CARRIE and THE NET

I was managing a drive-in movie theatre when CARRIE came out. It played at least 6 or 7 times during the 18 months I was a manager.

Later, while working at a major movie studio, I met him while working on THE NET, with Sandra Bullock.

He's right, when he says economics explains everything. American history, told by my econ professor in about 2 hours, never made as much sense as it did from an economic angle.

There are powerful economic interests in war and world conquest that are built into the system and get behind and support some of the worst ideas. The best ideas don't play favorites: they're good for everyone, but people don't step up and put money into them.
