Help DPers! Movie posted here and I can't remember what it was called!

So I need you guys to help me with a little memory loss:

Back maybe a year ago I saw a youtube short-film that someone posted on here and I loved it...but can't remember what it was called!

Things from it that I distinctly remember:

+ A group of brothers and friends fighting against hostile UN troops in a distopian future.

+ They were wearing patches/hats/clothing with the logo of the Great Seal of the State of Jefferson (A proposed state created from Northern California and Southern Oregon)

+ There was a scene in which a young boy was taught target practice.

Pretty small details I know, but this is driving me nuts. It was a cute little film with fairly good production values.

Anybody know what it is?!?

google searched 'state of Jefferson short film'

search tip: put in every word you can think of that will relate to your search. Not guaranteed to get what you want but will eliminate a lot of things you are not interested in to help you sort through a smaller pile.

THANKS!

Yep that's the one! And odd because I must've done a couple searches on google, bing, and startpage with that exact phrasing...my Google-fu seems to need some improvement.

Thanks again buddy -> Sanity restored.

Haha I love Emperor Norton.

Of all the people that have tried, I might actually have supported him as our sovereign.

I actually used to live in Frisco, so yeah, totally heard of him before.

That was funny...

Wonder if they let poor Norton keep his firearms...lol.

I think that is what you're thinking of:

It just came out this year. I didn't see it. It is a remake of a 1984 film by the same name. That one was another communist invasion propaganda film. This is just an updated version of old propaganda. They were lazy; they didn't even bother to change the title. lol.

I just watched the clip from 1984

What a trip! Propaganda to get you to hate the communists.

But also a good ad for the Second Amendment!

Lol. Thanks Michael but I've seen that one a few times.

Naw, this was a home-brewed thing...but it was worth clicking those links just to check out those hairdos...wow did the 80s really suck that much?
