Is the SHTF about to happen soon? I feel like I have just given up on life

I just feel I have no future. Nothing to look forward to. Stressed out to the max. I'm only 27 and feel like I am going to have a stroke before I hit 30 with my service job that only pays minimum wage. (even though I have a college degree). I still live at home with my parents because I can't afford a place of my own. I am able to save as little that I do make on food and gold/silver for the collapse. I am I doing the right thing? I feel that this is all I can do. I don't come from a well of family so I can't go back to school or anything. I do live within my means and have a few student loans and my car(which I need for work). Am I doin the right thing? I am a single guy, so no spouse or kids or anything.

You're right. a lot of stuff

You're right. a lot of stuff I take for granted. I am blessed for what I do have. I just need to find something less stressful.

I've been feeling extra stressed lately, too.

I can't sleep well at night anymore. Last night, I started thinking about people I love and filled my heart with love. I was out like a light. Check out this video for a new perspective: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp-P031C4Vg

It's seems like an oxymoron to stay happy while preparing for nuclear war, or whatever is coming. But there is reason to be positive. Knowing about the mass corruption is a step in the right direction. How can we solve the world's problems if we don't understand what the source of the problems is? I believe that world peace is possible now! That is, once we get the cartel out of the way. World peace, what a beautiful thing! This is what we deserve.

Fight Harder

... pray harder, give more, go the extra mile. A lot of us are in the same boat. Accept that this is the game that we have to play at our juncture in history. Think of all the power that we have today with the internet! Look towards the greater sorrows and hardships of others and try to help them bear their burdens in order for yours to seem like nothing, to seem like less. 10% of income to be saved, a financial adviser I know suggests. Give to God at church, become a traditional Catholic, do works of charity. Pray for God's grace and that He makes your life into what He wants it to be. Offer up your sufferings to God. Make use of your talents to the best of your ability. Many of the American Revolution died or were completely broke or had loved ones who died. What kinds of sacrifices are we willing to give? "The world has never known more oppressive governments or bigger governments than those which profess the cult of liberty." - Donald Sanborn

I think your attitude needs

I think your attitude needs to change. There are many poor people who live to a ripe old age and enjoy life. Freedom and peace are within you. There is more to life than the government or the economy. Much more. You must enjoy and celebrate your life. THEY can never take away our freedom, as it is within US. Go to a movie once a week. Look for some sweet ladies to talk to. Relish in your breath and the way dirt and minerals all came together to be YOU. It is amazing. Look for stuff to be thankful for instead of stuff to hate and you will find it. There is some joy to find, every day, even in the midst of chaos and turbulence. Look for that.

The stress from yesterday has

The stress from yesterday has caused it. I'm normally not like that. I hate stress, it makes me so angry.

The S is not going to HTF.

It has become clear that the proverbial excrement is not going to hit the fan as some believe. Oh yes the economy will fail but the S will not HTF. When we are in complete poverty and eating dirt to survive the S will still not HTF. When they take your guns the S will not HTF.

You may as well get use to your servitude.

I would suggest

listening to www.thesurvivalpodcast.com I think it will bring some perspective.

You might have a Candida overgrowth.

Candida is a silent epidemic in America due to antibiotics and our high sugar highly processed diets. It causes depression, fatigue, ADD, ADHD, foggy thinking, blood sugar issues, allergies, skin problems like eczema and psoriasis and whole host of other ailments, including type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

The medical community refuses to acknowledge our Candida problem because they make too much money off illness. It would be to their detriment to address the real underlying causes.

I highly suggest that you look into Candida overgrowth and water fasting as a cure.

You have good reason to dread

The wheels are about to come off this bus at any second now.

And when they do this nation and the world will experience the greatest financial calamity in the history of the world.

The entire global fiat currency banking system 'trust' bubble is going to pop BY DESIGN.

For many decades now the paper and digital ' precious metals' markets have been totally manipulated. Unknowable exponentials of 'shares' of non-existent 'paper' and 'digital' 'silver' have been sold over these decades, exponentials that have been used to artificially suppress the value of the REAL PHYSICAL SILVER, and physical gold etc.

Here's why. Our government has been using the actual physical metal value(based solely on what the value of silver or gold would be without any non-existent non-phsical 'shares' to skew the actual supply and demand curves) TO PROP UP THE DOLLAR.

Prop up the dollar with one hand that is...But behind the scenes the government is BUYING UP ALL OF THE PHYSICAL at the rock bottom price that THEY CREATED with the phony paper shares.

One day soon the entire economy is going belly up, and the government will continue to hold down the price
as everyone becomes unemployed and one by one most of us will end up having to sell our metals to one of these 'we buy gold' stores.

Finally the day will come when the entire nation is good and broke, the government will walk away from or outlaw or whatever digital and paper silver, and they will own most of the actual and then they will let the fiat money system bubble pop.

When the dollar comes crashing down the true value of silver and gold will be once again allowed to 'emerge' and the people who sold their holdings will be completely devastated when they realize they have walked into this trap willingly, even eagerly following and trusting their political leaders.

