It's a comedy...

of errors.

What's wrong with it?

What's wrong with it?

Well, just as for any other commercial about governments-owned military forces - in whatever country:

our taxes paid for it. That's the very FIRST THING WRONG.

Q: are our (men's) taxes paying for feminine products commercials?
A: no.

Q: are their (women's) taxes paying for male products commercials?
A: no.

Q: then, why would ANY citizen's taxes pay for commercials about governments-owned FORCE-AT-GUN POINT (now, potentially including AGAINST the people themselves)?
A: no defensible reason.

Even assuming we'd accept the idea of a government-controlled military (hence, somehow, tax payer-supported), they shouldn't even have to make commercials to excite the people's patriotic fiber/encourage joining. People ought to feel compelled to do so, by themselves (join and serve) - that'd be a much healthier sign of what it is ACTUALLY about.

(IMO)

P.S.
just noticed herbrp made the same point below, before. Even shorter.

What wrong? This sentence for starters.

"I will obey the orders of those appointed over me." [What?] ...SO LONG AS THEIR ORDERS TO NOT CONFLICT WITH THE CONSTITUTION.

They forgot that part. We have enough mindless brain-dead zombies who are civilians without there being more in the military.

Next one:

"To defend freedom and democracy around the world" That activity is unconstitutional, and it can also be called empire building, country destabilization, and undeclared wars of aggression. Minding our own business is Constitutional.

exactly

This is the what my answer would be.

It is propaganda

All the good points, none of the bad. Like all advertising. As with beer ads, they aim at young people, but don't tell you about the beer belly you'll get by the time you hit 45 (my age).

We Are Women Of The Navy ~ Vintage posters of Women in Navy.

We Are Women Of The Navy 1 minute. Circa 1974. A WAVE at the Naval Recruit Training Center in Orlando, Florida, goves a feel for the Women's Navy. Enjoy marching? especially the marching songs? Here, a wave sings one of her favorites. Sing along: every time you sing "left," you should be on your left foot. Ditto on the right.

Just a

typical stupid Navy commercial that talks about spreading democracy to the whole UNIVERSE.

Navy Commercials have always been SHAT going back to the late '70's. Nothing new here.

Human submarine was rare film footage.

The 1/2 man captured on film was quite rare. Notice the 2 sailors in the conning tower have the 1/2 man behind them. His lower torso is the submarine itself.

The backgrounds were out of focus. Shadows were seemingly an afterthought. Colors drab. Not compelling. Poor choice of camera angles & hardware displayed. Weak feature, benefit & all to action.

Might have saved a lot of taxpayer money to just buy "Top Gun" theater tickets & food coupons. Maybe top it off with this: Nascar Politican

Nice they mentioned the Constitution. T

Everything?

Global good presumptive that America is Empire. And how about paid for by the Navy. OUR TAXES PAY FOR THIS PROPOGANDA. Why do my hard earned wages pay for something I despise?

Did they start recruiting

Did they start recruiting straight out of middle school?
