"Who Is Deaf but the Messenger? " ( Isaiah 42: 19) Wakening My Christian Brothers and Sisters? How?

Increasing discouragement has only intensified over the last election. (My husband is immune to this dis-ease, having suffered a severe bout of it when William J Clinton was re-elected, his bouts have lessened over time :)Maybe this severe bout (which started with the Bush re-election) will impart to me some immunity. But somehow I doubt it.

The events caused by the Presidents are a major part of it, but the real acceleration of the decline of the rule of law is a root cause.
It pains me to write this, but the Christian Community is a larger part of the problem than I had previously thought. From the booing of the 'Golden Rule' at the Values Voters Debate to the "We have no choice (really) but to vote for the lesser of two evils, don't you understand that "X" has no chance?", "Do You Really Want Obama again?" crowd, the strong temptations are to: hide out from all of my brothers and sisters who do not see the truth of what they are doing yet, or to tell them all off..

I have done neither as of this point, but I have also not done much in the way of educating yet, either. Some are open, and with them I share as far as I can. Others are less open, so I pray for them. Any other advice? It's tempting to simply tell them that attending a 401c3 does not make you a Christian, and they may want to question whether they are selling their birthright of liberty for a bowl of tyranny stew by being a member of one, but I have not left all the 501c3s behind either, at least not yet. Advice is appreciated, whether you agree with my faith or not.

A lot of folks are now home churching

The movement is still in it's infancy. But people are leaving the institutional churches on a steady basis now.

I don't personally feel like a meeting is more biblical in someone's home(though I do believe if you are careful about who you meet with, it is safer.) But it is definitely a step in the right direction to get out from under professional "clergy" and work towards the Biblical pattern of church government of peers/brothers who are Biblically qualified elders.

If you can find just one other family who believes the true gospel message of Acts 2:38 and who desires at some point to see elders ordained, a family who shares your heart's burdens, dreams and most importantly, shares your vision of what the local church should be, you will be miles ahead of the pack.

Keep trusting what is solid to help you make the right choices for action.

Among other passages: Ezekiel 33:2-6, and Matthew 7:24-27.

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

You are doing all that has been

given to you to do at present, so take heart and have patience.

Pray for reformation and revival. The Western Church is in a period of declension, so there is a lot of bad theology and shallowness and ignorance. Only God can change that, and He will in His good time.

Help, Please?

Thank you.
