Geithner Finally Leaves Treasury, Blurts a Whole Series of Lies on His Way Out

By Nathan Tankus, a student and research assistant at the University of Ottawa. You can follow him on Twitter at @NathanTankus

I can’t emphasize enough how satisfying it is to see Timothy Geithner finally leave government. True, it would have been more enjoyable to see him leave in handcuffs, but I take my satisfaction where I can get it.

The unfortunate part about high level government officials who are utter failures leaving government is that when they leave, journalists still fawn over them. Timmy got plenty of interviews from major media outlets but the longest, and thus most nauseating, came from the Wall Street Journal. Reading it is like watching a horror movie where everyone knows what’s about to happen to the character and are trying to warn him/her through the screen. Except in this horror movie I’m throwing my hands in the air and saying “that lie was debunked years ago!” I don’t have the patience to go through each and every lie told in this interview, but I’d like to hit on the major ones.

  • Admitted to be a tax cheat.
  • Admitted his boss, the IMF pre-paid Timmy his income tax allowance. Timmy received this allowance after promising to pay IRS when due. Years pass. He is called to account for his skipped income reporting & payment for IMF earning. Even the IMF paid him an allowance for the purpose of paying income tax. During his personal Congressional hearing, these missing tax payment were brought to the floor. Timmy reluctantly paid.
  • Admitted [by omission] That he was not allowed to sign for our National Debt until near his third year of pretending to be "Secretary of Treasury." Was supposed to witness [Signature on bottom of US Promissory Notes]. Sign or frank.
  • Admitted as Secretary of Treasury, "Congressman, I am not a regulator." Be it damned that was his top responsibility per law. He was given a pass as indeed, he did not regulate.
  • Allowed years to go by whilst his predecessor continued signing [franking] us Federal Reserve notes... Promissory notes [green cash].

Henry "Hank-Panky the TARP" Paulson continued Bazooka blasting our National Debt limits to massively indenture US citizens (now $16 trillion Fed Notes; aka: cash). Hank Paulson's signature [Frank] continued to be signed [pressed] as witness signature on Federal Reserve Notes (bottom right). Ms Rosa "Rosie" Rios continued nonchalantly signing "legal tender" notes... green cash... as our US agent (bottom left) none the wiser to the counterfeiting operation. Oddly, Ms Rios is charged with overseeing counterfeiting. She is responsible for it being done officially.

"Turbo" Timmy & Henry "Hanky-Panky the TARP" Paulson have now both signed Federal Reserve notes as X-Treasuy & IMF agents. What a coincidence. To coin as phrase is protected by the First Amendment to our Constitution. To have gold & silver coined as money is our Constitutional requirement. Who do we hire & why? Those are the questions. Questions that must try man's soul.
