First Miami, now Houston: Military conducting helicopter raids with blank rounds in populated areas. Calling it a drill.

Once again, we see a full blown military excersize in a metropolitan area. Citizens run for cover.

These are beginning to become more frequent.

School on lock down? There's your damages.

Somebody needs to sue. WE need to organize to protest this, every time it happens. We need a "This is not a drill" mentality, and we need to FLOOD the emails and phones of the agency terrorizing our children, and then get on the radio and letters to the editor and scream "bloody murder." Before it is.

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you!

We should learn

we should learn from their ''trainings'' to better prepare for if and when they use their tactics on us (I hope it never comes to that). Does anyone have a full account of the exercises in any of the cites?? No one knows the neighborhoods of our cites like our citizens do.

Well now it all makes sense

Of course they want the 30 round mags and the AR's - a lot easier to pick em off the rails with the low trajectory of the .223/5.56 and 30 rounds of good ole Kentucky windage.
That aint gonna happen with a bolt action.
Just an observation, not trying to give anyone ideas.

The pillars of control are

The pillars of control are failing. What's left to them but crude displays of force to show all of the "malcontents" out there who has the biggest stick? They are trying to surround everyone in federal agents, and now they are scaring people with "drills" to weaken the resolve of those who are getting fed up.

When you boil it down, the only thing left to a tyrant is a monopoly on force. However our founding fathers were wise enough to make sure they would never "have" a monopoly on force. So now they are sabre rattling and trying to condition people to the fact that there will be military style "night raids" on US soil when they begin to come after those who may pose a future threat.

The big question is, will our military blindly follow orders like good little nazis? Somehow I doubt "our" military has evolved much from every other government controlled force in history. Human nature today is little differant than it was in the dark ages. There will be pockets of resistance, but many will follow orders. If I have any hope it is this: Soldiers have youtube too.

Just the facts

Ok, there's much speculation on this thread. Let me list the facts:

From watching the longer video, it's clear that a perimeter was set by local law enforcement.

The school was abandoned, based on the broken furniture laying around and the poor condition of the structure, and the sign on the school saying they had moved.

The filming from the chopper didn't start until they heard gunfire, presumably after the exercise was ended. You're watching the AAR.

There are people in orange vests, those are likely exercise observers that are there to evaluate the exercise performance and effectiveness of the raid element.

The helicopters are MH-6 "little birds" exclusively used by US Army special operations and FBI SRT.

The men that came on and off the little birds were running PVS-15s commonly used by US Army SF, not front line units.

The possible SF guys are wearing multicam uniforms with the new low profile helmets, or skater type spec ops helmets.

The individuals that dismounted and mounted the little birds use standard US Army tactics in an 8 man stick - set up perimeter on the ground, back-to-back, making it highly likely they are US Army SF or Delta.

Those guys (spec ops) are all business in the video, not lawdy dawdy like they just got off the block, like many civilian law enforcement agencies usually are.

None of the people on the ground are trying very hard to hide their face, (so they may not be highly covert units, but if they are, they are being pretty ballsy).

The "OpFor" (or enemy element) was of a very substantial size! There are about 20 rifles on the ground for the AAR! That's not exactly a normal school active shooter lone gunman scenario... strange.

The raid element did not have blank adapters on their M4s, that doesn't mean they weren't running blanks though. With the observers absolutely everywhere, it's highly unlikely they were running hot with live rounds in a MOUT environment. It's just too dangerous even with special ops guys. It's much more likely that they were running simunitions.

Closing Thoughts:

It's comfortable to say that this exercise was not a typical school active shooter response. In fact the school may have nothing to do with it at all, besides that it's an empty building with a large perimeter around it that can be easily cordoned off. Also it has the bonus of giving the general unwashed public the impression that they're doing school security training....riiight.

The US government doesn't bring in special ops teams with little birds to save kids. They just don't care that much, nor could they deploy those types of teams everywhere in the US on a moment's notice. The little bird has a range of 262 miles...think about it. These types of tactics are for pre-planned insertion/kill/exfilt missions.

I don't know what the hell is going on, but it smells like sh$t

Using the definition preferred by the state department,

terrorism is: "Premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant* targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience."

If the government didn't just commit a terrorist act in Houston (and Miami)...it came pretty damn close.

I find it

hard to believe a majority of U.S. military personnel would turn against U.S. citizens in any repressive martial law versus liberty war.

