Alex Jones Could Learn A Thing Or Two About Civilized Debate From Ron Paul

(warning: thought provocation area straight ahead)

A lot of people are saying that Alex Jones hurt the liberty movement by the way he acted on the Piers Morgan show when they had their conversation about gun control. I happen to think it was great but a lot of people disagree. They seem to think that confrontations with tyrants like Morgan should be dealt with in a calm and cool manner, and that getting angry is somehow weird or wrong.

As many people know Alex is a big supporter of Ron Paul and has interviewed him many times. Why, then, doesn't Alex look to Ron Paul for inspiration, maintaining his composure and engaging in a more civil discourse like Ron Paul would have done?

See? Ron was able to make his point logically and clearly without upsetting anyone. Loud mouths are for shallow minds, and only polite debate can solve the many problems facing this country.

Now, wasn't that nice? No shouting, no interrupting, no condescension or talking over other people. Yes, Ron Paul is and should be an example to all of us that it is never necessary or appropriate to hoot and holler.

Perhaps next time Alex is in a similar scenario he can behave more like a proper gentleman, but it isn't just Alex Jones who needs these lessons: it is all of us. In any setting or scenario. For example:

-Someone breaks into your house at night. Don't yell and scream! Be nice. Offer them a drink. Ask them nicely not to kill you.

-Your congressman or senator suggests a bill requiring caretakers of children to have video cameras in their home. Don't make a fuss! Calmly and quietly explain to them that you think it's kind of a creepy.

-You come to a highway checkpoint and see U.S. military detaining and searching vehicles. Don't get angry! Don't do it! Hush now, hush. That's better. Be good now. Calm down. Only terrorists get angry at checkpoints. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear. This hurts them more than it hurts you. And after all it is only for your own protection. Remain calm, citizen.

I'm certain Ron Paul would agree.

But if that doesn't convince you, here are a few more people who know that getting angry and getting loud will never get anyone's attention:

Another thing about Ron Paul

He condemns an expressed idea, not the individuals that express them.

I am trying very hard to remember to do the same.

Cyril's picture

+10 This is exactly it.

+10

This is exactly it.

I, too, all too often got angry at despicable personalities... but I try hard, too, to re-focus.

Yes, that's it. We ought to denounce the ideas that fail systematically because WE KNOW they are immoral, wishful, hypocrite, and History has told us about TOO MANY times, already:

http://www.dailypaul.com/253314/democide-death-by-government

Let us defend OR denounce the ideas.

Let us defend the FOUNDING TEXTS, faithful to THEIR IDEA OF LIBERTY THEY INTRODUCED.

Let us Restore not only the Constitution but ALSO the proper usage of Language, ITSELF (and I am NOT just speaking of grammar or spelling, but about MEANING, MUCH MORE SO) - we cannot be faithful to positive ideas if we misuse Language, or waste it, like our ENEMIES DO 24/7 ... TO DECEIVE.

And WE KNOW how the HARM thru improper Language usage, confusion, is sustained, AT GUN POINT:

Peace.

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

"To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous." -- Confucius

At first I was thinking the same.

After a while I started seeing that everyone has a different way of getting a point across because we are all different. A personality like Alex's was perfect and just at the right time. We needed someone to get in their faces and get angry yet truthful. He stood up for us all and because of how angry he got, he got widespread attention. Many upon many neocons who normally laugh at conspiracy theories, DID NOT LAUGH at what Alex said...rather they were 100% behind him, even some Dem men. The Dem women are the ones that would've never changed their minds anyway...don't take away their birth control and abortions...just take away the guns. That's how they think...typical backward thinking. JMHO.

Even though Alex Jones lost it on CNN

It was an exercise in reality. Probably the first time the real reason for the 2nd was ever broadcast. It seems urgent that the American people wake out of their trance.

Alex never "lost it"

He spoke with passion infused with justifiable anger. His message was concise, factually abundant, and highly effective to have done so on a national broadcast so pressed for time. I believe he's woken up more people than say Larry Pratt, who was calm, collected, but was only able to convey just a fraction of ideas within his alloted time.

But likes of both are what's really required, as we witness so many who are turned off by his personality that they can't or refuse to research/question what is really going on.

