Inspiration!! - Part 2

"[Walt would] tell us, 'Anyone can say, 'I don't like it.' I want to hear you say, 'Here's how we can make it better.'" - Composer Richard Sherman

More strategy, encouragement, and inspiration for RP supporters, from the example of the life of Walt Disney, as presented in the fabulous book, "How to Be Like Walt" -- this is the continuation of my previous post, "Inspiration!! Part 1".

Reminder: I'm just giving you some bullet points here. As RP supporters know, it usually takes time to understand grand concepts, and any list, like the one included here, only serves to whet the appetite. To get the meaty detail (and therefore, more understanding than the "30-second soundbite" will provide), buy and read the book -- it is well worth it. Hopefully, there will soon be a run of demand for this book by RP supporters (and no, I don't have any financial interest in the book!).

NOTE: Nothing contained herein is to in any way imply that the authors of "How To Be Like Walt" endorse Ron Paul. I present this information purely as an introduction to encourage you to purchase this astounding book, and as a means to give RP supporters a glimpse of how we can empower ourselves to charge on with greater strides into the Ron Paul Revolution!

So now, let us quickly post an "RP for Prez" sign on our lawn, adjust our Mouse Ears, and find out: What Would Walt Do?

HOW TO BE LIKE WALT: LESSONS 6 THROUGH 11 (out of 17 total)

Lesson 6: Take A Risk!
"Walt believed in what he was doing and risked everything to turn his dreams into a reality." - Jack Lindquist, Retired Disney Executive

Lesson 7: Dealing With Loss
"Walt didn't have an easy life. He worked hard, and had many disappointments and setbacks. What faith he must have had to go through what he did, and still manage to achieve such great things." - Dorothy Puder, Walt's Niece

Lesson 8: "Plus" Every Experience
"Plussing" is adding value above and beyond what's required. Going the extra mile...and then some.

Lesson 9: Be a Person of Stick-to-it-ivity
"If Walt had one great gift, it was that he kept his head down and kept trying. Over the years, he was told that his ideas were impractical, impossible and would never work: 'Walt, you'll lose your shirt on Snow White, or, 'Walt, give up this crazy obsession with an amusement park!' Walt knew his ideas were good and the naysayers were wrong. Walt proved that the only way to get things done is by sticking to your ideas and your beliefs." - Roy E. Disney, Walt's Nephew

Lesson 10: Become a Sponge for Ideas
"Walt collected ideas and information from the people around him. He called on people who knew more than he did. He sought out their ideas and viewpoints. He asked for their advice. And when called upon, he would also give advice. He believed that ideas and information were to be shared." - Disney Biographer Bob Thomas

Lesson 11: Ask Yourself: "How About Tomorrow?" (Here's where I think RP supporters are ahead of the national curve!)
a. Embrace change
b. Identify ideas and trends that produce change
c. Learn to effectively plan for change
