Let's Call It The Douglass Day Dinner

Every February or so, local Republican parties throw a "Lincoln Day Dinner" to celebrate the birthday of the Great Emancipator and raise money. Our local GOP has decided to call the 2013 iteration the "Lincoln-Reagan Dinner." February is also Black History Month for some folks, so it kind of works out that we celebrate Republicans who have done so much for the Constitution and black Americans. After all, Lincoln freed the slaves, right?