Personally, Alex's delivery was quite entertaining, which is exactly what the ADD sheep requires today to not lose interest. I wonder what it would have been like, to an audience who are used to being fed bits and pieces of cacophonous information on a daily basis, if this was not the case - meaning, if Alex was calm and quiet instead? YAWN...

Which came first, the mouth or the rectum?

It is my opinon that AJ

did what he did on purpose. He actually was controlled. He went to the interview planning to do exactly what he did. I also think it was highly appropriate.

I wish you could hear the people I work with.

They are mostly neocon men. They speak the same way Alex does when it comes to that subject, and they have for a couple of years now.

That moment of course was NOT a time he was over the top

He did a good service that day.

I think they both could learn a little.

Dr.Paul is too civil at times and Alex is too over the top. They are both Patriots in my eyes until something shows me differently.

How boring life would be...

...if we were all EXACTLY the same! =)

Since Greek times a Patriot was a state worshiper.

The American Revolution rejected this notion, then the Federalists gave us a Constitution that promoted endless federal growth.

The Patriot Act reinforces the notion that the government is our father, and the citizens are the patriots.

The parasitic government protects its livestock.

Free includes debt-free!

Not sure what you're tying to get across..

A Patriot during the American Revolution was seen as I say it and as it is hated today by the state, it was hated then by England.

"88 THE WRITINGS OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN [1773

seem only to have made a small Mistake, in supposing they
modestly avoided to declare they had a Right, the Words of
the Act being, "that they have and of right ought to have,
fuU Power, &c."

Your Suspicion that "sundry others, besides Gov* Bern d ,
had written hither their Opinions and Counsels, encouraging
the late Measures to the Prejudice of our Country, which
have been too much heeded and followed," is, I apprehend,
but too well founded. You call them "traiterous Indi-
viduals," whence I collect, that you suppose them of our own
Country. There was among the twelve Apostles one Traitor,
who betrayed with a Kiss. It should be no Wonder, there-
fore, if among so many Thousand true Patriots, as New Eng-
land contains, there should be found even twelve Judases
ready to betray their Country for a few paltry Pieces of Silver.
Their Ends, as well as their Views, ought to be similar. But
all these Oppressions evidently work for our Good. Provi-
dence seems by every Means intent on making us a great
People. May our Virtues publick and private grow with us,
and be durable, that Liberty, Civil and Religious, may be
secured to our Posterity, and to all from every Part of the
Old World that take Refuge among us.

. . . With great Esteem, and my best Wishes for a long
Continuance of your Usefulness, I am, Rev d Sir, your most
obedient humble Servant,

B. FRANKLIN."

In letters, throughout our early American history, it was used as I use it. To name those that stood against tyranny. Those that stood in defense of England were called "Loyalists".

I don't care how someone twist the use of a word.. I know the real meaning of it so I'll keep using it correctly.

Great stuff...

It makes the distinction I was aiming at.

The Patriot Act proclaimed government the father needed to protect everyone, while dismissing their rights. Some have twisted the terms, glad to see your on top of this issue.

Idiot from Greek idiotes literally "private person (as opposed to one taking part in public affairs)," used patronizingly.

You might find this interesting as well

The word "Libertarian" is promoted as first being used by a french anarchist pretty much everywhere you look but it's earliest use which is ignored was by William Belsham in 1789.

As you can see here, this site gets a lot fucked up.. maybe intentionally, maybe not.

http://anarchism.pageabode.com/afaq/150-years-of-libertarian

Tons of sites that seem to ignore the true first recorded use of the word.

Yes, check out "free"

free: from PIE *prijos "dear, beloved," from root *pri- "to love"

Love in this context makes sense to me.

Free God above and else and free your neighbor as you free yourself, and free your enemies.

Thanks for the other links.

Free includes debt-free!

YOU SIR ARE WRONG

GETTING LOUD AND ANGRY AT PIERS IS WHAT WAS NEEDED,

FACT: ALEX AND PIERS GAINED ALOT OF NATIONAL MEDIA ATTENTION FROM THAT ONE INTERVIEW

would the lamestream national media mafia have even cared if alex was quiet and polite ? NO

FACT: PIERS IS A HATCHET MAN FOR THE NWO AND HE GOT WHAT HE DESERVED

AGREED LARRY PRATT DID A MILLION TIMES BETTER OWNING PIERS WITH FACTS AND POLITENESS DURING INTERVIEW ONE AND TWO, NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THOSE INTERVIEWS THOUGH.