When Kadaffi turned his military against citizens there was slowly but surely defection where military gear started drifting to the side of the "rebels". Something to keep in mind.

You can find tons of articles

Supporting facts that Gaddafi had done right by his people.

Example: Married couples were given around $50,000 to start their lives by the government. Electricity was free. Having a home was a natural right.

We (The US) started taking issue with Gaddafi when he decided to change to the gold standard. That's when we started funding and providing weapons to the rebels, which I'm certain they weren't a group until we created them.

Now, back to your original statement. Most people in the military have been indoctrinated. When you see military raiding people's homes, you see tyranny. When military raid a person's house, they see an enemy they've been ordered to take out.

Where is the evidence that

Where is the evidence that Gadaffi turned on his people, unless by people, you mean armed rebels? That is propaganda.

I'll just throw this out there too:

How do we know they were blanks? How do we know this was a drill?

would report it. Probably sounds counter-intuitive with the lame coverage we get, but the news isn't yet 100% inefficient. There is also the Internet and citizen coverage.

Lowering the public's concerns.

It hit me this way.

Run the drills to familiarize the sounds and visuals to the concerned public. Then, when there are actual events with real bullets, they too are left to be perceived as just another drill while others will be less fearful and less likely to investigate the future "real" events.

This is outrageous to practice these drills on our soil. What did that one man say, "if its to protect the kids I'm ok with it."

Have a blessed day.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.
And those who have not heard shall understand.

"Is this the shower or the gas chamber?"

"Is this another drill or the real invasion?"

Is this even legal ?

Shame on local authorities who are not pursuing this issue with all the agencies involved in this. THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH NEO-CON CHICKENHAWK REPUBLICANS IN THE SOUTH. The morons think put Military on a high pedestal. Military is not supposed to run around in our streets. SHAME.

The last sentence:

"If it's to protect our kids, I'm all for it," neighbor Glenn DeWitt said.

Wow...wow...wow...I am truly speechless at the effectiveness of the psyops...did this 'neighbor' REALLY say that? Kids, what does this have to do with kids and how does this keep them safe? I see potentially mega collateral damage with these drills.

Like the guy behind my husband and me when we were in line at the airport, foolishly having to remove our shoes: "As long as it keeps us safe." Brown-nosing the TSA worker...does it get any lower?

We almost threw-up but managed to hold it in.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Something tells me there was

Something tells me there was a "but" in there and they cut it out. I did an interview once for the news and they chopped and edited it so bad...completely changed my message. I was mortified! I will never do that again.

Opportunistic harassing fire

from non-target sources. I wonder how they'll defend against it when they employ this assault against terrorists in foreign lands.

They seem

to be terrorizing citizens. People are ducking and running for cover. This is not acceptable.

Hey! Did you know that if you fly over the Super Bowl you can be shot out of the sky by your wonderful governmemt.

Remember when George 'Poppy" Bush imposed a "No Fly" over Iraq in the 90's?

Welcome to "The People Republic of America"

What would happen if twenty or thirty twin engine cessnas defied the "No Fly" and flew over the cite of the Super Bowl?...You'd have the 4th of July in February..

So those are their tactics.

Highly coordinated public surprise attacks via low-flying helicopter with multi-agency ground support.

Good to know.

This is the freakiest news I've seen in a long time. And all I pay attention to is the freaky news.

The Military should be ashamed of itself!!!!

This is a horrendous issue... Isn't this the reason the military has "training grounds"???? Turning the public landscape into their training grounds and creating panic and pandemonium in the area is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! And this is NOT about protecting the kids.

What exactly are these agencies up to? What are they planning for? This stuff is starting to become too common. Just like the tanks in St. Louis for a military drill... WHAT THE HECK you need tanks in the middle of public streets for??? Explain that to me!

NO NOTIFICATION!!!??? Don't Tell the public...!!!??? Not discussing what kind of training these punks are up to!!!???

These military folk should BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES for even participating in such events!!!!!

The servants have gotten upity.

They are actually contemplating overthrow of "we the people" by force of arms. Pretty brazen I'd say.

After watching the video about the raw milk farm,

sheriff and associates destroying their family business, and the attitude "just doing my job" or "just following orders", it will be the same attitude when it comes to the fed ordering the military to walk through urban areas taking guns. The chain of command keeps everyone in fear, following orders, unthinking.

Getting the people used to seeing military and tanks in urban areas as in any COMMUNIST nation.
