BILLIONAIRE is it FACT?? Could be!!!

Last night RP’s grandson (I didn’t catch his name) interviewed Jessie Benton, RP campaign spokesman, on RP Revolution radio.

Jessie said that at the end of the 4th quarter RP had 8 million in the bank. The report has not been posted at www.fec.gov yet.

RP’s grandson did refer to RP getting support from a billionaire, but that’s all that was said.

If the rumors are correct, this billionaire is going to air 3 - 1 hour infomercial type ads.

Off On A Slight Tangent

Rather than create a separate thread, I'm going to question an earlier post on this thread and take off on a tangent.

Except in magnitude, how would this be any different from the thousands of other grassroots efforts which mention Ron Paul's name. Are we, the grassroots, also breaking the "law" and it's just not worth the effort of the FEC to go after all us us "small fry"? How is TV different from U-Tube? How would this be different from the many Tea Parties which were held? Is it just that a billionaire would be worth the effort of going after?

My understanding is that as long as there is no coordinated effort, or contact, with the candidate or the campaign, individuals may, in their own name, promote issues or candidates to any degree.

I am not a billionaire, or a millionaire, but I have spent well over the $2,300 limit promoting RP's campaign. Am I breaking the law?

I know one thing for certain - a billionaire would have the means to fight this all the way to the Supremes.

Taking votes now...

LOL, on whether this 'rumor' should be perpetuated ad nauseum, taking up much needed bandwidth for real info and discussion on how to get RP into the forefront.

$1B = Lots of cookies?

Well maybe the billionaire could give out Ron Paul chocolates or cookies to nudge people to vote RP...better than offerng cigarettes like the Dems did in my town right?... LOL

(joke obviously; thinking people need no nudging to vote for Dr Paul!)

Delete this trash.

Delete this trash.

GRRRRR

Can we shut up about this? WAIT for the press conference... or better yet, WAIT until we here from RP campaign HQ.

Maybe Richie Rich will come to life and lend a hand... and we can all ride the Partridge Family bus to the next caucus...

Time to get serious and focus on the real issues, not 'Fantasy Billionare Backer Camp'.

Why are people polluting this site with this stuff?

At least check to see if it's been posted ONCE already....

I hope

I really hope this is true, someone like that funding 1 hour specials would be so hugely beneficial to us, it'd help a ton in getting the word out there. I heard that a lot of anti-war voters voted McCain, which shows right there that there's tons of people who are just confused about politicians' stances right now, we can thank the MSM for that.

Who is John Galt?

...

I Have An Idea ;-)

Vote RON PAUL 2008
____________
Starting with that statement directly above.

Since everyone is restricted by law as to what amount they can donate to a campaign (billionaires included) that wonderfully rich ($$) person might consider giving all of us our $$ back after RON PAUL is elected our President. Just a wild thought.

Vote RON PAUL 2008

I bet...

a billionaire would donate $2,300 to the campaign.

please STOP!! This was....

....a HOAX!!

I was hoping for...

Ross Perot, but he already dropped his behind someone else...

Well your title

certainly made me look. This was all discussed last night including a comment I found interesting: a DPer said it was also against election law for a wealthy individ. to buy tv time that mentioned RP's name. It would have to be a PAC. -JP

The first 5 million supporters of Dr. Paul are 'early adopters.' The next 10 million will require a modified approach.

I'm not sure

If It was someone like, say, Mark Cuban, who owns HDNET, he could potentially run the ads on his own network without having to call it a donation. I'm not sure about that, but I think it's possible.
