Precinct Leaders, please help me.

I am a classic never before voting, never before active, one sign wave, 2 bumper sticker, two money bomb, 1 just because donating, coworker sick of hearing about Dr Paul from me, outgoing can get preachy kind of Ron Paul supporter. I am willing to support the cause and become a precinct leader in central ohio but have many questions, mostly how do I do it. Need help with a call script and living room technique. Any references or information appreciated.

In Mesquite Texas, a permit
In Mesquite Texas, a permit is required to go door to door and talk to the people. The permit costs $25.00, but a whole bunch of information is demanded. We are allowed to distribute literature without a permit, but the $500.00 per violation fine is a strong deterrent intended to keep door to door sales people out or well regulated. I'm still waiting for my permit application to be approved. The Texas primary is on March 4th so there should be time for me to canvas my precinct.

Precinct leader needing guidance
Just follow Uniblogger, Phat's and justjenmi recommendations, as I was going to give the same, boy you guys are quick. :-) ronpaulreveres site has some good info as will as the official headquarters site. Slow down on the preachy if you can, we want to sway people. Columbus has a meetup group also.
Just sign up on the Official HQ site!
The official site will give you all you need, as downloads. You'll get a detailed precinct list in walk sequence, so you can canvas and drop the appropriate literature to Repubs, Indepents, Gun Owners, etc.. . You don't need a call script, just leave contact info on the flyers and if someone calls you, you got a vote or better yet a volunteer. Jot down info on your precint list and help identify RP voters. The official campaign website will breakdown all of this for you. Key thing is getting brochures and FAST. Talk to local meet-ups or state headquarters. But, if you can't bury your precinct in brochures, just get votes!!
