Want to share an instrumental song I wrote and performed.

The link is at the bottom of this post. The music is paired with some general thoughts about life in the text of the video.Although Ron Paul is mentioned in the video,it is mostly philosophical in nature rather than directly political.Hope you enjoy the music and I hope the thoughts presented in the video make you think.Thank You http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=hia... ...

That was lovely.

Life is giving me an interesting lesson in forgiveness these days that leaves me a bit at odds with the philosophy, but the music was really beautiful.
When it is the other way, when one has wronged you and in their guilt? shame? spite? they blame shift it back to you... and you love them enough to forgive it all, the original offense and the blame shift... and you apologize to them, over and over, and they keep refusing to make amends with ever shifting specifics... "You didn't apologize for THIS, though..." What is one to do? I have forgiven as fully as I know how, and this person holds other people I love hostage in this dispute. I am not saying there is a better, or a more complete answer than forgiveness, but I am saying that is what I need.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

From my own experience....

I have found that of course you can't force others to forgive. You can only set an example with your own actions.I think pride is so destructive, especially because many people are not even aware it exists..Once I became aware of my own pride,it made it so much easier to understand why I ,as well as others, act, say, think and feel the way we do.It became obvious that pride is what makes people unwilling to forgive and unwilling to admit they are wrong about anything, whether the issue be personal, political, religious, patriotic, philosophical etc..My only advice to you would be to try to make unforgiving people aware of their own pride. They may not want to hear it,but I think we all need to be aware of it.I just try to keep my own pride in check, make other people aware of it and hopefully set a good example.