When that day comes the war on patriots will begin in earnest, for then the WARPIGS will have the cold hard COINAGE to pay mercenaries to fight us.

No amount of preparation for this war can ever be TOO MUCH.

On the other hand, nothing

On the other hand, nothing might happen. There are so many corrupt that feed at the trough that their self-interest is at stake first. Do you not think that because the very same issues have been problems since, well, forever...might these things simply continue to be solved with band-aids and cheats without a massive unwinding? I know it would be far less satisfying, but I think it would be much closer to the truth.

You may be poor but you have way more silver than I do, saved.

Why don't you get into prepping a little. Silver is great to have but you can't eat it. Raise rabbits and chickens for meat and other small livestock. Go to costco and buy 50lb rice bags for 20 dollars and store them.

If you want some peace of mind, I'd do that too. Sell a little of your silver to get those things.. you have plenty.

Oh and don't forget guns to keep it all.

Yeah I was going to start

Yeah I was going to start buying some food storage stuff from now on.

if you're really serious, I'll be glad gto show you how I do it

to save you big bucks and a little headache in the future. If you'd rather learn yourself, there are tons of videos on it where people are passing on tips and tricks.

Also give real consideration to the animals and guns.. also traps. I would also think about placing a down payment on a few acres somewhere remote... maybe foods first lol.. It can be overwhelming so yeah.. maybe start slow. :)

Think about it all this way...even if nothing happens and we know it's coming.. you'll have food for any other types of emergency as well. It's just smart to prepare.

Sure, thanks.

Sure, thanks.

Sounds like doing the right things for the wrong reasons.

Rather than live with your parents because you can't afford anything else, live with them because they are family, and you love them, and you want to help them. Focus on being a joy to them, and it will repay you with joy.
Go to your service job because you want to be a part of society, and use every opportunity to plant a seed of truth. You can't be very obvious on the job, but if you spend your time watching, waiting, ready to strike like Ninja with a tidbit of truth, you can while away the hours as a stealth "infowarrior." Who cares how much you get paid? You are working as an in cognito agent for love, the paycheck is part of your cover.
Don't buy silver against a collapse, buy silver to keep it out of those who would make weapons out of it.
One day, you will likely find that your little pile of silver can buy you and your loved ones a new way of life, but for now, remember that it all boils down to a choice between love and fear.

Wise perspective indeed

was a pleasure to read and give thought to.

May we be inclined to choose love!

Exactly, fishy!

You did it again. Got right to the heart of the matter.

I never did understand why it is so tabu for adult children (married or single) to live with their parents in America. Not saying they absolutely should but, what's wrong with that? With the rising costs of food, utilities, taxes, etc., it just makes more sense to stay together, with each contributing something (money, food, caring for grandparents, etc.) to keep the family functioning well. Love makes that easier to do.

The family unit is a powerful bond of love and trust and is the best defense against "invaders" of all types. (You can fill in your own definition of "invaders" as you choose.) The breakdown of the family structure is important to "invaders" who want to control you, your kids' minds and overall health. Not a good thing, that kind of outside control.

I have contemplated this

I have contemplated this option myself. But the real question is ... with what money .. with what job guarantee ... with what guarantee of a place to live? One can certainly try .. but it would make no sense to take any steps without first securing yourself a job elsewhere .. hopefully one that will lay out cash ahead of time or put you up somewhere until you can show a legal document showing you can make the rent.

No good/great opportunities

No good/great opportunities in life come with "guarantees." The greater the risk, the greater the reward.

Exhibit A: Welfare "guarantees" a state of poverty.

sure i grant you that ... but

sure i grant you that ... but it would seem a bit unrealistic to with no money or savings be able to travel anywhere, let's say to another state, in a successful manner, with some form of roof over your head, clean, presentable, and well fed, in order to even have a shot at getting a job.

there is a minimum that one needs to be able to succeed ... i posted earlier and farther down ... this would make more sense if you read my story.

I feel you. The thing is,

I feel you. The thing is, this guy lives at home with his parents, so what are his expenses? I'm sorry but if you can't save money while living rent-free, then you don't stand much of a chance in this world (this is coming from me, a 27 year old who lived in his uncle's back yard for 2 years in order to save enough money to start my first business.)

Hey man, I'm in the same

Hey man,

I'm in the same exact boat as you if not worse. I'm 23 and graduated with a degree in Business & Finance. The degree doesn't seem to help at all in getting a job. I'm working part time like maybe 10 hours a week because that's all I can get with a crappy boss that pays me very little and doesn't even pay me on time. I live with my mother and brother. My father died of cancer in 2008. My mother hasn't worked in 25 years. It took her 2 years to get a job at a local hospital as a patient transporter making $29,000 a year. I happen to live in New York .. so that $29,000 is way less than yearly expenses including car insurance, home insurance, food expenses, gas, hot water, electric. We are barely scraping by with whatever little is left of the life insurance my father left us with.

In late 2010, I had to get a medical withdrawal from college because I was diagnosed with acute ulcerative colitis. I lost 2 years of my life in a hospital undergoing many treatments until none of them worked and I had to undergo 3 surgeries of which left me with a colostomy and no colon. They closed my wound and I have an internal pouch made out of one of my small intestines. Life was good until my father died. Everything went downhill from there.

