He's correct, but...
I don't know why he keeps saying "natural rights come from our humanity". That's too vague.
The reason why immigration should not be interfered with is because -- the property owner gets to decide who is a trespasser and who is not. And the US government does not own squat.
Property comes to be owned through the homesteading principle.
i think he wants to leave it
i think he wants to leave it open for god-believers (who would claim that their rights come from god) and non-god-believers (who would claim that natural rights exist due to rationality, etc).
im pretty sure he personally believes the former, that he himself gets his rights from the god of his choice, yet he isn't naive enough to believe that one must believe in a god in order to "have rights".
