Okay, I got some feedback on
Okay, I got some feedback on the site and some will think it's just "spamming" but some will see real potential. I wish I had time to build relationships with these people. I ended up spending 45 minutes posting to a guy contemplating suicide. A lot of stoners toke up to escape pain. A couple of the younger guys I used to work with opened up to me about feeling rejected by peers, parents and society and I think escaping into pot made them feel not so alone. Anyway, getting involved in something bigger than themselves, say, a Ron Paul campaign, could help give them purpose and fulfillment in their lives. Please don't pass up on reaching out to these souls - they have a lot to offer and much to gain. Thanks.
Escape pain?
Sorry, but most pot smokers I know do not smoke pot to "escape pain." They smoke it because it makes them feel good and relaxes them. There are many reasons people smoke pot. I dare say that to "escape pain" would be a very rare one.
Pain
Obviously "escape pain" means emotional pain in this instance. We're talking about "feeling good" instead of "feeling bad."
People who have hope and a purpose (like we do), don't need to medicate.

There are hundreds maybe even thousands of threads and some of them have 35,000 hits. Strategy: 31 days to get 1.3M supporters
Let's start with 1 RP supporter recruiting another and say that at each step this group of people recruits at least as many as the members 1 step before. Here is what the numbers will be at the first few steps of the recruitment (Fibonacci sequence):
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ...
Example, if 21 current RP supporters are able to recruit 13 others (NOT 21, perhaps due to some die hards Huckabee or Clinton fan, etc), then at the 9th step, the total RP supporters will have reached 34 (=21+13). If one continues this, RP supporters will look like this at steps 24 - 31:
At step 24: 46,368.
step 25: 75,025
step 26: 121, 393
step 27: 196,418
step 28: 317,811
step 29: 514,229
step 30: 832,040
step 31: 1,346,269 supporters
So, if one recruits 1 new person a day for 31 days, there is a chance RP membership would reach 1,346,269, if you are convincing 62% (=144/89, say) of the time.
If each RP member donates $100. RP would have $134,626,900 ($134M)...in 31 days :)

I smoke pot
I smoke pot and have been a fan of Ron Paul since the second debate when I seen it on youtube. Seriously just show them one of those videos that has clips from the debates, I mean we have nothing to lose. If they don't like him after that, oh well, if they do it's another vote. You also MUST remind people to REGISTER and VOTE in the primaries. That is VERY important for people to know.