I invested in gold and silver with my savings back in 2007 which is the only reason why I'm still not on the streets probably. Against my choice, I was forced to sell some of my metals so that I could eat and pay my debts down. I have some left. I was lucky enough to convince my mother to put some money into metals in 2010 and I guess that will be our last money before we are completely broke.

Life is tough. But it sure helps to have some people to talk to about it. I've been on here for 5 years and being a member of this forum has helped comfort me a little. I posted about my disease diagnosis back in 2010 and it was put on the front page of this site. We may all be headed for doom ... but we are in this together ... as long as we have the internet that is ... so let's lock arms together ... because the storm may get a lot worse in the months and years to come.

Hi Ryno!

Well here's a little bit of advice for you, maybe it will help, as I was in a similar situation to you not so long ago.

First off, don't hope for the apocalypse!! That's not something that is going to take away your problems!

Secondly, here's something that may sound really weird but helped me out a lot: Follow your dream.

Basically, a lot of ex-grads like you are stuck in crappy jobs because they're told that that's all they can expect out of life nowadays. However, the reason life is so hard is often BECAUSE you're expecting so little out of life. What it takes to make a better life for yourself is motivation, and motivation can never be found doing crappy jobs that make ends meet. Do you have something in your life that you always wanted to do, that would be your dream job/ occupation, etc? A lot of people shelve these dreams because they believe they can't make them a reality and instead get the crappy job to pay the bills.

If you do have such a dream (however impossible) then here's my advice: DO IT.

No matter how hard, no matter how unlikely the chances of success, its worth it to be motivated everyday because you are following what you actually want to do instead of what is 'realistically possible'.

And you know what else? Everyone around you who feels bad for you because you're not getting what you want out of life, they would LOVE to help you achieve what you really do want to achieve. Your own enthusiasm for it will inspire others to help you and believe it or not, in no time you will have achieved it.

Decide what you REALLY want to be doing with your life in a perfect world, and pursue it. There's really no point in doing anything else.

It's 1776 again in America

I said pretty much the same thing

except in my case I 'had it all' when I started thinking 'what's the point' then decided to do what I really wanted to do and.... abracadabra... massive life changes and all, eventually, for the better. His reply to me: Your post tells me exactly how out of touch you are.
I guess I'm 'out of touch' because I 'had' and he's 'had not' which is absolute crap because he has a roof over his head, food, and family except it's not from his own effort but his parents. He can't understand that feelings of desperation happen regardless if you have or have not. A feeling is a feeling and causation is irrelevent.
ryno is incapabable of relating to most of the suggestions on this thread and prefers the comments that join him in his pity party. He's lost any sympathy he may have had from me.

I just wanted to say sorry

I just wanted to say sorry and to all other people on here I got angry with.

Dude, you're working a

Dude, you're working a minimum wage job with a college degree. Now your gripe is that you didn't "come from a well of family so I can't go back to school"?! What, so you can work a minimum wage job with two degrees and twice the debt?

And waiting around for the world to end? Why not go pick out a casket? You totally misunderstood the message here. Grasp the ideas on inflation and protect yourself, but that's it. Not to hunker down in your parents basement and await armageddon. You gotta live your life dude. Find your calling, take a chance, whatever...

Things are not easy right now!

But I know one guy that is 72 years old. He works in my building he is there every day from 10 am to 8pm doing maintenance and cleaning. Then when he is done working he walks up the street and starts his second job as what I can only describe as a janitor from 9 until 2 am at a laundromat.

Sometimes you think you are doing all you can and working hard believe me I've been there with that train of thought and then you see people that do that day in and day out that work 7 days a week and never go on vacation and it makes you wonder if you are really trying as hard as you could be.

Now let's say you didn't even get a second job lets say you decided you wanted to learn a new skill instead go to night school for some vocational training or something I know some courses at my local vocational are only about 500 bucks and are 3 times a week at night or early in the morning and are only one to two hours. How many of us are willing to sacrifice the little bit of time to really better ourselves?

I know how hard it is I want to party and I want to go out and I want to get drunk and have a blast but I restrain myself and try to do things that will help me out in the future as much as I can. I'm not a machine though and neither are you and we are going to fail and fuck up but as long as you stay optimistic, focused and can find a balance in your life and find happiness and be thankful for what you do have you will be allright.

This world is full illusions right now. There were plenty of kids with me when I was in college some are still there and I thought man there life seems great. They have all this money I thought it was from their parents; they're always traveling and life seems to be treating them well. Then I realized a lot of it was student debt fueled spending and their going to screwed for a very significant amount of time and alot of them are just trying to extend their time which will make the pain much worse by going to grad school and piling on more debt. I shit you not when I tell you one of these people is in grad school right now for gender studies all financed by student loans. She might be having a ball now but eventually the party is going to stop.

Stay positive stay focused remember that their are people that are much worse off and be thankful. Other than that just try to do you best in everything that you do. Best of luck.

I buy gold, silver, platinum and diamonds. I sell you gold and silver closer to spot than anyone else.
