Obama Skeet Shooting Photo Is A Hoax?

First, the theory:

The photograph of Barack Obama skeet-shooting isn't a photograph at all. It's a still from a film.

Why?

The puffs of smoke coming from the barrel. This takes something like 1/500th of a second. Whoever took the picture managed to capture this event at just the right microsecond in time, perfectly framed, and in focus.

If it is a photograph it is worthy of a Pulitzer. Award it now. No other photograph taken this year or at any other time in history could compare to the difficulty of getting this miraculous shot.

Everything about this imposter president

is phoney!
He is of his father the devil....the father of lies!

Its easy to get a photo like

Its easy to get a photo like that.
I've got many like it from historical battle reenactments with my Nikon D40. 1/500ths isn't even 1/5 of the top speed of a camera shutter. Plus with newer cameras, 10 photos can be snapped in under a second.

What puzzles me

about the photo is the vertical appearing plume of smoke that looks like it comes from the right hand side of the barrel only. Vented barrel shotguns that I am familiar with have rows of holes starting on both sides of the sighting rib on top and ending before the center line of the barrel. Smoke from both sides means that the rib should be somewhat obscured in that area, and there would be kind of a "V" of smoke begining at around 90 degrees to the long axis of the gun. I'm thinking Obama had this gun custom ported so it tends to naturally push left when fired. Maybe there are some smarter folks who can help me.

I mean the White House

I mean the White House photographer is highly skilled. And it was a photo op, nothing more. So time and planning was done for the perfect picture. That's Pete Souza's job..

I agree Chris

But this was actually what Boma was doing

Violence. It's the one thing I detest.

I abhor it.

Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

Dude

With today's technology it is actually pretty easy. I also imagine that this photo op was a huge PR stunt so they most likely had a top of the line camera set on a tripod either capturing many images per second or simply record and use software to capture it at that exact moment. I don't think he would fake shoot, why go through all that trouble?

That photo is as fake as the @-hole's birth certificate.

Obama is a creep impostor.

.

This is a real clever piece of propaganda.

Laughed until I cried.

I say it's a hoax

Because there's no pictures of him with a bruised face in the days following this "skeet shoot"... IDK about you guys but I don't know ANYONE who would hold a gun like that when firing it. Not only is it strange how he has it against his cheek, but also how it's positioned on his shoulder. I can't tell what gauge that shotgun is, but even with correct form a 12 gauge bruises me which leads me to believe he would have been in pain the next day if that photo was real.

Also, I've never been skeet shooting myself but I seriously doubt anyone would attempt to fire at a disk at that level. There's no way your average marksman could aim and fire before it got much higher than his aim indicates.

Fake

I think it is staged also, but not for his line of fire. I have seen the disk go up and the shooter bust them coming down, as little as two feet off the ground.

My 90 year old mother could do a better job holding the firearm and aiming than he is. His eyes appear to be lower than the line of fire on the barrel. From his position, he probably wouldn't have been kicked him in the face, he doesn't have the gun positioned at his sholdier, and his hold on the gun, probably, was not strong enough to kick him in the face. Most likely it kicked the wadding out of his shoulder, causing him to lose his grip on the gun.

It is obvious to me, it is not his gun. The stock is much too long for him to aim properly.

digital photography today is wonderful. ;)

i use a canon t2i and have captured similar shots... you just hold down the button and autoshoot pictures during the 'event u want to capture' then you go select the perfect one...

we've gotten shells ejecting midair with smoke coming out of rifle, etc.. it's not at all hard anymore with digital cameras...

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

Well sure. That's the most likely answer.

Whether a single frame from a film (flame flommer flim?) or one of a series, my view is that this wasn't the only image taken, but the best of many.

So why not release a bunch of pictures? Pure propaganda purposes (Peer plopper - oh, nevermind).

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

why

would they release more knowing that people are just going to do this?

Google

'skeet shooting' and you will see plenty of pictures with smoke like that. I am not saying it couldn't be from a video, but your reason is not very good.

Ive never shot

At a clay target parallel to the ground. Looks like a trajectory to a fixed target.

This is just silly

There are lots of ways such a photograph could have taken. Whether or not the photo is 'real', the evidence you present is severely lacking.

I do not know...

The pathetic manner in which he is holding a gun seems to point to that little straw of a man.

lol

So the guy ((may have) took a shot...

Whats your point

My point is that you heard it hear first on Daily Paul

This theory of mine will go 'viral' - others will try to recreate the event, film it, youtube it, prove it could not have happened.

I will be famous for this - I'll take my newfound fame and power, double up, flip it, roll it, take over the world. You know, the usual.

Pandacentricism will be our downfall.

hah actually i commented first on dp

I thought your point was that the pic was a photoshop forgery and that our president is pretending to "shoot skeet" to come off as a more reasonable "firearms enthusiast" when he tries to invalidate 2nd amendment.

If that was your point i was going to say that, while i think hes definitely faking the hobby, i dont think they are so lazy that they digitize all photo opportunities. Its not like hes allergic to guns
