So if this is a spiritual movement how the heck would one define it?

This dude called Michael Noystrom, total unknown, you wouldn't recognise the name suggested or even outed us as a spiritual movement. If he had any recognition at all I'd tell him to shut his big phat trap and keep this cat in the bag. Cause basically I feel outed. I was in a way happier in the closet.

I kinda look back with nostalgia on the times when A: nobody knew what a libertarian was and B: nobody cared.

Somehow to liberals these days I keep saying LIBERTARIAN ISN'T A RECIPE FOR LIFE, IT'S A RECIPE FOR LIMITED GOVERNMENT but I distincly remember a lifestyle that had primarily to do with stepping back and watching the world drive itself crazy. But the oldstyle was we were equally comfortable in a city hall meeting, a high dollar fundraiser, the black church that rocked a whole city block on Sundays and an all-out balls to the walls hippy party or perhaps a biker jamboree. We simply had no enemies.

Nowadays we seem embattled on all fronts and this I relegate to the "problems you want to have" category. What the heck? There's a time to party and a time to fight, all things in their time and there is nothing new under the sun.

This component of spirituality? Well frankly I've been subversively pushing this for years. I didn't expect some closet geek to come out, to out us all but now that it's done, it's done. I might as well tell you.

IF THERE IS ANY HOPE FOR NATIVE AMERICA AT THIS POINT POLITICALLY AND AS SOVEREIGN PEOPLES IT'S YOU.

As I say this the blood is draining from my face and my hands are going cold. To make such a naked appeal to you, well my motives are revealed. The reason why I am doing this is becuase I believe you can help my people. And man oh man do we need help. We have much to offer in return but I will make my case.

1. Among all people you understand the Constitution to be the highest law of this land now.

2. You practically alone know that by this same law, all treaties are held to be as high as the Constitution itself.

3. You among all people understand sovereignty both at personal and national levels so you are capable of understanding "us" as sovereign peoples, native to this soil, that this is "our land" at least to the extent that we have noplace else to go.

4. Re-read points 1-3 above cause that's the story as it is now. Realtime. You are the only ones that have an interest in helping reinforce this point.

Now let's talk about what we can do for you. Most of you know about Free Lakota Bank and the silver coins minted there and the depositor accounts you can open today. That bank is secured on a SOVEREIGN NATION. And it's literally defended by WARRIORS. Yeah sure there's a vault and tribal police but any incursion onto this property would literally be AN ACT OF WAR and trust me, we'd have 3rd Wounded Knee, indians from all surviving nations would literally go there and do war.

Salient point (pun intended)

Treaties are designed primarily to cease war. It's presumed that only the treaty stands between present action and past SOPs, Standard Operating Proceedures so a treaty broken means very simply that the former status quo resumes ergo, WE ARE NATIONS AT WAR.

But the advantages are if you are with us, you have a way to secure value where da gubment can't legally touch it and we have recourse in our own courts.

Let's move on to the idea of refuge. Your SHTF plan. Let's talk about the reservations. Let's talk about permaculture and aquaponics and sustainability. Let's talk about intermarriage and how on some reservations you can buy land and open businesses and do all kinds of stuff.

There are open reservations and closed ones. And all points in between. Some like Havasupai just forget it, if you aren't born there you are welcome to come visit but you ain't stayin. A lot of the Hopi have basically shut the doors and us Bahanna (to them I'm Bahanna just like you) can't even get into Basket Dance without a special invitation which is kind of a bummer, it's really amazing to actually SEE Katchina and how incredibly nuanced these dances are) but other tribes like...well lots of them including Cherokee and Dineh (Navajo) get into fractions of blood. I think you can be like 1/16th Cherokee and still qualify for tribal membership and if not on some places you can actually "buy" land although it's more of a perpetual lease thing, and it's heritable in many cases meaning you can leave it to your children and your children's children as long as there is peace, "as long as the rivers flow and the grass grows". And you can open a business and do business and conduct yourself and respect the elders and learn things and next thing you know you are surprised to see a white face in the mirror.

And I guess this leads me to the final shebang. Spirituality. And frankly a completely different outlook on life. So different that I can't begin to explain it, you have to live it but for starts we have a completely different definition of life itself. EVERYTHING IS ALIVE TO US. Everything. And everything is a "people". Even the rocks. The are the Rock People. Trees, animals, clouds, lightning, land, water is all literally ALIVE to us. We can talk to them and I'll tell you a secret right now: so can you.

We use trees to send messages over long distances. Forget what you heard about smoke signals (perhaps binary at best) we still use trees to send more complex messages: how are you, I love you, I'm sorry your pop died, we need help, whatever. But we have more.

We have lots of practical instruction and survival skills to teach you but spiritually our primary 3 methods of instruction are:

1. Stories. Never call them "myths" or "legends", the stories are FACT.

2. Song. Each song is handed down as a gift and you have to learn them perfect and not change a single thing. They are to be preserved utterly and literally unchanged. The songs should be absolutely the same so that if a person from a thousand years ago walked up they should be able to hear it exactly like it was.

