Fox News hits 12-year prime time low

Fox News had its worst primetime ratings among a key group of viewers since 2001 in January, according to the latest figures.

The network had a 12-year low in the coveted 25-54 demographic in primetime and fell to its lowest total day ratings since 2008, a press release from rival cable channel MSNBC stated on Tuesday.

And January marked the worst month ever for Fox’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” among the 25-54 demo, as well as the channel’s lowest total viewership in the 10 p.m. hour since July 2008.

Aw, I feel just terrible to know

I've contributed to Fox's current hardship. (Lower ratings translate to lower advertising income.) And, yes, Greta's failure to rise above the crowd was especially disappointing. Along with its warmongering and other reasons, Fox would have to know that its blatant blackout of Ron Paul was among reasons people started to leave. http://i.imgur.com/UvJTT.jpg Hey, just for old times' sake, I think I'll indulge in one last look at that Jon Stewart clip: "Even when the media does remember Ron Paul, it's only to reassure themselves that there's no need to remember Ron Paul."

It would appear that increasing numbers simply don't trust them anymore. As to their ratings, I'm reminded of The Limbo Song. "How low can you go?" Guess we'll see! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgCHOrF5ryY

People who watch cable news.

Are outdated, uninformed, are led by the nose,Wouldn't know facts from truth. Do not take time to look into facts just what the media tells them.Probably still have cassettes,VHS players and are outdated in today's Internet highway.Paul Revere rides the Internet highway. But some outdated people follow,Hannity,Beck,Matthews O'reilly like groupies following Mick Jagger. And some get their panties in a bunch if you talk bad about their bright shining fading stars.

From approximately 2001

From approximately 2001 through 2008 I (unfortunately) watched a LOT of Fox News. Used to have them on the TV even to listen in the background while I was working. For a while there I (even more unfortunately) considered myself to be Bill O's biggest fan.

In early 2008 I saw first hand how Fox News selectively edited out Ron Paul important moments in one of the debates. The hosts had dropped a loaded question on RP and he absolutely hit it out of the park. During the live debate it of course was aired. But immediately following, during the replay of the debate, Fox edited out that part of the debate where Ron Paul really shined. Instead, Fox cut to commercial & returned to a point forward in the debate, skipping that significant RP debate moment.

I think that for me was the straw that broke the camel's back. From that point on I cut probably 90-95% of my Fox News viewing. I very rarely watch Fox News at all anymore. Today not even 1% of the time I used to spend watching or listening to Fox News.

Fox even edited boos over top cheers during one of the CPAC conventions as well.

Fox News absolutely does not deserve our support.

The former Fox viewer/neocon

The former Fox viewer/neocon is probably the most valuable activist because they know how to communicate with current neocons.

Whatever we're doing let's keep doin it because it's WERKIN!

I'm no fan of Wayne LaPierre

But I heard Chris Wallace on Sirius radio and he was like a little punk attacking the NRA. What the heck? Is he part of the masonic blood pact or something? No, probably he's just a hollow soul, completely susceptible to the cheap emotional tricks that they are trying to use against the public at large and lol he's fallen for it and is supposed to be an opinion leader.

Fox is lost, with Wallace and O'Reilly, Hannity almost seems like an angel.

Now we need to perform a boycott on all

major 24 "news"-networks on Sirius.

Liar Propaganda,

Eventually is bested by truth!
All MSM, Go To Hell!

Dude, it's not just fox it's

First, you can't really take an article form the communists at Politico serious...

Second, it's not just fox it's cable over all... In fact Fox still dominates the nightly news. American Idol is down from average 30-35 million to about 15-18.

I got rid of my cable and TV and I assume a lot of others did and are doing the same.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Failure is an option

The right-wing, NEO-CON propaganda machine isn't working so well after Fox's darling candidate Romney failed as bad as the GOP's "big tent" approach.

Have the masses grown tired of war mongering and constant partisan bickering? If so, the masses are ready to move on. What message will attract those ready to listen?
