of activists on either side.

It’s an uphill battle challenging the establishment and working to change the status quo – but every second that passes it becomes more obvious that our Liberty must be defended.

The secret that no politician will tell you: that you and I win just by taking action.

Engaging the legislature is a tremendous opportunity to advance the message of freedom. We owe it to ourselves to make the most of it.