3. Dance. This is often your introduction, the first literal steps you make to enter our "circle of life". This is often the "hook" because if you feel it, if you feel the Earth under your feet and your heart rises to the singing then this resonates through you and you just know it. You are there.

It so happens that this spirituality is all sequenced and refined by such nations as Lakota. Whom practically everybody world wide thinks of when they think "indian" with the long eagle feather war bonnets and the regalia and the face paints and painted ponies and horse culture.

Man oh man can we talk a lot about horse culture. Which science tells us was acutally a Spanish import, we supposedly didn't have horses before some of them escaped from the conquistadores and we can talk for hours about how this very culture only existed for a few brief generations before genocide caught up and how horses transformed plains culture from a people that spent most of their time running around on foot chasing buffalo and suddenly they could keep up and invented something we never really had before which is LIESURE TIME and that's how we had so much time to come up with really asweseome beadwork and handcrafts and regalia and so-forth.

And how it evolved warrior culture and the definition of being a young brave because suddenly the only way you had to prove yourself and get your sweetie was to distinguish yourself in battle or by thieving. Yes, thievery.

Which is as good a way to bring some not great news. I just want you to be ready.

If you aren't pure blood you will always always always be somewhat of an outsider and believe me again, you will experience racism. You will get it right in the face. Just remember, when you make friends with even one of us, we consider friendship to be eternal. If I am your friend our children are friends and their children and we remember things for a very, very long time.

Also the reservations, the larger and more open ones are really pretty screwed up. I'm really sorry to have to say this but somebody should lay it out on the table. There's major alcohol abuse problems, drugs, holy cow drugs, youth gangs, hopelessness, poverty like you never probably seen it, despair. Tragedy. And the only answer we have is tradition. But tradition isn't dead, it's very much alive.

Since White Buffalo Calf returned, we know that all the dead warriors have come back to life, it just didn't happen quite the way we expected. We kind of assumed they would be born into native houses but as it turns out they are reborn EVERYWHERE ALL OVER THE PLANET and I truly believe in my heart, it's happening right before my eyes, now is just about the right time, i am talking about you young people.

I MEAN I AM TALKING ABOUT YOU AND TO YOU YOUNG PEOPLE FOR I BELIEVE AS MY EYES SEE THAT YOU ARE THIS NEW GENERATION AND YOU ARE CHANGING THE WORLD.

I AM SAYING YOU ARE THE WARRIORS REBORN. OUR PEOPLE. MY PEOPLE. MY BLOOD AND MY BREATH. And I believe you are coded to return home and this is why you need a spiritual revolution. This is why you have recognized that your political efforts have a spiritual component. Lakota have it all layed out in 7 ceremonies but I will tell you something about that.

This is not a race, there is no finish line. You have the rest of your life to walk the Red Road and then theoretically it gets even more interesting but you don't have to be a Sundancer. And this should appeal to you libertarians: it's so highly personal that some things we don't even talk about. Your understanding of your relationship to God and all things is highly personal. You kind of keep it in a secret place in your heart and even though you give almost anything there is still that one secret place in your heart where the magic happens.

Oh and by the way you don't have to convert or reconvert or unconvert. Chrisians, our ways do not supersede or replace yours, in fact they kind of overlay and mesh up and interlock. You can totally be a Christian Red Road native. The Sacred 4 Directions are like God's agency here to help us, the powers that He put into this odd matrix of time and space which we call Planet Earth and more specifically, the land you stand on is known as Turtle Island.

And I'll tell you something else for nothing: this is YOUR LAND. YOU WERE BORN HERE AND THE EARTH DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE, SHE LOVES YOU EVERY BIT AS MUCH AS US BLOODS OR PART BLOODS OR NO BLOODS. ALL OF US JUST THE SAME, ALL THE TIME, ALWAYS, ALWAYS HAS AND ALWAYS WILL.

EVEN SHOULD THE RIVERS STOP FLOWING AND THE GRASS STOPS GROWING. EVEN SHOULD THE MOUNTAINS FALL TO THE EARTH. EVEN IF THE SUN STOPS RISING IN THE EAST AND SETTING IN THE WEST.

So here I've gone off rambling so much I forgot my initial point. Among us are Christians, atheists, Jews, Muslims, agnostics, general all-around good types, we come in every colour, every shape and every size. We even got folks who think alien reptillians from the Pliedes system running around. Who knows why? We're all basically bouncing off the walls totally and enthusiastically embracing whatever the eff grabs us at the moment and among "normal" people, we believe every single thing we say at least for the moment.

What I like about "our momvement" is that we have this morphic capability, we adapt and react so fast, faster than any establishment can keep up with, a certain unpredictable factor there that keeps us amusing at all times...

It begs the question if we're a spiritual movement, what exact spirituality are we into or selling? I'm really not sure myself. Seems to be like biology; like evolution our movement is trying all solutions all the time and sometimes one wins. But we never stop trying.

To the East and to the South and to the West and to the North, AHO.

Mitakuye Oyasin.

Now the hard part.