IN SUMMARY ALEX DID GOOD , GIVE HIM A BREAK , HES BUSTNIG HIS ASS FOR HIS RADIO SHOW AND OUR BILL OF RIGHTS! SO STFU

the man Doug Wead on DR. RON PAUL

I so agree with you!

I also think they ended up getting the opposite result of what they expected! Hah! They couldn't even put him on the 3rd segment as promised. He whipped them and it woke many up!

Finally, someone gets it. You really get it!

Alex was banging on all cylinders that night. Slam dunk, game set match, YAHTZEE!

9-11 was a panda job.

I hate to be "that guy"

I hate to be "that guy" but...

We all could learn a thing or two about activism...

... from Alex Jones.

And we all could learn a thing or two about commitment from both Ron Paul and Alex Jones.

It's David Taylor Chase that is disturbing...

have you checked out the website that hosts the article you link to?

Here's the top headlines:

Red Dawn Scenario: Chinese Attack On America Imminent
Army-Navy Football Game Has Real False-Flag Terror Potential
Oil Pipeline, Platform And Refinery False-Flag Terror Attacks Imminent
Terror Attacks Planned For Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Most Likely Bio-Terror Or Chemical
Man-Made Earthquake “Events” In California And Japan Imminent

David Taylor Chase claims he has been forced to seek asylum in Switzerland for exposing Obama's plan to NUKE THE SUPERBOWL! :D
http://truthernews.wordpress.com/davidchasetaylor/

"If David Chase Taylor is ever forced to leave Switzerland there is little doubt that:

1. Taylor may be TORTURED in retaliation for his journalistic endeavors
2. Taylor may be SET-UP, CONVICTED, & IMPRISONED for crimes not committed
3. Taylor may be EXTRADITED to a secret prison
4. Taylor may be ASSASSINATED in order to silence his case
5. Taylor may be KIDNAPPED (Illegal Rendition)

Conclusion

Right now, the government of Switzerland has an opportunity to help the world’s most endangered journalist. There is no question why David Chase Taylor is in need of political asylum, only why he is currently being denied due process under Swiss law. How Switzerland ultimately ends up handling the case of Taylor will have historical implications"

Gosh! :o

MY CONCLUSION:

"Donate

Please consider making a donation to David Chase Taylor in his legal fight for political asylum in Switzerland.

David risked his life and livelihood stopping a nuclear terror attack that would have killed millions and desperately needs your love, attention and support in the aftermath."

~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

As long as he keeps providing good information

Then I don't care if he is a secret North Korean.

9-11 was a panda job.

Just Be Aware

is all I am saying. I watch AJ a lot and have even given him tips on some articles to check out. I just think it is good to know what he does some times. I don't know where he is coming from half the time but I do watch him for the info.

skippy

Bottom Line is

We are all individuals! We all have our own style and unique perspective!
The bottom line is, how did they impact the world? Did anyone understand or learn something?!!!
I like apples and oranges...

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Alex got over 10 million hits on those words

Dr. Paul didn't even get a million in his brilliant farewell speech...which is very sad state of affairs for America. It is what it is....
sometimes it takes fire rather than intellect to get a spark going...

Did you see the comments?

Most of them were saying how crazy he was. People just saw it as a funny video. Even a lot of the commenters who agreed with him said he was over the top. Also, it was 6 million...not 10 million.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

Not true...

Yes, I saw the videos, did you?
One video alone had over 6,000,000 views - that doesn't count the views from other sources and posters - you need to go to youtube with your calculator. Doesn't appear to me that majority comments were negative - on the video with over 6 million, there were 20,000 likes and 3,000 dislikes - vote numbers show predominately positive response.
Don't judge everyone else by your own yardstick.

Out of the blue...you decide

Out of the blue...you decide that AJ is uncivilized in his arguments. Is there a reason for this hit piece as a posting?
